  • Mr.Fitz what the hell are you talking about? nobody gets humiliated and nobody suffers, JROTC is a respected program funded and started by the army, it is just like ROTC which makes Officers, Your just a stupid private.

  • Just fags that think there cool but there not

  • @september340 agreed. it kind of mocks what real service members are about too.

  • Same here

  • just to let everyone of ya'll know who are in jrotc and plan on joining the military after high school. u will get humiliated for it and u will suffer physicly for it as well. and thats coming from PFC Sumner C CO 118th. LEAD THE WAY

  • do highschool cadets where there uniforms to school? i start next year.and what do you do in it exactly, all i know is it prepares you. thanks.

  • @NYmosVids it depends on the school and its rules

  • @NYmosVids You wear your uniform once a week, Your first year you are learning how to march, read a map, commands and how to fold flag etc. Second year you will be teaching the LET 1's and you will be the leader. The clas is called leadership, most people love JRotc.

  • can i enroll in JROTC even if its not at my school?

  • @jame679

it depends how close your school is to a jrotc program. SOMETIMES they let kids go to other schools just for jrotc programs if enough are interested if a school is close enough. this is called a magnet school.

  • @a1991bluedragon Ya that sounds about right. I have to drive 30min. every time I go to JROTC.

  • jrotc is fucking gay, it does nothing but produce cocky and incompetent rotc cadets or enlisted personnel

  • Lots of the the JROTC kids at my school are cocky jerks.

  • do pt is if school is cancelled and luckly at our school

jrotc takes the place of PE, Health, and Civics. we do a lot and are considered the back bne ofour school and for another few at my school you have to earn every litle chance you get to be promoted we have to go to promotion boards or big interview from cpl up. you have to maintain grades to be promoted and to retain your rank I love JROTC and if i had the chance to do things over again i would do jrotc again.

  • @number1HitlerFan well i dont know were you think you are coming from but i am now a cadet MAJOR at my high school and am the battalion commander. We work ou asses off for our school and community. our ai and sai are infact certified teachers with the college hours to prove it. i is not a recruitment tool and never will be. for the few of you all out there sounds like ur program suck. i know at my school when they say we are going to do pt no matter what they mean it the only time we do not

  • 1:25...Yugoslavia ??? Realy, America ?? REALY ???

I guess Ambrose Bierce was right when he said : ‎"War is God's way of teaching Americans geography."

  • fucking jrotc sucks dick!! im so glad i got out of this fake ass shit.

  • I take AF JRTOC at my highschool you have to wear your uniform in all of your classes but gym and yes if u take this all 4 years i do think u get ranked up to Lt.

  • I take AF JRTOC at my highschool you have to wear your uniform in all of your classes but gym

  • this just goes to show how far america really is willing to go for war, having the audacity to place a recruitment system in their own public schools, and fooling the school districts by saying a large portion of the funds will be coming from the Department of Defense, however, an insultingly small amount is covered, forcing the school districts to fend for themselves against the massive financial burden, and in the process laying off teachers, cancelling field trips. ITS A DISGRACE

  • @number1HitlerFan " Place a recruiting system in their own public schools"

    1) You're ignorant, you havent been in it, so don't talk shit about it

    2) The AI's ( Army Instructors) at my school encourage you NOT to join

    3) You're a disgrace

    4) Get the fuck off Youtube troll

    5) The budget at my JROTC is crap, we don't even have brass or ribbon at my school. We don't even have patches on our Class A uniform. Everything we have is out of our teachers budet. The school operates away from us Where I am

  • JROTC is an abomination that must be destroyed. the government says their getting the troops back home, yet they are puring in millions for the war and school districts are willing to eliminate arts and music classes and pay thousands upon thousands of dollars for jrotc, an army recruitment system. the instructors arent certified teachers and the program itself shouldnt even count for P.E. credit. JROTC is a product of the devil.

  • @number1HitlerFan " product of the devil."

    1) How many JROTC cadets join the armed forces?Few.

2)Does not count as PE everywhere idiot.

    3) I haven't seen a single recruitment anywhere.

