So is this game recommended? I see that it's developed by the Wonder Boy series developers and I'm curious if it lives up to those games? Thanks.

Not the greatest, but it's an interesting little game. Kinda reminds me of Mario 2 (US) but character switching is done on the fly. What this video doesn't show is the minor strategy element of choosing different paths on the map screen.
