To be fair, the DVDs are actually packed with amazing content, which would make this a wonderful special edition release indeed...were the "case" anything reliable that is. :(

I decided i'd look this up before i RE BOUGHT my boyfriend this dvd because it seemed like a very shitty case. The first one did end up breaking and getting all over the dvds. which obv ruined the discs.

@akissf0rjersey Very poor planning on the part of the publishers, especially given the fact the blood of the cases have all likely dried up by this point. Maybe I just didn't take proper precaution with mine, by you know, putting it on display? Like one is supposed to do with a cool looking case? :D

I like my saw 1 (2 disc edition cover) the cover has a saw that floats around the cover.

@royalnaz1 Hopefully the liquid within the case lasts longer than that within the blood bag. I can imagine the case breaking ASAP with a saw flying around inside it. ;)

@royalnaz1 I can verify this. I noticed about some months ago (had it hanging in an out of sight spot) that the blood has all but evaporated inside the plastic bag/case. A shame really, but at least I got what it was like on camera before that. :P

I hope it is a fun watch for you. It's a film that I wouldn't mind watching again, that is for sure. Don't know why, for I find the torture moments a little much, but I suppose I find gold in the rest of the material. Certainly something alright. :)

The movie is certainly a ride, though I wonder how the manga compared to it all. Was the source more graphic and insane than the chaos on the screen, or was it expanded upon?

And I suppose I can have some satisfaction in owning something hardcore fans really want. And if all else, ebay is a wonderful friend. ;)

actually someone said online an easyier way to get the dvds out is but putting you finger in the sides and move it around u til it feels loose , then slowy take it out and bingo !! and not a scratch on it !! LOL

well, eather A, they used crappy plasic, B, use scalpols,and C,maybe put them in another DVD case of sorts

I choose Cwhen I got them out, and the DVDs are in nice and safe cases right now. The bag now acts as a doorknob hang. No ones really mentioned it yet, so maybe it's normal to see a blood bag in ones home. :P

Ichi is good in the sense that it's utterly bizarre. It has its moments, though it's NOT for everyone, that is for sure.

@a1ez11 with time, you are aware of the text while watching in most of the cases, except its a japanese word translating into fucking 10 sentences while describing how their alldaystuff works and what that great shops name is and that the shop is real and the director really recommends to buy pants in it ;D then its nearly as distracting as some fucked up dub. but lets be fair, just sometimes you find a series with a more suitable voice. like, finding a politician you like to listen to .

There was a mask to buy with the DVD? I think I got the small end of the stick in terms of cool Nacho collectables. Still, it would be my luck the mask didn't fit me, so maybe it's not so bad. :)

The mask was made out of stretchy material. Hey I got a big head and it fits just right. LOL