    4) The Art classes and band has had more stuff than we had for the past fifteen years, I was in an Art class and JROTC

    5) Its pouring not " puring"

    6) The experience army instructors are some of the best teachers I ever encountered in my education. Better than my math and bio teacher for a fact.

    7) ----->Troll.

  • @number1HitlerFan your an idiot the JROTC does infact teach you things and is not a recruitment tool you have the option too join as a higher rank so back off i bet you never took the course so you wouldn't understand so let us be it's our lifes and the schools decisions if your so concerned then act on it

  • @number1HitlerFan hmm well 1st off just by your name i can tell you probably dont like america also i love jrotc and really they have WAY less things then my music and art classes (which get new things every several months) and jrotc has re used things last but not least ... they have never told me to go into the army NOT ONCE ....actually not allot of jrotc students/cadets go into the military and my instructor tells us that its our choice if we want to go to the military..no recruiting at all

  • @number1HitlerFan A....Product.....Of......The......Devil....? Listen you stupid SOB, one you need to stop playing on the computer with out your parents permission, two incoherent rambling isn't a good way to start a conversation, and three, you suck at life. I bet the only reason why you bashin JROTC is because you are probably one of the idiots who got kicked out for doing something dumb, and still can't figure out why you got kicked out from the program. Go play chicken with on coming traffic

  • @celicasti9 That is partially incorrect. The lessons that transfer from JROTC to ROTC are, Land Navigation, D&C, and First Aid. Everything else in ROTC is completely different; especially MS3, MS4 where you begin to learn platoon and squad operations. That's just the tip of the iceberg, then you have evaluations, FTXs, Orders, SEMAC... the list goes on. Having been through JROTC, ROTC, and the real military, I the difference between junior and real ROTC is like night and day.

  • Instead, spend that time taking AP classes or any preparatory classes you might need. Honestly, spending my senior year of HS as a c/Maj XO of the battalion was actually a waste of my time. I should have spent that time taking two AP classes that would have actually lightened my workload once I got to college.

  • @535manbearpig It was no different back in 1994. Sometime around '95 JROTC changed big time. Dunno if it was the Clinton administration, major changes to the Army, or what it was. So the whole "it's soft and it sucks" isn't something new. Other than Drill and Ceremonies, Land Navigation, Safety/First Aid, and knot classes (which you get your LET1 and 2 years) you need nothing else. If you're planning on going to college (real ROTC), do not continue unto a staff position. (cont'd)

  • Tripplenipple10 u don't have to go thru JROTC so u can enroll senior ROTC, but my opinion as c/sgt is that u enroll JROTC first cause then the senior ROTC is going to be eseair! Y? Cause when u enroll ROTC ull have gain more than a 70% of the skills they'll show u in ROTC!! Suggestions enroll JROTC and enter the raiders there ull gain every skill!!

  • In PT ull have to do a series of exercise! Ull get used to it and ull gain skills that are going to be very useful in ur future! But about PT it's not hard I'll do push ups, run, sit ups, pull ups, etc...

  • i have a question im going into highschool as a freshman this year and im in jrotc im scared of the fitness part i can run do about 10 push ups and maybe 5 sit ups as u can see im not the fittest person ever can someone tell me what u have to do in pt

  • I defintley want to do rotc but do i have to join jrotc before going to rotc or what? Thanks for the help.

  • I wish my HS's JROTC was as great as this video makes it to be. I know this one kid that's in JROTC, he doesn't know honesty, he doesn't know integrity, he knows nothing. And he doesn't care. It makes me sad to see this in a way, because I know so many kids that don't bother, and do it because they're made too.

At least that's not all kids. Most of my best friends love JROTC.

  • @ThatAsianLoser I'm not exactly sure what to tell you. Possibly hes trying to bait students into things rather than reward people already doing them.

  • @a1991bluedragon i feel your pain ever since we got a major at my school its just not the same. im still a Lance Corporal and was supposed to get Corporal for best drill but it hasnt happened yet

  • @ThatAsianLoser that totally sucks, JROTC began during my 11th grade year, so I couldn't do the full 4 yrs and get the scholorship, but I guess now the Colonel is now a dean at the school as well. The program was great but I guess shortly after the class I was in graduated, the Sgt. went AWOL... but it sucks about your situation, JROTC is suppose to be student run.

