These victories mean I was wrong ... in the past ... about the power of the people. Now we are fighting SOPA, we will win against this as well. But yeah, when this video was posted I was just figuring out the power of the people in the US, and coming back to these vids reminds me of what has been accomplished. I am proud to be an American (USian), and I can finally say I feel like one.
You know why I hate the Motor Vehicle Department? I wait forever for terrible service. You know why I hate going to any state or federal office for - whatever -? I wait forever for terrible service.
So tell me how this will be different with socialized medicine?
Why do I picture the long lines of Communist Soviet Union where people waited forever to get shoes, and then it was a toss up whether they wear them or eat them? Is this the change I was promised? Is this our bright future?
@studiojtr Really? If that's true why do Canadians come here for our doctors? If you don't have big bucks in Canada you will be on a waiting list for a doctor, and I hear the wait is something like 2 years. Watch Crowder's other video of him going undercover to show the b.s. they had to go through in Canada. One man sit in a ER for over 6hrs with a broken collar bone only to be told to come back the next day. With no meds in the mean time. Yeah sounds great to me doesn't it to you jackass?
What the victory means to me is that Obama is an ineffective pussy who couldn't sale peanuts to an elephant. The removal of the end-of-life consultation was not an admission to being a death panel. It was just a good old fashioned cave.
We're all like rats on a ship, most compartmentalized, most don't even have a clue as to Who Why nor How the World Bankers hold the Thermostat on how to make society not like their life of working hard in a Hijacked Sound Money System In 1913.
Govt help ONLY for the POOREST OF THE POOR who can CLEARLY demonstrate a need, and in small amounts, otherwise rely on charity and work overtime trying to get a job.
Nope, the basic and necessary care in Germany is covered by taxes that people pay. Private insurance industry cannot charge a frank for a basic, necessary care, not to mention that majority of people generally do not buy additional private coverage - no need to. Only those who want some "royal treatment" do.
@irusin2000 What exactly is "basic, necessary care?" Neither gov nor ins cos pay for aspirin and I have gotten headaches many times. Colds & flu? Again I just go to the drug store and get such medicine. So what defines "basic, necessary care?"
Germany & UK and elsewhere have been cutting back on services as the funds aren't there. The state of MA is rationing w/a mean waiting time of 36 days for an appointment. Welcome to gov-run health care: rationing, then bankruptcy & failure.
@irusin2000 Canada has a great health care system. You can go to a walk-in clinic for something minor, cut, bronchitis, breathing treatment. You can have your own doctor, even hospitalization is free. Some have private insurance through their jobs and they pay for all prescriptions, acupuncture, massage therapy, etc., If you don't have a job social assistance will pay for your prescriptions. I made an error of course we pay through our taxes. When you reach old age the gov pays for all.
ya but u have to wait....and wait.........and wait.........and wait for a long time.plus they are trying to get out of that heath care and into our kind before obama screwd it up and made it like theres
@dadgame8 What country are you talking about? The US or Canada. I lived in the US for 7 yrs and the health care system there is terrible. You have to have top notch insurance to see a dr or get into the hospital. It is getting worse. Drug companies pay out more money into advertising than they do research. Cancer research is a farce as far as I am concerned. If money was a cure for cancer they wd have found it yrs ago. They have billions of $'s. Pretty sad ppl are made to suffer.
@empressofthefrench Actually drug companies pay far more money to go through all the hoops that hte FDA puts in front of them. As for cancer the USA has the highest rate of survival of cancer in the world and no, you don't need top notch ins to see a doctor or go to a hospital. I actually do work in the health care industry.
The real prob is too much gov. Cut back on FDA regulations so that more drugs can go on the market not just 1:15000.
@Aegius Well that is good to hear about the cancer survival. No I meant all health care is free in Canada. If your job gives you extra health care benefits, say for acupuncture, massage therapy, orthotics, walkers, scooters, then that is paid for through your extended coverage. Our government does not pay for the above. I shd say the gov pays for walkers, scooters,etc., if you are on disability or 65 and over. I work in the health care industry also.
@empressofthefrench ...2 The FDA passed a drug in the US called Savella, formerly known as Milnacipran, which is used widely in Europe, England and China. It was supposed to be available in Canada last year but we are still waiting for it to come on the market. It is now available without a prescription, which is unusual bcs it is an antidepressant used for pain such as fibromyalgia. I just wish they wd hurry up with it. To buy through a Cnd pharmacy the drug comes from the US, Turkey,etc.
i would like to know what we as a people are doing about the fact. that, we are buying oil from countrys that hate us. we are cutting back on the amount of oil and gas we produce, at the same time buying more and more from nations like Saudi Arabia? call me crazy here but wern't the 9 out of 10 of the 9-11 hijackers from there?
No, none of the 9/11 Hijackers were from there. There has never been any evidence to suggest the identity of any of the Hijackers, and some who were claimed to have been Hijackers were either in prison at Guantamo bay at the time or not in custody and are still alive but to this day have not been removed from the list. The reality is, the US doesn't know who flew those planes.
I, Robert William Weiderman, an American, am so proud. This is a victory for me, a young man who has been terrified at the way many American people as of late have been getting bullied into these kinds of bills, and I am ecstatic to see that we're finally taking a stand against these ridiculous ideas. Unfortunately, many people look to the government for answers, guidance, and when they're fed this kind of b.s. they'll believe it immediately. This is a huge step for us, I hope it keeps going.
Hahaaaaaa! -Steve'Crowder rules, he has a gift for getting the point across in a most entertaining wackie-way, that would make me want to watch his News-segment even on the NWO-controlled Media-news, -which judging by some inane commentary is apparently way over the heads of the dim-bulb liberal'crats (-emphasis on the '--rats'). Kind'of a JamesGarner Rockford-type guy. --that has a great future as the Internet leaves the criminal-media ABC/CBS/NBC/NPR increasingly abandoned... !!!
