  • i rememeber being in the movies and it was al the adverts before it and this came on and i was like, i know this, i know this, and bam JOY DIVISION, came into my head. i got a hyped i had to listen to it half way through the movie rather than watching it.

  • Guys Joy Division got hyped up for only having their name mentioned on Granada tv (Curtis got pissed because the band wasn't in just their album). How do you think he'd feel if he saw this? Hed Fucking love it!

  • Well, at least this is a cover and not even the New Order version.

  • 0:14 omg.

  • @poemZX I do too - ???

  • i luv this song....i was so happy when they used it for this commercial

  • Uhhhh ok... I never said they were...

  • love that tune!!

  • love that tune!!

  • When Joy Division wrote this song originally I don't think they intended it to be in a vodka commercial. This song means more than that.

  • @genericusername337

    Good for you.

  • ah thanks. someone told me about ceremony in an ad and i had to find it!

  • Enjoy the ad? Do you work for Absolut unlimitedpungtang? 'Underground' listeners (whom you obviously despise) more than likely don't listen much to Nirvana. Go back to work and commercialize a Pet Shop Boys song why don't you?

  • @putinsweasel

actually, i quite like underground and I agree with him..

  • @putinsweasel i wouldn't say joy divisions underground

  • @putinsweasel lol i listen to both Joy Divison/New order and PSB, why hating?

  • Joy Division encore et encore....Ceremony

  • i doubt ian or any members of joy order/new division would give a damn. yes ian was a self absorbed cultured drug addict like all great artists but he also had adolescent fantasies of becoming a rockstar like iggy and bowie. i'm tired of internet kiddies whining about commercialism when that's what sustains the economy and acts as a buffer zone for your precious "underground". go back to listening to nirvana folks, whiny ass cobain is more up your alley.

as for everyone else, enjoy the ad :)

  • @unlimitedpungtang dude ian didnt take any drugs, he took prescription meds for his epilepsy but yes i do admit he had such fantasies, and no need 2 hate on nirvana, cobain was great although he did whine alot :L

  • @0mgwtfbbq21 no worries dude. i love nirvana and cobain and i listen to a lot of mopey stuff like elliott smith and red house painters. that comment was just an attempt to pacify the folks who are obsessed with something as arbitrary as commercialism. i doubt mozart would go into a rage fit if he heard his piece in an elevator. he'd just laugh it off, much as i assume ian would if he saw this commercial, maybe it's what he's doing now? :D

  • @unlimitedpungtang amen to that brotha!

  • Dear lord Absolut employees! Joy Division fans know that only Absolut employees would write a positive review of this commercial. Joy Division was anti-commercial, this is the last place Ian Curtis would have wanted his song.

  • My two favourite things in the world: Ceremony and vodka :)

  • The song is originally by Joy Division. ;) But it's cool. Joy Division became New Order and they still played this song.

  • fuck THAT.

  • this shoun't be in an alcohol commerical seriously

    joy division is too good

  • One of the best songs I've ever heard.

  • great song lol:P

  • such a ace song :) i <3 Joy Division

  • Awesome to see they used a track by New Order!! Best band ever!

  • fantastic, magnifique, incrivel

  • thats from a greek channel! STAR channel! elladara

  • Joy Division - New Order

listen to the great original songs ;)

  • damn!!! what is the name of this song!!! who`s band is

    please tell me!!!

  • @PiixelFamicom The song is called Ceremony. The band doing this version is Fall on Your Sword.

  • @PiixelFamicom The original by New Order is MUCH better ;)

  • @PiixelFamicom The song is "Ceremony". It was written by Joy Division but officially released in 1980 by New Order. The version in this ad is a cover by Fall on Your Sword.

  • Oh thank god you posted this one, I've been looking for it!! I love this commercial!

  • i love it too :) im glad u found it :)

  • @zinedinealex Dude what is the song!? Nice commercial too :)