  • @ThatAsianLoser That's a bad deal man and I'm sorry to hear that. It goes against the purpose of what the AIs and SAIs are there to serve. Don't be afraid to bring that up either inspection time or the school admins because that is not supposed to be going on and needs to stop.

  • @ThatAsianLoser Unfortunately, you're not the only one. Long story short: if it was 40 degress outside, we wouldn't have PT(which we were told it didn't matter if it rained or not that we would do PT); we watched movies daily; & when I reached the rank of Captain(Supply Officer)in my senior year, I got demoted to Private because I didn't go to the military ball. Unless you wore diamonds on your shoulders & were a preppy suck up, you did practically nothing.

    Four years of credits wasted...

  • @ThatAsianLoser Man i completely feel you on that one. Im a PFC and im on drill team, i have a 4.6 GPA, im the Guidon for my Company. But yet other cadets that don't care about JROTC, and want to leave the program, get Corporal. My AI is Favoritist. And im extremly devoted to JROTC. Also my Company Commander, my Platoon Sergeant, And 4 of my Squad leaders had recommended for me to get corporal last Promotian. But sadly it was turned down.

  • @ThatAsianLoser Same here, only I'm in NJROTC. I worked my ass off to get to E-4 by the end of the year and this bitch gets an officer rank for doing remotely NOTHING!!

  • there is an AFJROTC.

  • @andyli916 Yea im in it its great

  • i'm stuck w/ the army jrotc, god i wished it was mcjrotc

  • I'm doing JROTC next year and I'm looking for a bright military career for myself, and hopefully I can get a lot out of JROTC. But what makes me angry is how kids who play freaking Call of Duty do it because it reminds them of guns and they don't get the whole military importance of it

  • @connor72595 ahaha call of duty, its a fun game.. but it pisses me off when i hear people talking about it outside of school.. its like ya dude... i dont give a crap about your stupid quickscope or nuke or whatever lol

  • whhat the hell? JROTC this is not hardcore?! their emblem is pink!! there marksmanship is pellet guns? what about the good old .308 or the .338? I'm goin into highschool (goin to be freshman) and was lookin into ROTC, i guess you have to be in colledge for that, but i would feel like i am unadvancing if i go to this.. i mean color guardd? i want to work on an officer career, or maby even enlisting, but noo the just cant do it at our age..

  • @XxD3ADxTR33xX Thr army standard rifle is 5.56..oh and college ROTC you are a student first anyways...calm down mister highspeed

  • @duneranger im talking about the persision rifles (sniper rifles), they use the standard .308 for marines and army and i think other branches do to, for a Remington 700 base model. they are now adopting a .338 lapua tho which shoots way farther, and actualy isnt as bad on recoil. i would understand like a .22... since .308 is like 18 bucks for a box of 20 last time i looked, and the .338, i have no clue if they even publicaly manufacture those, but a pellet gun lol.. is the 5.56mm for m4/m16?

  • @XxD3ADxTR33xX You were expecting to join ROTC and become an officer at the humble age of 14? HA!

  • @SpartanicalSystem no not at all. Im just surprised this is all the army has to offer. You think they would set up a little better training programs you know? i mean other countries have such things, like Israel, the GAGNA program and such.

  • @XxD3ADxTR33xX Anything more then what JROTC is now is getting a wee bit to close to a hitlers youth kind of thing. Imho

  • @SpartanicalSystem naww just alot of us americans are pussys lol

  • @SpartanicalSystem some kids like me dream of surving their country, and an oppurtunity such as this is incredible to me.

  • @paintdataint I'm thinking about Naval Aviation or even ROTC for the marines. But you have to be able to recognize when militarization is going to far. (Which I don't think JROTC is.)

P.S. For my sake try and use proper spelling and grammar?

  • JROTC = badass. At first I was thinking about just taking some useless electives since I took honors/ap for pretty much each class, but then I realized how much you can build off of JROTC and decided to go with that and it's been great, learned a alot of useful skills.