I we should a have and army of volunteers ready to read all sections of each bill (divided up) and send out alerts to a Steven Crowder (bullsh*t n the bill)' page so that everyone in the Nation can see the bs with out having to read 2700 pages. That you'd be a start. Love what you do brother, God bless you!!
all this political garbage is made up to keep our minds occupied so we dont uncover whats really going.......extraterrestrial/human breeding projects. our leaders are working hard to create a hybrid being composed of the two dominant species in the universe, the humans of course, and the sembonians from planet norac 6, who of course dwell in the adjacent galaxy.

You are retarded. You haven't even looked at the bill, and have made baseless assumptions. Republicans are just racist buffoons, with nothing better to do. They play no part in the advancement of America. They are the ones holding back progress. 9 in 10 republicans identify themselves as white...Absolutely racist bunch of people. You are included.
@noobmaster31 First of all, what does racism have to do with ANYTHING addressed in this video? LISTEN to what is said before you say something stupid like that.
Also, do your research. Which party made up the Ku Klux Klan in its inception? Which party had the most black senators and reps until recently? Before you go and tell me how wrong I am because you were educated in public school, do your research. You might be surprised.
@AndiEmme1 you may also remind him to look at the votes when rights were given to the blacks.. Almost split down party lines. The only reason the (D) president at the time signed the bill is because the Republicans had enough votes in the house and senate at the time to override a presidential Veto which they already said they would do.
@AndiEmme1 the real question is which party was conservative and which was liberal, you see it may have been democrats who created the KKK but if you look south of the mason dixon line then you'll see that all of those racist "Democrats" are really conservative...do you research
@noobmaster31 Did you read or even look at the bill? It's more than 2400 pages long. I did read sections of it, but frankly refuse to read the bill & just want it thrown out. It turns out that Donald Berwicke, Obama's new Health Czar states that he wants "death panels" as a gov agency determines if a person is to receive treatment. Next this has NOTHING to do w/racism. Hold back progress? Progress is cutting back on gov, not expanding it. We can't afford the bureaucratic nightmare in DC anymore.
Yes, I read the entire bill. This so called "death panel" is a provision that would allow you to be reinbursed for any costs associated with you having consultations with various doctors regarding your family memember's critical/near death condition - get it stupid? The bill wants to protect you from having out of packet expense for these kind of services - get it, you idiot???? Read the damn bill before you reveal how ignorant you are!
@irusin2000 Reimbursed for any costs? Gov rations costs by rationing care, b/c it doesn't have unlimited funds. As there is nothing to hold down costs due to unlimited demand as the service is "free"(meaning tax paid, so you are supposed to get it.), it limits care or any other item that it has control over in the economy. The only costs that are reimbursed are determined by distant bureaucrats who have no understanding of the needs & wants of people, nor really care. cont....
@irusin2000 The death panel is a government agency called the Federal Coordinating Council for Comparative Effectiveness Research who will get care & how that care will be provided for. Whenever the gov gets involved in economy activity, it LIMITS via rationing how that activity will be provided for due to limited funds. The only way not to ration a commodity is for the gov to have unlimited funds, which it doesn't have. & no, you didn't read the entire bill, b/c you did cite pages.
@irusin2000 The death panel is called Federal Coordinating Council for Comparative Effectiveness Research from the Stimulus Package. Its purpose is to determine who gets care and what kind of care that they will get. That always happens when gov takes over an industry that provides products. Gov has to ration how products are to be distributed, b/c it doesn't have unlimited funds to deal w/limitless demand. Gov doesn't understand the local & individual needs as it has no means to do so. cont...
@irusin2000 That happens in any economic activity that gov governs over. The item is rationed by limited funds on the basis of bureaucratic determination and not on the basis of consumer satisfaction. Costs go up w/o anything holding in check, b/c gov just gets its funds from the tax payer and there is no concern to manage it. & no, you didn't read the entire bill. You didn't cite any sources for your claims, but just gave me Left-wing talking points. cont...
@irusin2000 In fact costs go up w/o anything to stop it and eventually the costs overwhelm the gov program which leads to bankruptcy and failure. That already has happened in 4 states(ME, TN, HI & MA). Canada, UK and Germany were experiencing similar problems so they have been privatizing. That is the problem with gov programs: The money runs out and eventually no one is served.
Yes, costs go up, but if you continue not to collect adequate revenue, you will never maintain that cost. As for Canda, Germany, and other countries, you are incorrect. As a matter of fact, in Germany, private health insurance is illegal. The only private insurance can operate as an "addition" - if you want 5 doctors next to you every day or you want to blow up your breast size - other than that, no insurance is allow to charge for basic and necessary care.
@irusin2000 Actually private care in Germany now is legal, but not accessable for most of the pop as it is on a separate tier. Canada has the same thing in its provinces. Costs always skyrocket when gov gets involved, b/c there is nothing to keep them down as the services are "free"(meaning you don't directly pay for them), and are coverred by the tax-payers ultimately. & I referred to private health care, not private ins specifically. Frankly there are no more funds, so too bad....
@boarderx113 Prices for oil aren't determined at the stock market, but by consumer demand and by supply of oil. When gov controls the prices, it leads to shortages and rationing, b/c either the consumers want them too much at a price below market levels and suppliers won't provide them at that too low of a level. Gov price fixing leads to shortages. We already saw that in the 1970's with oil. What finally ended it was Pres Carter deciding to end the price fixing.
Lol yeah because the governmentless tribes of Africa have made so much progress. The most progressive nations in the world with highest standards of living and highest "people happiness" are socialist and communist countries like that of Cuba, and that of sweeden and Denmark. Seriously, the American political and social policy fails, it encourages wasted resources and inexcusable immorality to profit the few at the expense of the many just look at who caused the global reccesion.
@boarderx113 Cuba, 1 of highest standards of living? LOL! It's one of the poorest nations on the planet. Denmark & Sweden are privatizing their services, b/c there is no more money. What caused the global recession wasn't the pursuit of profit. It was government policy of forcing banks to provide loans to people who couldn't afford to repay them. That was per the Community Reinvestment Act of 1979, amendments in 1989, 1995 & 2005 & the Housing & Community Development Act of 1992. cont...
