In the 60's all live export for slaughter was stopped because of the horrendous conditions they had to endure (including cattle, sheep & pigs). Only carcass export was allowed until we joined the EU (bad day) and then live export resumed in accordance with EU regulations which meant that live animals who had no more rights than a cabbage. We must fight as hard as we can for carcass export only. These animals should never be subjected to the brutal, barbaric conditions that exist in live export.
@MsDancegenie I totally agree with you about carcass export. I seem to remember a slogan from years ago, something like "on the hook not on the hoof".
Yes of Course its Time to put a stop this means Carrying Live Horse's for the Meat Trade.
Its Pay Back Time, They have been through Enough,
For Me Its Simple, Live Horse's take Up So Much Room in Lorrie's. & As Pippa has said It Cost a Great Deal of Money.
Slaughter house 1st, ( I Hate Saying That ) They Could then carry so much More, It would be Cheaper, & It would put an End to The Transport of Live Horse's for the Meat Trade. This could Solve the Problem for Once & for ALL. Horse 1st
