  • Wait...what? If the pure bred rottweiler is responsible for 60% of all dog related deaths, then how can it be second to the pitbull? There's only 40% left of all other breeds.

  • we have 4 rotties and 1 pitbull - for me they are the most gentle dogs. sadly they have worst reputation but because of good training and lots of love, all 5 are so playful and fun to be with. but when the night falls, they become the best guards... rotties are very loyal. thank you for the video.

  • My aunt had two, they were horrible. I was chased by one of them when I was a kid. Been scared of rottweilers ever since

  • Thanks to a rottweiler I'm not scared of dogs anymore. The best dog I've ever met was a Rottweiler, died of old age a few years ago though.. Miss him. :(

  • @ankiutanpytte my friend had a roty, she was soooooooooo nice to people, she was considered "the babysitter"

but she died a few years ago. my friend doesnt talk much to anyone any more...

  • thanks to a rotweiler I have a large scar across the right side of my face, and the inside of my right cheek basically has fake tissue in it. I was five when I got attacked and all I remember was crying because they were putting the dog down.

  • Now I got a Great Pyrenese (Chapel) I wish my rottie is still with me.

  • i miss my rottweiler (Fatt Chai) he died of old age at 11.

  • I LOVE ROTTWEILERS

  • turtles are better

  • german shepherd is better

  • @autumn2354 Both German shepherd and Rottweiler r great.

  • @AvatarOfDarkess i think gsd r better

  • i have ALWAYS wanted one but my family dont like them like i do <3

  • Rotties are great dogs....I had a male rottie that died a few years ago and he loved children and little dogs--he was so patient and gentle with them. Just very intelligent, loving and loyal dogs...

  • weak bones my ballsack. these kinds of breed problems are what you get when you buy dogs from pet stores, who bought the dog from a puppy mill. buy your dogs from legit breeders who know wtf they are doing and it will be happy and healthy for many years.

  • @jrowe6 thank you.

  • early training isn't optional for any dog

  • @TyAmLak no just for them

  • i've had a Rottweiler for 6 years all my years i've had him he was always on my side he never let a person do anything he always wanted to protect me, even from other dogs. he never bit me he only wanted to play. but he is in a better place R.I.P. Chucky

  • i love Rottweiler's

  • Hi Inlove to learn about all kinds of dog so whoever made Dogs 101, then thank you!

  • y do some dogs need their tails docked like whats the reason for it??????

  • @PrideAzn123 Reason for 'working' breeds to have their tails docked is they run the risk of breaking it. Shorter the tail, the shorter the risk.

As for pet dogs, no reason aside from looks.

Same goes for ears. Fighting dogs have cropped ears so the opponent dog is less likely to grab a hold of it. Working dogs commonly have their ears cropped to supposedly help locate where sounds are coming from.

  • looks like my

    baby girl mylie

  • The docked tail makes them such a cutie!!!

  • @Sweettartsgal but its wrong

  • @Sweettartsgal I think dogs with undocked tails look alot cuter. But I do think cropped ears sometimes look better in certain dogs, like dobermans. I prefer dobermans with cropped ears. Unfortunately its illlegal in my country, so ill live =P

  • i grew up with 2 rotties. they were both rescue dogs. although ive come across a couple ill tempered ones, the majority that ive met have been more then delightful. when i was a baby i learned to stand by pulling their fur to guide me up. most are patiend and gentle. its all about their upbringing. its a shame they get such a bad rep. all breeds can be nasty, just like all breeds can be sweet. you'll never know until you take the time to get to know them.

  • @hilarious441

rotts are leaners. for some reason they like to lean against me the most.

  • omg lmao

  • My neighbor had a Rottweiler named Kitty that was super sweet!!

  • if anyone thinks rotts are bad you should come see my rott you would get killed..in LICKS!

  • My great aunt had a Mastiff-Rottweiler mix. I loved that dog. He got cancer I think and had to be put down....He was huge, but very loving, so I love rottweilers

  • I think rottweiler was the best. He stopped two robbers from robbing a lady beside me and they could have possibly killed her in her sleep. But sadly all good things must come to a end and he died from a hip diease.

  • gsd are better

  • im confused what should i buy a pure bred gsd or a pure bred rottie ??

  • Excellent video...right on.

  • i got a rott and i love

  • @chand312 dont know why

  • 2 danouses dog!!! woow

  • @MaruPadilla yeah they are

  • i was going to get a rotty but i got a pitbull instead

  • One tip from a German.

