I pretty much feel the same way; except for me it's not about countries; I just a fan of dope dancers and crews period. Despite that the one truth here is that it was a dope battle and both sides came correct.
sorry to all but MIND180 won the entire competition. This battle was a definite highlight of the event, but again this was some time ago now but MIND180 won. but the cypher... well thats a whole different story.
So I think Rivers should have taken this. If they didn't, the judges were biased. Nothing against Mind. They are a dope crew, but I just feel Rivers did better. I don't know the entire crew of Mind but there are dope guys in it. The Cypher battle was better in terms of defining each crew, at least Mind. I have seen better from Rivers. Anyone know why they call them Powerheads, if they aren't using their muscles? But relying on leverage, joints and positioning.
I get that the foundation is based off of Power but I just find it funny that most rely on leverage or positioning of their head or shoulders for stability rather than muscle. But I understand why they are called powerheads and I guess its all about the label and how that label is stemmed.
This was a Crew battle and I saw very little from Mind. Better stuff came from Rivers. I don't know if it was the vid or the audio not being in sync, but Mind did not look like they were matching the beat. Rivers did better at matching the tempo and beat. I will say based off the solos, Mind did take more of them. But this was a CREW BATTLE. Utilize everyone and build transitions. This is something that Mind lacked throughout, not until they got closer to the end did they start doing that. JMO.

I wouldn't really consider Mind 180 a super crew. Nasty Ray and Casper are the only members who aren't Mind 180. Killafornia is more of a Super Crew in my opinion. Too many people ditchin their old crew to join Killafornia.

i like the how the bboys in USA all have the original flava and style...but it's sloppy, really sloppy viewing from this camera angle.
but seeing it from the naked eye gives a different feel...i prefer cyphers and small jams compare to the big ones on stage (especially BC ONE), i guess cyphers and small jams shows better character of different bboys

how the fuck did usa win this? they were sloppy throughout the whole battle. especially in part 1. their crew sets sucked ass. unsynchronized. and guys tripped on each other. rivers owned their asses. foundation my ass. it's just some cheap shit to rip the crowd off. casper and milky r the only good ones. power with style. rivers slammed mind 180 still. wtf is a backspin in a battle like this. they can't do 2000s like c4 does them. they should stay in their place and stop throwing signs.

BOTY drifterz vs. pockemon, pockemon was so sloppy and repetitive...drifterz had better form, musicality, clean, and synchronized...yet still pockemon won
its the same thing in this battle too...it's what happens when you get too good, the judges feel bad for the other crew that got slaughtered so they give them the sympathetic and pity winning vote (please don't flame me, im simply stating my opinion and this is how i see it)

OKAY Truth be told.This has got to go down as one of the best battles of all times.Props to both crews.Now being that said,I can't begin to tell you how great it is to finally see a crew from the USA play with the big boys.Mind 180 has swagger and are a bunch of cocky ball busters but thats how you win world championships.Not since the days of the legendary RockSteady, Dynamic Rockers and NYC Breakers have we seen A USA crew capable of one day winning a world championship like mind 180.GOOD LUCK
