If you cannot see the difference with "here is a divinly inspired book written over a thousand years ago" and "here is a book which points towards certain things, if we go and investergate further the reality and this book is remarkebly concistant" then you need to think.

"On the origins of spiecies" was written 150 years ago, and 150 years of reaserch is what back up the theory of evolution, not the book written 150 years ago.
