Also, you can hear the blades connecting each other, before the final touch, which could mean, that Nemcsik's attempt, to move Montano's blade was successful. There again, the call was wrong.
@Stofesszor PS: Also the video appears to be in sync with audio, the 2nd contact you described did not happen when Nemcsik searched, but noticeable before like almost a full second before. So it was something else. Good ref doesn't assume, he uses his eyes AND ears.
He makes an attempt on his blade true, but still, that was a passe, and you can't make a score with a passe, unless, the opponent trips, or stops his attack. If you watch it again, you can see, that Nemcsik's attack was constant, he did make an attempt on Montano's blade, but he even finished the attack, while Montano makes a passe and makes a counter attack, but there was no window of opportunity for a counter attack. The call was wrong.
@Stofesszor it's not passe if you go for the line, it's derobed. as long as you stay with the arm extended and the point in the field of target you can move and replace it. Even if you think he gives up point by derobing or as you call passe, as soon as Nemcsik searches for the blade he also loses RoW, and whether it's point, counter, remise, it's still Aldo's. And even if you don't think that's what happened, it looked enough like the situation i describe to be given benefit of doubt.
The judge screwed up. Montano makes a passe, and makes a touch, while Nemcsik is constantly making an attack, and finishes his action. The point should have been given to Nemcsik.
@geringasG He makes a passe, and then finishes the line, but he was in a defensive position, and you can't score from a defensive position, unless you take the right to score. Nemcsik had the right from the beginning, and he even finished the attack, while Monatno makes a passe, and "scores". About the bending, if you stab you opponent, or he runs in to your line , the blade wll bend, but that makes no difference, he still made a circle around Nemcsik's blade, and that was a passe.
@Stofesszor ah, I thought you meant that point-in-line was not valid because he connected with side of the blade instead of with the point. I apologize for my misinterpretation.
Now, watch in full speed, full zoom, the moment when the passe occurs. Nemcsik takes a step forward and at the same time he attempts an attack to montano's BLADE and not montano himself. However, montano maintains his threat with that circl. Therefore necmscik is "derobed" tinypic.com/r/91i5h0/7 the call is good

Wrong. This is clearly the correct decision. The line is touche.

@Stofesszor passe? you can see his blade bending in the slow-motion replay and even after the touch it is bent out of shape. don't blink...