The global financial crisis was brought around by banks lending to everyone because they were making alot of money betting on and selling that debt on the stock market, unfourtunately they made some bad bets and lost alot of their own money. Again you are a clueless cunt. No there is nothing immoral about the persuit of profit, but at the expense of the people of the world as in the case of the US bankers it is immoral.
@boarderx113 Banks were coerced by FannieMae & FreddieMac which was pressured by HUD to provide the bad loans to people who couldn't afford to repay. them. Groups like NACA & ACORN coerced $1 trillion from banks in out-of-court setttlements and FF took control of 1/2 the loans from banks under pressure from HUD. The loans were bundled and then sold to Wall str, which was suckered into buying them. The gov was the big culprit in the whole thing, by attempting to provide housing to low-income ppl.
@boarderx113 & BTW, there is NOTHING immoral about the pursuit of profit. That is how expenses are kept to a min and quality to a max. Min expenses means min waste of resources. Gov wastes resources & doesn't care. Private cos waste, but try to min to keep expenses min. They then try to have max sales through max quality to get max customers for max profit. Maximization of profit leads to wealth being created; Gov running things leads to poverty, despair, bankruptcy & failure.
Corporate companies do not keep waste to a minimum, how on earth do you figure that considering their main goal is profit and getting everyone to buy their shit regardless, just look at the iphone and ipad, they bring out a new version every year, you cannot upgrade your phone without throwing away the old unit, if they were waste concious there would be ways to upgrade without wasting the first unit, private companies waste global resources, public companies don't.
@boarderx113 Uh, private businesses seek to max profit. That is partly done by keeping expenses to a min, which REQUIRES that waste is kept to a min. Duh-uh. Iphone & i pad, yes. New innovations brought about by competition for the max of profit. Gee, how awful! Yeah we should go along w/the failures of the Trabant, Yugo, & now Chevy Volt(a dud in sales & quality according to Consumer Reports.). Public agencies don't waste?! LOL! There is massive waste in gov agencies as they don't care.
Lol, competition causes waste you numb nut, why does it make sense to have 3 companies producing the same type of good than one company making the good benefiting from more economy of scale and passing on this saving to the consumer, not to mention that there will be less money wasted on research and develop of three products that do the same thing instead only a third of that in producing the one good.
@boarderx113 "competition causes waste you numb nut" That is 1 of the dumbest things that I heard in a long time. Competition further pushes towards max profit which means min cost & min waste. More competition = more people seeking max quality, meaning min waste. That also means constant innovation & improvement. I don't want just three. I want 10, maybe 20, heck, let's have 100 or even 1000! THe more competition, the better w/more quality & min cost!
Lol, so if competition keeps costs down and in theory keeps prices low then why does the price of oil keep rising exponentially and no oil company undercuts a competitor. If private companies are so great why is it that private companies have caused such a shitstorm. And yeah you say read Thomas Sowell, I study economics, I understand all the concepts you are talking about. The thing is it's theoretical not realistic. That's the difference.
@boarderx113 The price of oil keeps rising, b/c 1)demand is increasing. 2)Supply is NOT increasing, b/c Lefties won't let us drill on land or in shallow water. Increase demand + decrease or no increase in supply leads to increase in price. Private cos didn't cause the crisis. Gov did. The biggest culprit really is the Fed that ensures that banks don't manage interest rates as they keep them too low, so banks have to provide bad loans at lower rates thanks to the Fed.
Lol supply is not increasing? Supply is increasing more rapidly than demand, we already produce more barrels a day than we can use.. I suppose you believe the rich should be the lowest taxed aswell.
@boarderx113 & Where is supply increasing in USA for oil? Not on land. Drilling is not allowed. Not in the ocean. There is a moratorium. Supply has been decreasing thanks to the moratorium. Oh,but wait!Obama has decided that Brazil can sell its oil to us, rather us drill for our own oil. What a guy! We can be a customer to foreigners rather than our own oil companies producing wealth and creating jobs! Here's an idea: US oil companies can go abroad & create wealth there instead & we get screwed!
@boarderx113 We don't have a private market in oil. Gov ensures that drilling isn't done w/ restrictions on drilling & 100s of pages of regulations ensuring that. We don't have private market of health care. People can't purchase beyond state lines and there is massive bureucracy manipulating the private sector while 1/2 of health care is run by gov. Gov NEVER decreased costs on ANYTHING. Private markets have brought costs down in numerous areas: steel, Al, paper, tea, coffee, sugar, etc.
Oh and more than 60% of oil purchased is bought by private investors who do not use it but take it off the market and wait for the price to increase then sell it. Yeah privatisation is the best thing to happen to the oil industry. Your economics and logic are flawed. Good day.
@boarderx113 More than 90% of the world's oil markets are gov-owned, not privately owned. The private investors delilberately take it off the market temporarily so that they have to incur more costs and then can be out-maneuvered by competitors at lower costs. That is utterly ridiculous. You really don't what you are talking about on economics AT LL. That nonsense of 60% of oil investors just wait & watch the price go up has no basis in fact at all.
@Aegius correction..." You really don't what you are talking about on economics AT ALL. That nonsense of 60% of oil investors just wait & watch the price go up has no basis in fact at all. "
Lol, yes it does, look it up. You can buy oil on the stock market. Thats why they are always reporting the price of a barrel of oil on the news. Because you can physically go out and purchase it and it has a market price, if it were government controlled it would have a fixed price not one that fluxuates with market demand because according to you the government is wasteful and has no interest in profit.
@boarderx113 Of course you praised the standard of living of Cuba as being better than ours, when it is 1 of the poorest countries on the planet! Even Castro has called socialism a failure! You're a real crack-up! Go read a book. I suggest starting w/Thomas Sowell!
The financial industry is solely to blame for the crisis. And yeah of course the government played a part but only because it is bankrolled by the financial industry and as such has full control over the government. So in actual fact lets have a society where there is no government, which I'm not opposed to, but I'm not in a favour of private companies that regulate themselves having any power either.
@boarderx113 The gov subsidised banks and that ensured that they didn't have direct management of their expenses. That much I'll grant. You're now being an anarchist. Okay, let's have murderrers, rapists, thieves, etc run rampant. Good idea. Oh and contracts can't be guaranteed either. Yeah, good idea.