If u want a good, healthy dog, dont get a dogbreed thats Origin is Germany.

German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Dobermänner and Dackel are all Breeds that have various diseases caused by bad breeding.

The average life range for a Rottweiler is only 9-10 years.

  • OMG! I love them

  • Beautiful Dogs !!!!!

  • german shephred are better so are dobrmans

  • @teddybear4422 this video is abut Rotties.

  • @JessieAckles so andddd

  • @teddybear4422 Your comment was about GSDs and Dobermans not Rotties. Post that on those videos. Don't like the breed, go elsewhere.

  • @JessieAckles cuz i dont like rotts

  • @teddybear4422 Like I said, take your hate elsewhere.Rotts are beautiful dog I wouldn't hesitate to get one.

  • @JessieAckles rotts are ugly and mean

  • @teddybear4422 They are not ugly nor are they mean. Its the owners fault if ANY dog of ANY breed is mean. Its never the dogs fault.

  • @JessieAckles rottweriler dont have a good mined there mined snaps

  • @teddybear4422 Yes, they do. Once again its not the dog, its the owner. And the second part of your comment mkes no sense. You seem to know very little about Rotties. Remember people say the exact same thing about GSDs and Dobermans.

  • @JessieAckles gsd are better fact

  • @teddybear4422 They are prett much even. Rotts do indeed have a stronger jaw/bite it has been proven many times.I am not saying GSDs are bad, I loveed the breed for as along as I can remember. I am just telling you don't judge a breed when you don't know all the facts.

    Just FYI:I have 2 GSDs.

  • @JessieAckles but gsd are a lot smart more loving then rotts whi cares about the bite

  • @teddybear4422 Both dogs are extremely smart and loving. Both will go to the end for their masters. Both are extremely protective and loyal.

  • @JessieAckles yes but as gsd is more and if you have a gsd you would know that

  • @teddybear4422 Yes GSDs are protective and loyal andso are Rotties. I have been around both. I work at an animal shelter I deal with dogs of all breed. Rotties are also protective and loyal.

  • @JessieAckles ot saying there not but its a fact gsd are smarter and more loving and not as mean

  • @teddybear4422 Once again Rotties are NOT mean. Its not proven a a dog is "more mean" or a dog is "more loving". Both dogs can be mean, but its the owner that does that.

  • @JessieAckles one kill my dogs poodle if that

  • @teddybear4422 So?That doesn't mean they are all bad. Tons of dogs will do that. Its called "prey drive". GSDs have that also. Some dogs(even of the same breed) have a higher drive than others.

  • @JessieAckles but it was my frineds dog and they always played it just trued on it

  • @teddybear4422 So what if it was your friends dog. Why was the poodle out anyways? Was he/she leashed?Or were they just randomly roaming around?Your friend should have known better than to leave the dog all by itself.

  • @JessieAckles they were in a yeard playing something they both did your years

  • @teddybear4422 Just because 1 Rottie did that does not meant they are all mean.Stop judging.

  • @JessieAckles that made me to like them

  • @teddybear4422 Just because 1 did that?Thats called ignorace on your part. You seemed to know very litlle abou Rotties and are adding to the BSL fire.

  • @JessieAckles sorry about that did it for me

  • @teddybear4422 Your not sorry. You won't beuntil you realize your ignorance is adding to the list of many innocent lives being killed.Learn about the breed before you judge and respect it.

  • @JessieAckles they mite be nice but i will always love the gsd more then any dog breed

  • Best dog ever! I've had 'em all my life. I even own a few Good Dog Carl books myself. 'Loaded gun?' More like to much energy if you don't walk them. The only thing that I have seen Tank, my most recent rotti, bite is her food. She is always within 5 feet of me, even when I go take a shower. And talk about the best cuddle buddy when it's cold and at bedtime. You are more likely to be bit by a golden retriever and a border collie than a rottie.

  • I read a comment that said a St. Bernard would own a Rottweiler??? Man please im not a dog fighter and I love dogs greatly but a Rottweiler would destroy a St. Bernard in a fight. St. Bernards are big love bugs not fighters or guard dogs. dont get me wrong Saint Bernards are good loving caring dogs and may look the part of a big bad dog, but dont try it in a fight with a Rottweiler. But Rottweilers are great all around dogs and are very good guard dogs.

  • What is overbreeding? Is this inbred used to much?

