NICELY DONE..THIS IS A HARD SONG TO PULL OFF 'LIVE' ESPECIALLY BECAUSE GEORGE'S HARMONY IS SO LOW....THE BEATLES ALWAYS SUCKED 'LIVE' WHEN TRYING TO PULL THIS ONE OFF....
Check out the tribute band from the Czech Republic. They are called the "Beatles Revival" band. I have heard and seen in person, most of the other Beatles tribute bands and they are by far the closest sounding band to the Beatles. NO accents either! One of their many Youtube videos is called "Beatles Revival Promo 2008" or just compare their other songs with this video and you will see what i'm talking about. Tell me what you think Beatlemaniac fans and experts!
I HATE Beatles tribute bands! They never sound like the real thing! BUT, These guys are an exception! Especially "John" They are so good its spooky! Well done lads! Keep it up!
That would be great, because it obvious they understand the music so well, to write a couple of new songs 'as if' The Beatles had stayed in that style and period of music. Make some 'Alternative Dimension' songs but still use the components of the music from that time. Or do some covers of some other songs as if the 1964 Beatles had done them...let's see....1964 Beatles doing a cover of ......Alannis Morisette's "Thank You, India," or something like that, lol.
@kirkindysolospock: THAT...is a REALLY cool Idea! The pseudo-Beatles doing a cover of, say, a U2 song...in 1960's style! (I THINK U2 has covered one or two Beatles songs, but am not sure...What about developing the 'Sgt. Pepper LHCB' personas? What other songs would Sgt. have played on thier records?
(I can JUST see Apple Corps TRYING to create a band and name it this, tho...) :)

I believe that "Tom/George" is really Jimmy Pou...the former George of 12 years with 1964

tom got the harmonic perfect.

do you mean harmony?
lisalennonxoxo 3 years ago
no on the guitar solo that noise at the end is the harmonic.
scarletspidey5 3 years ago
The sound at 0:19, that's the harmonic, and yes, it sounds just like on the record!
Great cover!

Geroge Harrison used a strat on the original recording, not a gretch country gent.

Cast390, George used the Strat for the record, but on tour he was using his Epiphone Casino (as was John) in late '65-1966.