What an idiot. We didn't have these probs w/banks b4 the FED. Just get rid of that and let banks be responsible for themselves rather than taxpayers responsible for them via gov.
Lol, you don't need a government to stop murderers and rapists. I wouldn't murder someone even if there was no police, people who want to murder do it anyway.
@ZoomieMSgt hey don't soil my name by insinuating that every liberal is gay,thats just conceited and ignorant, and whats wrong with being homosexual anyways?
@assaultrecon28 or if you would let go of your religious biases and realize that gay people are humans too, therefore they deserve the right to marriage, your argument that it goes against god and the bible is unconstitutional and is therefore null and void... also, did you do everything that your parents told you to do when you were growing up? becauses chances are you didn't follow all there orders, therefore your parents is to you as god is to christians...see what I mean?
@calanio455 Marriage was meant to be between a man and a women and it says so more than once in the bible, it is a religious ceremony for a man and a women to share a bond. Why do gay people care about getting married if they do not care about the significance of it or what its supposed to be?
@assaultrecon28 yes I'm not that dumb, I do seem to recall though that marriage is not just a christian sacrament (not really a sacrament unless you're catholic), it is also practiced throughout the world, and with your logic then athiests should not be able to get married. If gay people were to get married they would most likely do it at a city hall or at a more tolerant church
@calanio455 the "churches" that perform gay marriage are not really churches in my book, because by marrying gays they are going against the very book they preach. I do not hate gays or consider them "not human". One of my close reletives is a lesbian and she does not support gay marriage. I'll admit my arguement could be considered unconstitutional, but the gov. takes away our rights all the time so it doesnt really matter
@calanio455 The point of marriage is really about providing the next generation of society to be raised with both a mother AND father, not just a mother & or a father. It dates back to pre-civilization. That's why every society in history has ALWAYS had marriage as male:female only even if they tolerated homosexuality. Gays don't need to "marry" each other anyway as the marriage is really for kids, not adults, to provide a home to raise them in. It's about the next generation, not the current.
@calanio455 There is no right to marriage. Marriage is a privilege as consent is required and certain parameters are justifiably limiting that institution. We don't allow sibling marriage, polygamy, marrying one's parents or one's offspring either. Gays are people, but this is about the needs of society primarily, not their wants. Society needs new generations and the new generations need both moms & dads, not just moms or dads(including kids who become gays). Gays don't need marriage. Kids do.
Kids don't become gay because their parents are. And I guess in your opinion kids who only have a mom or a dad ie single parents will be fuckups aswell. You're an idiot. And people aren't going to die out just because we let gays marry, people are gay anyway letting them marry doesn't increase the amount of gay people who aren't reprodcuing, and not being married doesn't stop them from having kids either, your logic fails.
@boarderx113 I didn't say ONLY a mom & dad. I said that a mom & dad should be the ideal. Gays are allowed to marry, but not of the same sex. Why do same-sex couples need to get married anyway? Marriage was set up for the sake of bearing & raising kids, not for the interests of couples. That's why in most of history marriages were prearranged. The needs of society & of kids trumps the wants of adults and for gay couples, this is just a want, not a need or a right.
first of all you don't have to be married to have kids, so really marriage is a pointless institution if thats all you think it is for. You can raise a family without being married. Population decline is what we need in a world where we are running out of resources so I don't see how that could be an issue. Oh an contrary to your idea that this is due to a reduction in marriage, the countries which don't have "marriage" like Africa their populations are increasing.
@boarderx113 "You can raise a family without being married." Okay, so let's get rid of the institution of marriage then? That's what the communists in Russia originally wanted. Population decline is causing great concern, b/c it is leading to economic decline as well. We aren't running out of resources, but we are running out of the means for producing them: labor. African nations haven't adopted same-sex marriage except S Africa. Nice try. European nations did; marriage has died.
Marriage in noway affects someones desire to have children and you don't have to be married in order to have children. So your points are invalid. Cuba has the higher life expectancy than the US so get a fucking clue. And No Sweeden and Denmark are not privatising the industry which is currently publically owned. They are not communist countries they are socialists ie the neccesities for life are provided, and their education and health standards far exceed the US. Your a clueless cunt
@boarderx113 Actually Cuba has a lower life expectancy if you account for its higher infant mortality rate per higher miscarriage rate. Sweden & Denmark are privatising & cutting services. Cuba is also cutting services. Education is US is gov-run & owned. Bad example. The prob is that we don't have a voucher system as they do in Sweden. If marriage has nothing to do w/children, okay, let's get rid of it then. Let's just cohabit. That's what they do in Europe now after all that marriage is dead.
@boarderx113 "Marriage in noway affects someones desire to have children." Not true. Marriage has precisely linked to bearing children until very recent times. "you don't have to be married in order to have children". & that means being irresponsible as you are making no commitment toward taking care of the kids as a married couple. Yes, the Left loves promoting irresponsibility, so the state can manage things and people. & then the gov runs out of money & everything collapses. Oh well.
@boarderx113 Oh, & in countries where same-sex marriage now is allowed, marriage rates have plummetted while cohabitation rates have skyrocketed. THat's what happens when the bearing & raising of kids is removed as the main reason for marriage: it becomes a pointless institution. Why bother. Gays don't need this. Kids & society do. Oh, & the pops of those countries are in dramatic decline. Your logic fails reality.
@boarderx113 "kids who only have a mom or a dad ie single parents will be fuckups aswell." In fact kids in single parent homes are far more likely to engage in drug abuse &/or alcoholism, drop out from school, commit suicide, or engage in a life of crime. So they are more likely to become "fuckups". Do your research and don't be an idiot by making baseless accusations when you don't know what you are talking about. Oh, & please don't have kids. They need better parents than a person like u.
Look at the socio economic group of single parents not the fact their is a single parent. Single parents occur in lower socio eco groups where these attributes are more likely to occur, therefore this arguement is invalid.
