To those ppl who say they hate bird spit, will you dare to try the bird's Menstruation? (Which is the egg you eat everyday from a hen) Are Spit and Menstruation both disguisting? so why you eat an hen's menstruation? i had bird nest soup be4, its taste amazing and the texture of the bird nest is almost like jelly. To the ppl who think this is disgusting, what is wrong with you? think of alot of food we commonly eat today, its full of chemicals that modifies quality and shelf life. Actually, it's like eating agar agar, smells like freshly boiled eggs and contains a variety of proteins, vitamins and minerals.

The nests are harvested AFTER the chicks have flown the nest (and are therefore empty) and instead of going to caves, today, bird's nests are harvested from apartment styled swiftlets.

At least that's how it's done in M'sia.