  • its when a brother and a sister or a mom and a son you know..... to much breeding

  • Thanks. Yup, that's what I ment. But I also wonder if overbreeding is possible when you mate more distantly related dogs but the restricted number of undividuals in the breed make it genetically unhealthy for the entire breed anyways, after long period of breeding.

Ok, never mind. That's a question to an expert

  • i could anwser... but i cant under stand. little words please

  • I'm not sure what you mean

  • nothing... ur talk in big words :O

  • Oh, I see... you're being sarcastic because you felt offended that I assumed you wouldn't be able to answer. That's childish behaviour of 59 y.o. person :) Still I think only a geneticist could answer that.

As for me using words, English is foreign language to me, so I find it difficult to phrase my thoughts. I didn't mean to offend You initially but now I see You must be bitter motherfucker :)

    Have a nice day

  • no no no i wasent offended!!!i think we had a mis comunication....

I did not under stand ur question.... lol

  • not truth but You made me laugh now :)

  • 0_0 I dont get it

    u were kidding O.o....

  • Hmmm... I see it might have been miscommunication indeed. This conversation got silly. Let's end it right here :)

  • :( then send meh a pm?

  • Rottweilers are extremely overprotective and need training to help them decipher real versus perceived threats.

  • thinking of getting a rottie down the road... anyone know how they act around little dogs? (we've got a weiner dog and chihuahua)

  • if he's rasied with them sure.

  • I'm sure rotties are capable of being loving, loyal, and wonderful members of the family.

I'll never have one though because they freak me the fuck out. but most dogs do, so that's why I'm a cat person.

  • As far as some of the postings on this vid, my rott's are more intelligent than most posters:p. I stand for the pure bread!!! I've got loving, well educated, dog's. I'm proud to make a stand for them and ban ignorance!

  • these are one of my worst Nightmares...and still are...

  • i dont know why. i have NEVER met a mean rottweiler never in my life. pitbulls on the other hand, i hate those, and for good reason

  • Rottwilers are my dangerous.then a pitbull can ever be,IN THE WRONG HANDS!!

  • the asshole of a dog always is on the other end of the leash...rotties living in a kennel, just used for sport or as guard dogs without love, i agree, but that is true for all breeds..

a dog that is used to be a loved family member wont get agressive wizh no reason..

  • yup...and poorly bred dogs...that come from gentics..

  • my aunt has own old as hel......It has a head of a rhino....its HUGEEE

  • i luv rotties! there are so cute! n they are so loyal to their owner

  • I had a rottweiler back then and she had babies but sadly she died T_T

  • docking the tail is not cruel its just like getting a circumcision or getting the umbilical cord cut. its not cruel as long as a vet has performed the surgery!

  • i dont agree on you on that.

its a part of there back.

see a rottie with a tail and one without a tail swimming, and you see what i mean.

the rottie with no tail , hangs with the back part, the one with a tail have there back part at the top of the water, works like a balance on them..

    i

  • I refuse to buy a dog with a docked tail from a breeder who doesn't have the proof a vet did it. it's not that bad. it's done young and under anesthesia.

  • can they live outside

  • yea, if its not super cold, or super hot. and they always need a source of water and some shelter. shelter does not mean a tree. they need a dog house to protect them from the elements. also, you cant just leave them out there all the time and pay no attention to them. but....if youre going to work 9-5 every day, and its nice outside, and you have a properly enclosed area set up for them....hell yea leave them outside. also, make sure strangers cannot get into the yard. it needs to be locked in

  • florida is to hot to have the dog outside, they need lover, and if you cut their heair short. they will be happy and the house will be clean. they love to be next to you and way for you cold, cleand and fresh.

  • gotta love them rotties

  • not only americans docked their tails.. it was fairly common in alot of countires, though more and more people are keeping the tails now which I think is a good thing.

  • i love these dogs

  • rottweiler are so much better then pitts i like oitts but rottwilers are def better

  • like the dogs in ancient rome......

    go buy a cane-corso

those are direct decents of the ancient rome =>cane pugnax

  • @mfluri2 no there not

  • I can't believe Americans still dock their tails??!!

How fucking CRUEL can you guys get?! SELFISH, IGNORANT - IDIOTS.

Tell you what, the next yank guy that cuts off a dogs tail, no matter what breed, i'll cut his dick off.

  • and the English don't?? I saw a few in london. but yes it is CRUEL, I would never do it. OH YES, not all Americans, are yankees.

  • You speak like they are killing them..... lol dude

  • i have a year old male rott..love him.but the only problem is, he is too excited when i walk towards him so he will accidentally urinate. .how can i stop him from doing that? and from always licking me.?