@boarderx113 Compare single parents in low income vs 2-parent in low income and my point stands. Go read a book and learn something. Here are a few: "New Deal, Raw Deal", by Burton Folsom, Jr. "Basic Economics", by Thomas Sowell. "Applied Economics: Thinking Past Stage 1", by Thomas Sowell.
as i say to all conservatives on youtube. Keep being brainwashed. And keep perpetuating the closed-minded mentality that you right wingers know all so well
Olbermann has a urogenic bladder. he has to wear diapers. every time he gets to foaming up about Bush he is actually pissing himself. The self-loathing American hating left are his students.
Really, the American people want this? You mean the minority that are the republicans, around 30 percent now, who won't shut their faces, and whose only interest is in stopping Obama from doing anything so they can elect Republicans in 2012.
@MrGettothechoppa tell me is obama so great to you because has he given you a stimulas package. he really hasn't given any of us one. im thinking not, i think that you live off the government, and dont want that to change.
Bush took office with 4.2 unemployment;Left with 6.1. Arrived with a 281billion dollar budget surplus, (FROM CLINTON) Left with a 357 billion dollar deficit and the wars that killed over 4000 Americans and god knows how many others, were not even in the budget!!!The National deit went from 5.7 trillon when Clinton left office to 9.7 when Bush left. The Stock market crashed , as did the housing market (all the deregulation from W & Cheny,and lets not forget Tom Delay!!!!
Our President lays a large portion of the blame on doctors. Specifically their bad handwriting, which leads to incorrect or unnecessary treatment, and extra medical costs. This probably accounts for close to 50% of all superfluous medical costs.
everybody, please wake up, it doesn't matter what "party" is sitting in the whitehouse.
try this : put the gold standard back in place as described in the constitution (at the same time disban the federal reserve) then eliminate the IRS and replace it with a (cannot be raised) federal sales tax of two and a half percent.
with EVERYONE in this country contributing taxes, suddenly we will find ourselves able to afford new job openings (and we should heavly fine anyone outsourceing jobs)
@barker89048a Good idea, then with more stupid laws instead of removing the ones causing them to outsource to china, they can make more stupid laws and remove jobs here entirely! Fucking brilliant.
DON,T FORGET , THE GUV,MINT TOOK OVER THE MUSTANG RANCH NEAR LAS VEGAS, ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR WHORE HOUSES IN THE COUNTRY, AND IT WENT BANKRUPT. THEY CAN,T EVEN RUN A CAT HOUSE
I think the best way to make change is from the bottom up. Vote in every local and state election. Don't just wait every four years to vote. Whether you're conservative or liberal, Democrat or Republican, educate yourself on the issues and candidates, and vote! Nice dancing, Zo and Steve!
look at the post office,social security and now healthcare..welfare is ridiculously out of hand also..anything the government touches or creates turns to S#!t!!we need to take America back people!the congress works for us not the other way around like they're trying to do now!
Can anyone explain to me why end of life counseling was ok in 2003 when it received approval from 204 GOP House members and 42 GOP Senators? The only difference between the 2003 provision and Section 1233 is that Section 1233 would expand funding so that people could voluntarily receive counseling before they become terminally ill. This "victory" is completely meaningless in that it only shows just how gullible and freakishly stupid the American public is.
Actually, the end of life consultations were not dropped, morons. As for the public option, he never really picked that one up. None of you clueless stooges on the video or posting can discribe how it is a death panel. Crowder and Zo are friends with benefits.
What they passed wasn't a public option. Instead it is a law designed to force insurance companies to raise their rates and/or go out of business. Then the people have nowhere to go but the government for healthcare. Its going to get shot down in the courts though. Constitutionally speaking, the government cannot force an individual to purchase a product just because they are alive.
@rglover1982 I agree, i'm for the health care bill and advocate the public option. However, I don't like the mandate at all. They should just require you to have some sort of coverage in order to get any type of care, including ER. Give people a choice and a consequence to go with it.
What this means is that as a people we still are worthy of freedom. We showed that we were willing to resist the improper advances of an intrusive government. Somewhere, the founding fathers are smiling...
dont comme to Canada bud I posted your face and all the lies about our coutry and they are pissed.Dont piss of Canadiens they did not call us crazy canucs in war for nothing . you punk

So tell me how this will be different with socialized medicine?
Why do I picture the long lines of Communist Soviet Union where people waited forever to get shoes, and then it was a toss up whether they wear them or eat them? Is this the change I was promised? Is this our bright future?

Nope, the basic and necessary care in Germany is covered by taxes that people pay. Private insurance industry cannot charge a frank for a basic, necessary care, not to mention that majority of people generally do not buy additional private coverage - no need to. Only those who want some "royal treatment" do.
irusin2000 8 months ago
@irusin2000 What exactly is "basic, necessary care?" Neither gov nor ins cos pay for aspirin and I have gotten headaches many times. Colds & flu? Again I just go to the drug store and get such medicine. So what defines "basic, necessary care?"
Germany & UK and elsewhere have been cutting back on services as the funds aren't there. The state of MA is rationing w/a mean waiting time of 36 days for an appointment. Welcome to gov-run health care: rationing, then bankruptcy & failure.
Aegius 8 months ago
@irusin2000 Canada has a great health care system. You can go to a walk-in clinic for something minor, cut, bronchitis, breathing treatment. You can have your own doctor, even hospitalization is free. Some have private insurance through their jobs and they pay for all prescriptions, acupuncture, massage therapy, etc., If you don't have a job social assistance will pay for your prescriptions. I made an error of course we pay through our taxes. When you reach old age the gov pays for all.

dadgame8 6 months ago
@dadgame8 What country are you talking about? The US or Canada. I lived in the US for 7 yrs and the health care system there is terrible. You have to have top notch insurance to see a dr or get into the hospital. It is getting worse. Drug companies pay out more money into advertising than they do research. Cancer research is a farce as far as I am concerned. If money was a cure for cancer they wd have found it yrs ago. They have billions of $'s. Pretty sad ppl are made to suffer.
empressofthefrench 6 months ago
@empressofthefrench Actually drug companies pay far more money to go through all the hoops that hte FDA puts in front of them. As for cancer the USA has the highest rate of survival of cancer in the world and no, you don't need top notch ins to see a doctor or go to a hospital. I actually do work in the health care industry.
