  • They did actually take assets from the original Genesis game, recoloured it to suit the NES's more limited palette, and animated them using GRASP. A guy who worked as a programmer for Super Game mentioned it on one of his Baidu blog posts.

  • its actually a decent port....dont listen to the asshole's description for it. play it for yourself!

  • sounds good lol cant say the same for looks couse im used to the 16 bit ver... looks like it plays fair

  • Super Ninja 2

    Super Game

    The Super Shinobi

    More like Super Crap

  • looks pretty dang good for NES homebrew. better than anything those nesdev.parodius guys do, anyway

  • que grozo de donde sacas esto?

  • Nice pirate.

  • adding super to your game's name doesnt equate it being great..especially if its a pirated one

  • Shinobi III is one of the most awesome game for the Genesis and one of the best games ever created. This port is shit, but not original game.

  • These were the games the retarded kids in the LD classes played. the brainless stupid keep going foward kill everything you see no stategy hack n slash games that those kids played, because they lacked the intelligence or skill to play rpg's or adventure/logic/puzzle games. TMNT was a hard as balls hack n slash, with strategy. This is lame. lemme guess, you like Bad Dudes and Double Dragon too, right? homo.

  • @Freshbrood

    Dissing Double Dragon & Shinobi?

Dude, you're a hippopotamic cocksucker. Come at me bro.

  • @newkillergenius Can you not read the signs, It clearly say no feeding the Trolls.

  • @DreamKing2

    LOL

Couldn't pass up the chance to use the word 'hippopotamic'

    dude's still a fag though

  • I didn't know there is a shinobi version on NES just like the SEGA version...now if you tell me that exist revenge of shinobi for nes...that will be COOL

  • zarpado como corre jaja.

muy buena produccion para 8 bit.

no encuentro videos de la stage final de Super Shinobi 2 (Shinobi 3) Mega Drive/Genesis ¿si alguien sabe? me e pasa el link ¿?

  • He sends bad ninjas to hell...

  • This same game, with similar graphics and level layouts exists for the NES

  • @Freshbrood I meant, it is the same game. It sucks on the NES just the same as it sucks on the Genesis.

  • @Freshbrood Go. Fuck. Yourself. The Genesis game is the most awesome ninja game ever.

  • @ResurrectedTemplar Ryu Haybusa says no.

  • @nljuggalo Ryu Hayabusa can suck Joe Musashi's dick.

  • @ResurrectedTemplar Maybe the XBox version of Ryu is a fag... he'd probably oblige.

  • The guy who composed for this pirate was actually pretty OK. They should have worked for a better company, then we'd have a good game and a good soundtrack.

  • this is a great game on genesis its a good homebrew considerin it should be on a 16 bit console not an 8 bit

  • i know the sounds used in this game...they came from the Boogerman

  • Where can I buy this? It looks pretty good.

  • I don't think most of you know what the term 'pirate' is. This is called Homebrew, not piracy.

  • C'mon, don't underestimate this game. It is really well done for a pirate nes game. It uses in a superb way both palettes and tiles. With an emulator I also saw that the tiles of shinobi's sprites change frame by frame in the pattern and, if you know how nes games are made, you'll understand that doing ALL this is very difficult! These programmers are genius, and I'm putting the game online on my space applet :)

  • Pretty good port from the Megadrive original (for the most part),apart from music.

  • ...I feel like my childhood just got castrated by a Chinese man...oh wait it did, in the form of this pirate.

  • this is an insult to the original Shinobi III for Sega Genesis, if you hear the music, it out of tune, it made me vomit, because it's degrading and has nothing like the original version has...

  • This is a rip off of Ninja Turtles. Sounds, and all.

  • IMHO, I actually wouldn't mind playing this.

The music could've been better, but then again I take into consideration this is a hack. However, the instrumentation showed some potential though.

Time to pull out famitracker and start covering Shinobi III/Super Shinobi II BGMS!

  • @FCEngine The music sounds way better on the actual game for the Mega Drive.

  • Hey this is some pretty great programming. This game is spitting out graphics that are not supposed to be possible on old nes system 8-bit!! Now i wish they would make pc engine game translations for pc engine. Just imagine how great that would be!

  • Very ironic you'd bring that up. Just recently, someone just made a homebrew PC Engine conversion of Megaman/Rockman 1. It looks and plays pretty good too!

  • Super game? Trust me, nothing is super about this (and i mean this hack)

  • i think it looks pretty good considering the limitations of the nes.

  • Looks quite good for an NES game. The sprites are huge.

  • they completely ruined the best game ever made

  • Pretty decent attempt at "Ninja Step", IMO.

  • That's not "Ninja Step." It's actually "Shinobi Walk."

  • I get the two confused.

  • No problem. Similarly, a lot of people believe Yuzo Koshiro composed the soundtrack to Shinobi 3, but he had nothing to do with it.

  • @Loader2K1 You can tell aswell as it's no where near as good as Revenge of Shinobi.

  • @jacksprat1990: I actually like the soundtrack to Shinobi 3 (which was composed by Masayuki Nagao, Hirofumi Murasaki, and Horihiko Akiyama) more than Yuzo Koshiro's compostion of the soundtrack to The Revenge of Shinobi, but to each his own.

  • Ahhh man, imagine if this came out first on the nes in like 1987!!!....

  • Why play this when you can play the REAL Shinobi 3 on the Mega Drive/Genesis?

  • You do realize that there are countries beyond US and Western Europe, right?

Not every poor Chinese boy could afford to have a superior system. Those "poor man's" games were targeted at this, ill-informed cheapo market. Actually, 99% of things sold in flea markets are like that.

  • Thats actually correct...the next time you go to one...look real close at some things...its not all high end stuff.

  • I wouldn't say that graphics are dull. They look nice but other than that, this game looks really boring indeed.

  • Very impressive cross over.

  • My God...this makes me want to play Shinobi III on Sega Genesis Collection more often now, because this pirate scares me.

  • I played the game real and the truth seems much, (the real Obi is much better)

  • The graphics are one of the best I've seen on the NES.

  • actually, graphics seem ok. but it DOES seem like he's running around and around and around and around and around the same bit of forest.

  • i want to be a pirate!

  • A butt pirate.

  • Very impressive actually.

  • That looks like a lot of work for a pirate cart.

    Pirates tend to be lazy...

  • true, despite the sound, this game looks like Shinobi III/Super Shinobi II. not bad for a bootleg

  • wow, this actualy looks great for an nes game

  • Surprisingly accurate conversion of Shinobi 3 for the Genesis.

  • Does that has something to do with this?

  • i'm wondering... why isn't any N64 pirates?

  • There ARE, although you can only play them with a 64DD, making the homebrew scene suprisingly dead, because nobody's got one........

  • the repetitive background makes it seem like hes going in circles... around the same tree..

  • They used the sound effects from Contra.

  • @sugreev2001 i was thinking the same thing, they used the Konami Sound Effects from Contra, Super C, and Life Force, not to mention Gradius....
