This aint the L. The L runs from 8 Av-14 St to Canarsie-Rockaway Parkway. In Manhattan. It runs down 14 St from 1 Av to 8 Av.

@koolmazin actually,you can.you can have a 4 car set.for example:5482-5485.then you can have higher order r46 cars,which come in two car sets.For example:6256 and 6258.That still leaves 35 more feet left.

It's an (F) train since the station is 179th St. I guess that the MTA screwed up so bad.

yea it was just like that R46 M train but it was really an F with an incorrect sign there was also an R46 N and Q i wish i wouldve ever caught those trains and someone said that there was an R46 W too now its me or that im seeing that R46 has been on every Broadway line

No such things as R46 (L), (M) and (W) trains, those were bad screw-ups. But there were R46 (Q) trains like I told you.

yea i know i think i saw an R62A 2 train along time ago i dont know if that was a screw up just saw the signs say 2 so i think it was ive seen R46 on the N and Q they should put R46 on all the Brodway lines pretty much

@ks10308 (L) and (M) are too short to handle 75' trains (R46=75 ft.), and I don't think the (W) ever used them.

@ks10308 Platforms are too short, and in some places. Trying to have an 75ft subway car make the turn at Cypress Hills on the BMT Jamaica?

And the W has been axed, replaced by lengthened Q service. However, once the SAS (Second Avenue Subway) rolls into town, there will need to be some form of replacement service.

@mtattrain O yea a horrible screw up! You make it sound like its a horrible thing. Conductors always mess around with the LCD/LED signs when the train is at its terminal.

The R46 is an 8 car train. But thats not why you wont see an R46 on the L.