The real prob is too much gov. Cut back on FDA regulations so that more drugs can go on the market not just 1:15000.
Aegius 6 months ago
@Aegius Well that is good to hear about the cancer survival. No I meant all health care is free in Canada. If your job gives you extra health care benefits, say for acupuncture, massage therapy, orthotics, walkers, scooters, then that is paid for through your extended coverage. Our government does not pay for the above. I shd say the gov pays for walkers, scooters,etc., if you are on disability or 65 and over. I work in the health care industry also.
empressofthefrench 6 months ago
@empressofthefrench ...2 The FDA passed a drug in the US called Savella, formerly known as Milnacipran, which is used widely in Europe, England and China. It was supposed to be available in Canada last year but we are still waiting for it to come on the market. It is now available without a prescription, which is unusual bcs it is an antidepressant used for pain such as fibromyalgia. I just wish they wd hurry up with it. To buy through a Cnd pharmacy the drug comes from the US, Turkey,etc.

@AndiEmme1 you may also remind him to look at the votes when rights were given to the blacks.. Almost split down party lines.

The only costs that are reimbursed are determined by distant bureaucrats who have no understanding of the needs & wants of people, nor really care. cont....
Aegius 1 year ago
This has been flagged as spam show
@irusin2000 The death panel is a government agency called the Federal Coordinating Council for Comparative Effectiveness Research who will get care & how that care will be provided for.
Aegius 1 year ago
@irusin2000 The death panel is called Federal Coordinating Council for Comparative Effectiveness Research from the Stimulus Package. Its purpose is to determine who gets care and what kind of care that they will get. That always happens when gov takes over an industry that provides products. Gov has to ration how products are to be distributed, b/c it doesn't have unlimited funds to deal w/limitless demand. Gov doesn't understand the local & individual needs as it has no means to do so. cont...
Aegius 1 year ago
@irusin2000 That happens in any economic activity that gov governs over. The item is rationed by limited funds on the basis of bureaucratic determination and not on the basis of consumer satisfaction. Costs go up w/o anything holding in check, b/c gov just gets its funds from the tax payer and there is no concern to manage it. & no, you didn't read the entire bill. You didn't cite any sources for your claims, but just gave me Left-wing talking points. cont...
Aegius 1 year ago
@irusin2000 In fact costs go up w/o anything to stop it and eventually the costs overwhelm the gov program which leads to bankruptcy and failure. That already has happened in 4 states(ME, TN, HI & MA). Canada, UK and Germany were experiencing similar problems so they have been privatizing. That is the problem with gov programs: The money runs out and eventually no one is served.
Aegius 1 year ago
@Aegius
Yes, costs go up, but if you continue not to collect adequate revenue, you will never maintain that cost. As for Canda, Germany, and other countries, you are incorrect. As a matter of fact, in Germany, private health insurance is illegal. The only private insurance can operate as an "addition" - if you want 5 doctors next to you every day or you want to blow up your breast size - other than that, no insurance is allow to charge for basic and necessary care.
irusin2000 8 months ago
@irusin2000 Actually private care in Germany now is legal, but not accessable for most of the pop as it is on a separate tier. Canada has the same thing in its provinces. Costs always skyrocket when gov gets involved, b/c there is nothing to keep them down as the services are "free"(meaning you don't directly pay for them), and are coverred by the tax-payers ultimately. & I referred to private health care, not private ins specifically. Frankly there are no more funds, so too bad....
Aegius 8 months ago
@boarderx113 Prices for oil aren't determined at the stock market, but by consumer demand and by supply of oil. When gov controls the prices, it leads to shortages and rationing, b/c either the consumers want them too much at a price below market levels and suppliers won't provide them at that too low of a level. Gov price fixing leads to shortages. We already saw that in the 1970's with oil. What finally ended it was Pres Carter deciding to end the price fixing.

The most progressive nations in the world with highest standards of living and highest "people happiness" are socialist and communist countries like that of Cuba, and that of sweeden and Denmark. boarderx113 10 months ago
That was per the Community Reinvestment Act of 1979, amendments in 1989, 1995 & 2005 & the Housing & Community Development Act of 1992. cont...
Aegius 10 months ago
@Aegius
The global financial crisis was brought around by banks lending to everyone because they were making alot of money betting on and selling that debt on the stock market, unfourtunately they made some bad bets and lost alot of their own money. Again you are a clueless cunt. No there is nothing immoral about the persuit of profit, but at the expense of the people of the world as in the case of the US bankers it is immoral.
boarderx113 10 months ago
@boarderx113 Banks were coerced by FannieMae & FreddieMac which was pressured by HUD to provide the bad loans to people who couldn't afford to repay. them. Groups like NACA & ACORN coerced $1 trillion from banks in out-of-court setttlements and FF took control of 1/2 the loans from banks under pressure from HUD. The loans were bundled and then sold to Wall str, which was suckered into buying them. The gov was the big culprit in the whole thing, by attempting to provide housing to low-income ppl.
Aegius 10 months ago
@boarderx113 & BTW, there is NOTHING immoral about the pursuit of profit. That is how expenses are kept to a min and quality to a max. Min expenses means min waste of resources. Gov wastes resources & doesn't care. Private cos waste, but try to min to keep expenses min. They then try to have max sales through max quality to get max customers for max profit. Maximization of profit leads to wealth being created; Gov running things leads to poverty, despair, bankruptcy & failure.
Aegius 10 months ago
@Aegius
Corporate companies do not keep waste to a minimum, how on earth do you figure that considering their main goal is profit and getting everyone to buy their shit regardless, just look at the iphone and ipad, they bring out a new version every year, you cannot upgrade your phone without throwing away the old unit, if they were waste concious there would be ways to upgrade without wasting the first unit, private companies waste global resources, public companies don't.
boarderx113 10 months ago
@boarderx113 Uh, private businesses seek to max profit. That is partly done by keeping expenses to a min, which REQUIRES that waste is kept to a min. Duh-uh. Iphone & i pad, yes. New innovations brought about by competition for the max of profit. Gee, how awful! Yeah we should go along w/the failures of the Trabant, Yugo, & now Chevy Volt(a dud in sales & quality according to Consumer Reports.). Public agencies don't waste?! LOL! There is massive waste in gov agencies as they don't care.
