I hate to tell you, but ALL the morphers are retools of exsisting morphers. then only exception is the sunglass morphers from jungle fury.

@kradrol Toy-wise, yes. Show-wise, not really since past morphers have functioned in the same manner as the original toy versions (they are using BOJ's toys). This one didn't inherit the brush in show even if it's the Shodophone toy. It's minor but a difference. That logic is also faulty to toys since early morpher toys were exact carry-overs, they started re-tooling later on.

@dmfighter And it even so, it's still a unique re-tool since past toys kept up the main function of the original (Mystic Morpher's wand mode) This one side-stepped the brush morph gimmick entirely.

I find this whole line crap, it is all cheap and there are so many changes away from the original show Bandai America had basically taking a dump on us thinking we are stupid the last quality toy put out in the US for power rangers in my opinion was Lightspeed's main Zord.

@tigerhawk74 Probably because they were still going off of BOJ's template for that, which would be too pricey to do now. And we haven't seen the whole line yet, the Mega Blade's getting good reviews and that's U.S exclusive.

I still am not used to the morphers being cell' 'phones. I don't think that the source of the heroes' powers should be such a mundane, everyday item.

Bandai america has lost it's touch in alot of thing's i know i may sound like a fanboy but

Morpher's last good one's we're ninja storm and sence overdrive (with the exception of the DX jungle fury megazord's sentinel knight and battlefleet megazord) have had very cheap plastic, part of it is our economy but yet hasbro make's transformer's and star war's merchandise with fine quality it could be bandai doesent care for pr or the most likely reason not getting enough purchases.

@Awsomeness1fly You could just take out the batteries or stick the tab back in. But yeah, don't like the long wait for it to make the noise. The Tracker's alam is more beneficial for it.

The ShodoPhone's hinge was loose too, and it too feels cheaper than other BoJ changers. I actually hoped BoA would fix that. There's really no comparison between the versions. They're both good on their own merits.

And as for recycling, looks like BoA loves reusing Boukenger (Overdrive) sound effects for their cell phone morphers as much as BoJ loves reusing Kamen Rider Kabuto sound effects for their henshin belts.

@dmfighter I was actually planning to find a knockoff as well in hopes of successfully making a show accurate Samuraizer complete with LED tip. Kinda disappointed the actual toy doesn't have an LED.

Pretty genius how they hid the speaker holes under the "PWR" button and the "2" button.

@tubeview96 Show-wise is what I meant more since I can't recall another example, it's not brand-new or the same kind as the original. Toy-wise it's the same quality as the Cell Shift and Solar Morphers, and not having screen-accurate phrases is standard for BOA starting any series..