  • YouTube- " wojna prosta sprawa "eng. ( subtitle PL)

  • is there a difference between army or AF JROTC cuz my high school has AF

  • no its just diff uniforms and different history.

  • not too much really

  • they have different uniforms and some different rules

  • Yes i would say there is but not a big Difference, like the Uniforms Marching Commands etc..

  • gahhh!!!!!!!! oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo that color guard did a facing movement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! color guards arent supposed to do facing movements... specially if theyre not at order arms...

    bad color guard! bad!

  • Thank you! I actually had a meeting today. :)

  • can somebody help me? i was told when you get you're class A dry cleaned do you take the buttons off or no, because that's what i was told but I'm not sure?

  • @cRaZyJaMeS67 that's what you should do. I forgot once though and nothing happened. Best not find out what could happen though right? Better safe than sorry!

  • wat i like to do is find something to cover them then shine when done.

  • Rotc definetly changed my life for the better im really glad i Joined, I'm a First Sergeant at Plano West Sr HIgh School, honor unit w/ distinction

  • From JROTC you gain so many great and long willing friendships. It gives you a chance to become a leader. It's a Leadership class. Everytime I wear the uniform I'm proud!

  • @the1337mime Hooah to that! It's giving me a lot of confidence. I don't know where I'd be without JROTC

  • i just join this year and i am a freshman and i am a privte 1st class and i join drill and raiders. I think high school students should join. Its fun.

  • I'm a freshman and already I've been promoted to c/CPL (corporal). At my school that's the highest rank for a freshman. I'm on drill,pt (physical training), and s-5 staff.:)

  • @triplemint09 hang on a second! You're a LET 1 and you're already your battalion's S-5?! Wow. Where I'm from, you have to be a LET IV to get that position. You'd be extremely lucky to get it as a LET III. Hey congrats and enjoy your time on staff :)

  • its all about Patton Academy at Farragut Career Academy

  • Former airman with the AFJROTC at Southern Wayne High School, NC

  • NJROTC kicks ass.

  • im in AFJROTC

  • hooah GOLF COMPANY raiders squad i incourage everyone to join raiders in rotc is really tests your body

  • does raiders last all year? I forgot to ask my sargeant

  • yes it is its fun extra activitys but i warn you its not for the weak and they should tell you to do 100 push ups and 100 sit ups a night

  • ok thanks, I know is hard, and yes they do tell me that all the time lol, I think I'm in pretty good shape, thanks for the heads up.

  • its not just army jrotc they are all the same, with air force navy army and marine corps. i am going to be a second year in my AFJROTC very fun stuff. things you would never get to experience unless you were in JROTC my district has two AFJROTCS though

  • hey..

i have question. could i join the JROTC if i'm a exchange student?

  • yea just go to ur guidance office and get jrotc added to ur classes

  • thank you for the info. i just met some of the instructers today at freshmen invasion and they are extremely nice, they said the only hard part would be drills. but they would help me if i was lost.

  • this was a big help to me as i join JROTC for my freshman year monday and im extremely nervous about tomarrow because thats when i meet my instructors.

  • so you could be a general in JROTC and join up and be a private right?

  • hey i am starting jrotc tommorow i want to be a leader in my group (=

  • southern high school guam "knight battalion" HOOAH JROTC!!!!

    c/ 1LT Cruz, Mark

  • hey my school dosent have jrotc, is it hard to get the program inthe school

  • First go and arrange a meeting with your principal if your interested in the program. You can most likely get the information you need to start the program there.

  • my school is afjrotc..whats the dif...? besides the whole army and air force?

  • Rank names and insignias and the wording for the orders and the color of the uniform. The only person i met out of my branch(army) was in the navy JROTC so im not sure for the Air force, but from what the navy guy said im guessing its the same difference for you. hope this helps

  • i am a cadet in army jrotc if anybody has any questions let me know and ill answer

  • what rank and position are you

  • i am a 2lt and i am the assistant S4 and next year ill have the position of S4 and my senior year ill be the Battalion Commander

  • Im starting Jrotc this year. does anybody know how you become a cadet officer? Please respond.