Aegius 10 months ago
@Aegius
Lol, competition causes waste you numb nut, why does it make sense to have 3 companies producing the same type of good than one company making the good benefiting from more economy of scale and passing on this saving to the consumer, not to mention that there will be less money wasted on research and develop of three products that do the same thing instead only a third of that in producing the one good.
boarderx113 10 months ago
@boarderx113 "competition causes waste you numb nut" That is 1 of the dumbest things that I heard in a long time. Competition further pushes towards max profit which means min cost & min waste. More competition = more people seeking max quality, meaning min waste. That also means constant innovation & improvement. I don't want just three. I want 10, maybe 20, heck, let's have 100 or even 1000! THe more competition, the better w/more quality & min cost!
Aegius 10 months ago
@Aegius
That's the difference.
boarderx113 10 months ago
@boarderx113 The price of oil keeps rising, b/c 1)demand is increasing. 2)Supply is NOT increasing, b/c Lefties won't let us drill on land or in shallow water. Increase demand + decrease or no increase in supply leads to increase in price. Private cos didn't cause the crisis. Gov did. The biggest culprit really is the Fed that ensures that banks don't manage interest rates as they keep them too low, so banks have to provide bad loans at lower rates thanks to the Fed.
Aegius 10 months ago
@Aegius
Lol supply is not increasing? Supply is increasing more rapidly than demand, we already produce more barrels a day than we can use.. I suppose you believe the rich should be the lowest taxed aswell.
boarderx113 10 months ago
@boarderx113 & Where is supply increasing in USA for oil? Not on land. Drilling is not allowed. Not in the ocean. There is a moratorium. Supply has been decreasing thanks to the moratorium. Oh,but wait!Obama has decided that Brazil can sell its oil to us, rather us drill for our own oil. What a guy! We can be a customer to foreigners rather than our own oil companies producing wealth and creating jobs! Here's an idea: US oil companies can go abroad & create wealth there instead & we get screwed!
Aegius 10 months ago
@boarderx113 We don't have a private market in oil. Gov ensures that drilling isn't done w/ restrictions on drilling & 100s of pages of regulations ensuring that. We don't have private market of health care. People can't purchase beyond state lines and there is massive bureucracy manipulating the private sector while 1/2 of health care is run by gov. Gov NEVER decreased costs on ANYTHING. Private markets have brought costs down in numerous areas: steel, Al, paper, tea, coffee, sugar, etc.
Aegius 10 months ago
@Aegius
Oh and more than 60% of oil purchased is bought by private investors who do not use it but take it off the market and wait for the price to increase then sell it. Yeah privatisation is the best thing to happen to the oil industry. Your economics and logic are flawed. Good day.
boarderx113 10 months ago
@boarderx113 More than 90% of the world's oil markets are gov-owned, not privately owned. The private investors delilberately take it off the market temporarily so that they have to incur more costs and then can be out-maneuvered by competitors at lower costs. That is utterly ridiculous. You really don't what you are talking about on economics AT LL. That nonsense of 60% of oil investors just wait & watch the price go up has no basis in fact at all.
Aegius 10 months ago
@Aegius correction..." You really don't what you are talking about on economics AT ALL. That nonsense of 60% of oil investors just wait & watch the price go up has no basis in fact at all. "
Aegius 10 months ago
@Aegius
Lol, yes it does, look it up. You can buy oil on the stock market. Thats why they are always reporting the price of a barrel of oil on the news. Because you can physically go out and purchase it and it has a market price, if it were government controlled it would have a fixed price not one that fluxuates with market demand because according to you the government is wasteful and has no interest in profit.
boarderx113 10 months ago
@boarderx113 Of course you praised the standard of living of Cuba as being better than ours, when it is 1 of the poorest countries on the planet! Even Castro has called socialism a failure! You're a real crack-up! Go read a book. I suggest starting w/Thomas Sowell!
Aegius 10 months ago
@Aegius
The financial industry is solely to blame for the crisis. And yeah of course the government played a part but only because it is bankrolled by the financial industry and as such has full control over the government. So in actual fact lets have a society where there is no government, which I'm not opposed to, but I'm not in a favour of private companies that regulate themselves having any power either.
boarderx113 10 months ago
@boarderx113 The gov subsidised banks and that ensured that they didn't have direct management of their expenses. That much I'll grant. You're now being an anarchist. Okay, let's have murderrers, rapists, thieves, etc run rampant. Good idea. Oh and contracts can't be guaranteed either. Yeah, good idea.
What an idiot. We didn't have these probs w/banks b4 the FED. Just get rid of that and let banks be responsible for themselves rather than taxpayers responsible for them via gov.

@assaultrecon28 or if you would let go of your religious biases and realize that gay people are humans too, therefore they deserve the right to marriage, your argument that it goes against god and the bible is unconstitutional and is therefore null and void... also, did you do everything that your parents told you to do when you were growing up? becauses chances are you didn't follow all there orders, therefore your parents is to you as god is to christians...see what I mean?
calanio455 1 year ago
@calanio455 Marriage was meant to be between a man and a women and it says so more than once in the bible, it is a religious ceremony for a man and a women to share a bond. Why do gay people care about getting married if they do not care about the significance of it or what its supposed to be?
assaultrecon28 1 year ago
@assaultrecon28 A voice of reason.
ZM7241994 1 year ago
@assaultrecon28 yes I'm not that dumb, I do seem to recall though that marriage is not just a christian sacrament (not really a sacrament unless you're catholic), it is also practiced throughout the world, and with your logic then athiests should not be able to get married. If gay people were to get married they would most likely do it at a city hall or at a more tolerant church
calanio455 1 year ago
@calanio455 the "churches" that perform gay marriage are not really churches in my book, because by marrying gays they are going against the very book they preach. I do not hate gays or consider them "not human". One of my close reletives is a lesbian and she does not support gay marriage. I'll admit my arguement could be considered unconstitutional, but the gov. takes away our rights all the time so it doesnt really matter
assaultrecon28 1 year ago
@calanio455 The point of marriage is really about providing the next generation of society to be raised with both a mother AND father, not just a mother & or a father. It dates back to pre-civilization. That's why every society in history has ALWAYS had marriage as male:female only even if they tolerated homosexuality. Gays don't need to "marry" each other anyway as the marriage is really for kids, not adults, to provide a home to raise them in. It's about the next generation, not the current.
