@jmorter Don't even bother arguing with duncan, man. You and I both know that Eric is a hero and has done far more than he ever will. I'll vote for him if he runs for office; hell, I'd help fund his campaign! We need more leaders with compassion and courage in office, especially from our military.

How sad that among Greitens' accomplishments is to protect assholes like @imorter from harm. It would be a better world if @imorter were dumped out of a taxi inFallugah and let the ragheads have their way with him. Maybe it would make room for someone who deserves the air they consume.

Oh no here we go, another self righteous military war man who is getting noticed so he can eventually run for office. Eventually he will run for President. I can sense his egotistical arrogance that most politicians have in them. Look just cause you took part in war doesnt qualify you for elected office that so many vets think they are entitaled to. Mr. Greitens lists all of his good deeds to the world, remember if you mention your good deeds, then you did it for all the wrong reasons.

Oh, right, the men and women who have. Volunteer in Darfur and see what life would be like if you didn't have people to fight for you.

@duncan7599 Tell me buddy, where do you get your info, have you read soldiers books, say this one, have you met a soldier in person, tell me if you know anyone you were friends with that became soldiers, tell me if you ever had a bullet fly by your head, or see a friend wounded? tell me then if all this political crap comes to play, your half right, soldiers don't just fight for home, they fight for each other, because in reality, you can't just go home when your fighting, you have to finish

I am the mother of a SEAL-in-training. When people ask about what our son is up to, they say, "My uncle (father, brother, friend, etc) was a SEAL and he is really messed up...he never got over it..." With tears in my eyes, I finally told me son that I did not want him to be "really messed up." He told me that for every 1 of those, he knows 9 who are wonderful citizens, husbands, fathers. Eric is a testament to that. I can't wait to read the book. I am encouraged about my son's future.
