@nitrodudezoom he did not combine with his trailer like this in the show. It was apart of him, not just an optional add on. He couldnt just get rid of it if he wanted to. Therefore, it does not combine like city commander. Unless youre talking about the toy that is.

The White Cab? He always was, what we saw was armor. The movie would've confused the kids. Prime died, wait there he is. Ultra Magnus would forever be known as the "New Optimus Prime" his toy had the white Prime redeco though, along with the armor.