Aegius 1 year ago
@calanio455 There is no right to marriage. Marriage is a privilege as consent is required and certain parameters are justifiably limiting that institution. We don't allow sibling marriage, polygamy, marrying one's parents or one's offspring either. Gays are people, but this is about the needs of society primarily, not their wants. Society needs new generations and the new generations need both moms & dads, not just moms or dads(including kids who become gays). Gays don't need marriage. Kids do.
Aegius 1 year ago
@Aegius way to defuse that bomb...I conced
calanio455 1 year ago
@Aegius
Kids don't become gay because their parents are. And I guess in your opinion kids who only have a mom or a dad ie single parents will be fuckups aswell. You're an idiot. And people aren't going to die out just because we let gays marry, people are gay anyway letting them marry doesn't increase the amount of gay people who aren't reprodcuing, and not being married doesn't stop them from having kids either, your logic fails.
boarderx113 10 months ago
@boarderx113 I didn't say ONLY a mom & dad. I said that a mom & dad should be the ideal. Gays are allowed to marry, but not of the same sex. Why do same-sex couples need to get married anyway? Marriage was set up for the sake of bearing & raising kids, not for the interests of couples. That's why in most of history marriages were prearranged. The needs of society & of kids trumps the wants of adults and for gay couples, this is just a want, not a need or a right.
Aegius 10 months ago
@Aegius
first of all you don't have to be married to have kids, so really marriage is a pointless institution if thats all you think it is for. You can raise a family without being married. Population decline is what we need in a world where we are running out of resources so I don't see how that could be an issue. Oh an contrary to your idea that this is due to a reduction in marriage, the countries which don't have "marriage" like Africa their populations are increasing.
boarderx113 10 months ago
@boarderx113 "You can raise a family without being married." Okay, so let's get rid of the institution of marriage then? That's what the communists in Russia originally wanted. Population decline is causing great concern, b/c it is leading to economic decline as well. We aren't running out of resources, but we are running out of the means for producing them: labor. African nations haven't adopted same-sex marriage except S Africa. Nice try. European nations did; marriage has died.
Aegius 10 months ago
@Aegius
Your a clueless cunt
boarderx113 10 months ago
@boarderx113 Actually Cuba has a lower life expectancy if you account for its higher infant mortality rate per higher miscarriage rate. Sweden & Denmark are privatising & cutting services. Cuba is also cutting services. Education is US is gov-run & owned. Bad example. The prob is that we don't have a voucher system as they do in Sweden. If marriage has nothing to do w/children, okay, let's get rid of it then. Let's just cohabit. That's what they do in Europe now after all that marriage is dead.
Aegius 10 months ago
@boarderx113 "Marriage in noway affects someones desire to have children." Not true. Marriage has precisely linked to bearing children until very recent times. "you don't have to be married in order to have children". & that means being irresponsible as you are making no commitment toward taking care of the kids as a married couple. Yes, the Left loves promoting irresponsibility, so the state can manage things and people. & then the gov runs out of money & everything collapses. Oh well.
Aegius 10 months ago
@boarderx113 Oh, & in countries where same-sex marriage now is allowed, marriage rates have plummetted while cohabitation rates have skyrocketed. THat's what happens when the bearing & raising of kids is removed as the main reason for marriage: it becomes a pointless institution. Why bother. Gays don't need this. Kids & society do. Oh, & the pops of those countries are in dramatic decline. Your logic fails reality.
Aegius 10 months ago
@boarderx113 "kids who only have a mom or a dad ie single parents will be fuckups aswell." In fact kids in single parent homes are far more likely to engage in drug abuse &/or alcoholism, drop out from school, commit suicide, or engage in a life of crime. So they are more likely to become "fuckups". Do your research and don't be an idiot by making baseless accusations when you don't know what you are talking about. Oh, & please don't have kids. They need better parents than a person like u.
Aegius 10 months ago
@Aegius
Look at the socio economic group of single parents not the fact their is a single parent. Single parents occur in lower socio eco groups where these attributes are more likely to occur, therefore this arguement is invalid.
boarderx113 10 months ago
@boarderx113 Compare single parents in low income vs 2-parent in low income and my point stands. Go read a book and learn something. Here are a few: "New Deal, Raw Deal", by Burton Folsom, Jr. "Basic Economics", by Thomas Sowell. "Applied Economics: Thinking Past Stage 1", by Thomas Sowell.

Our President lays a large portion of the blame on doctors. Specifically their bad handwriting, which leads to incorrect or unnecessary treatment, and extra medical costs. This probably accounts for close to 50% of all superfluous medical costs.

everybody, please wake up, it doesn't matter what "party" is sitting in the whitehouse.
try this : put the gold standard back in place as described in the constitution (at the same time disban the federal reserve) then eliminate the IRS and replace it with a (cannot be raised) federal sales tax of two and a half percent.
with EVERYONE in this country contributing taxes, suddenly we will find ourselves able to afford new job openings (and we should heavly fine anyone outsourceing jobs)
barker89048a 1 year ago 2
@barker89048a Good idea, then with more stupid laws instead of removing the ones causing them to outsource to china, they can make more stupid laws and remove jobs here entirely! Fucking brilliant.

What they passed wasn't a public option. Instead it is a law designed to force insurance companies to raise their rates and/or go out of business. Then the people have nowhere to go but the government for healthcare. Its going to get shot down in the courts though. Constitutionally speaking, the government cannot force an individual to purchase a product just because they are alive.
rglover1982 1 year ago
@rglover1982 I agree, i'm for the health care bill and advocate the public option. However, I don't like the mandate at all. They should just require you to have some sort of coverage in order to get any type of care, including ER. Give people a choice and a consequence to go with it.