  • My rottie did that up until she was about 3 or 4 years old. But she'd always get excited and urinate etc. when she hadn't seen a person in awhile. And the licking...I don't know.

  • oh i c.people normally tell me that dogs are supposed to do that when they're puppies

  • I have a rottie german shepherd cross and she is one of the most loving friendly dog around.

    she is awesome

  • A mastiff's bite is more than three times as strong!

  • wrong.

  • No I'm right. I looked it up. A english mastiff's bite can go over a thousand pounds per square inch. Do your research you freakin rottweiler fanatic.

  • do not fuck with these dogs

  • @dhals1m why

  • Great dogs, require a TON of training and socialization for the safety of both the dog and others. I'm on my 7th Rottweiler, and there is a definite consistency in their attitude and demeanor. Smart, funny, needy, and protective, these animals should only go to owners who are serious about their training as well as their interaction time--the dog demands a ton of attention. Fortunately, they are a real joy to be around when properly trained!

  • I have had Rottweilers for over 30 years now and every one of mine have been wonderful, loving companions. I couldn't imagine a better breed of dog.

  • my grand parents has one of these

  • I don't know whether I am more afraid of a Dobberman or a Rottweiler. From which one would I have more chance to get out alive. Mmmm.

  • cheesypasta, rottweilers are very easily trainable dogs. They are not for everyone, because not everyone knows how to properly train without "damaging" a dog. They are wonderful companions and very loyal. I have a German Shepherd, and know many well bred rottweilers, and will tell you that rotties are incredible and trustworthy, it all depends on their owner.

  • i love em;

  • They should do one on the American Pit Bull Terrier.

  • I agree !!!!!!!!!!

  • Just beautiful dogs! <3

  • huh "early training is a must" and "use caution with strangers" is bunny hugger language for "difficult and iracibul" all you hippies need to get real and accept the facts.

  • Tbh, I bet a St Bernard could own a Rottweiler

  • it was funny when they're like

"and rottweilers, have a BIG head" XDDDD

  • I like cats, they have a mind of their own. :):)

  • no it doesn't. Dobies are sleek with short hair. Rottweilers have longer hair and fat different shaped head with a barrel body. So no they are different.

  • Rotts are muscular not fat guy

  • Its NOT the DOG its the owners.

Bad owners= trouble for the dog & others.

  • agreed

  • @AWOLFNAMEMARTI I agree. We have a German shepherd living with my grandma, she's really frail, and the dog is super hyper, and my dad dosen't understand why.

  • @godzilla964 you think german shephred are better then rottweilers too.

  • @ForeverxMemoriesxxx rottiweilers are alot better then any sheperd dog

  • @TheCaneCorso no rottwerilers such gsd are better

  • @ForeverxMemoriesxxx rottwerilers are too better

  • @TheCaneCorso nooo gsd are

  • @TheCaneCorso if your going to bash a breed at least spell the breeds name right.

  • @godzilla964 try walking her!!!!

  • @AWOLFNAMEMARTI you know what you might be right and thats a big might

  • I've owned 4 Rotties and I think this video is very accurate. The Rottweiler is a like a loaded gun if not trained properly and constantly. The worst thing is when people under-estimate their power and protectiveness and a tragedy happens.

  • I am a Rottie owner and I don't think this video represents the majority of the breed. My dog is a big "meat-head" and has never showed any aggression towards anyone(and she had good reason to being she was abused and starved almost to death before I got her)

  • 2:45 cute circular brown eyebrows :3

  • You want the most pushover-type dog, get a rottweiler/doberman crossbreed. they act all tough, do this weird half-chocked barking thing, and then whine A LOT. And when they want to be petted, you'd better give them all the attention they want or they'll keep on pushing you into a corner until your only option IS to pet them. They are so sissy... I knew someone who had one, his name was Dio (pronounced Dee-o).

  • i love rotties but when they fart they can clear out a room!

  • omelets smell good i thought?

  • I liked this video.

I dislike it when people constantly badmouth Rotties so much

  • scary

  • Rottweilers the best dogs in the world!!!!!!!!

  • This dog is for me and I never thought they were that hard to train. Talk about man's best friend. Nothing but positive experiences with two. Sweetest dogs you may ever own. As long as you're not a punkass drug dealer.

  • Because even though their the same breed, they can be so different! That goes with race! You can be black, white, asian, mexican...ect but we're all different! That's a good example when you want to argue with racist people lol

  • cool!