  • in general, army starts cadets as officers their second year in the program, and that's if they are good as squad leaders their first year.

The officer rank you start out as is the 2LT (second lieutenant). That is the platoon leader rank, which I had my sophmore year.

Otherwise, you will most likely become a 1st sergeant, or platoon sergeant. Sometimes, people whom do not become officers their second year feel that they were somehow betrayed. Its just their can only be one 2LT per company

  • wow us its in the senior year we have more training i guess

  • One answer. BUST ASS. I busted ass and am being promoted to c/2nd Lt next month

  • uumm really after 4 years oh shit i never thought about it!

well uummm i think ill go for 3 years then

  • It's a great class but sometimes people take this calss to seriously. Alot of people in the JROTC class I attend are to overweight and make the class look bad. Our cadet of the year was to overweight to join the military and now he works at Target.

  • i wish my school had JROTC

  • no you don't! okay!

  • why not?

  • cuz its horrible if your normal.

but if you are a nerd and don't have alot of friends, then you will fit right in.

  • Hahah, I think you've got that pegged a bit wrong. There are a lot of people in my old battalion and the battalion in the same districts that would prove that statement incredibly wrong. However, we aren't judgmental. There is a place in a JROTC program for any kind of kid, smart, athletic or otherwise. So yes, if your not the most social person it's a great place to be. But by no means does it fit your definition. Maybe your a little jealous HBX27 ;)

  • i was in Charlie company i was a LET2 i was a private first class and i got 7 ribbons. and in my high school its different story. we got racist nerds and shit trying to think there all hard and stuff like that. then we got the evil XO that is mean and is also racist. haha over were you are it might be good. but here it got bad.

  • @a1991bluedragon Nah. The JROTC in my school did have a lot of popular kids in it. Its just that those kids got the leadership positions and didn't do shit.

  • @HBX27 sounds about right hehe

  • 3rd Bn RAIDERS!

  • no you dont have to join he amy after, you can and have advantages like becoming an officer right off the bat, but you dont have to

  • actually no. JROTC is high school. You can't be an officer with just a Diploma, you need at least a BA.

  • Is it true that if you finish the 4 years of JROTC then you have to join the army?

  • lol troll

  • No you do not have to join the Army. It's a high school citizenship class, it's kinda like boy scouts but instead of camping stuff you learn leadership and army stuff. Exempting things like tactics and combat, you don't learn that. Just marching and the uniform are the only REAL army stuff you learn.

  • No. JROTC doesn't force you to join the military. You can take it for fun but after 4 years of JROTC it gives you an advantage in the military

  • Central High School Warrior Battalion

    (9th)"Sir, Cadet Sergeant Simpson, LET1"

(10th)"Sir, Cadet Fist Sregeant Simpson, LET2"

I might get Captain in my junior year

  • Hooah!

from the WInters Mill High Falcon Battalion

    keep on drivin' on.

  • FHHS TIGER BATTALION HOOAH!

    um.

Why do you guys have backpacks on your uniforms?

In our school, it's a disrespectful thing to do so :P

  • Also, we don't learn crap. Then they give us random unannounced tests oon random subjects we haven't learned. I've been in it for 3 years and i will do it 4 a fourth year just to put it on my college applications. I really was wishing for a disciplined, tough, military like experiance. Or at the VERY LEAST, see cadets held accountable, but no. Its al about popularity and who has the time and MONEY, to "Contribute". Our new Squadron Commander is a fucking pot head but she has money.

  • I'm sorry. That would fall under you SAI and AI, and It's unfortuneate that you aren't getting an enjoyable and constructive experience from your program. Your supposed to learn lessons from the LET books then test. Drill and pt certain days of the week. That should be fixed during formal inspections. If cadets aren't learning classroom material then that program should fail a formal inspection.

  • You are completley right. This goes on in my school. I'm going into my 3rd year then quitting.

  • @TheRealTaco87 I'mma platoon sarge and I make it disciplined and tough :)

  • @deparnieux123 Cadet platoon sergeant or former real military platoon sergeant (MSI)? And how so?

  • @TheRealTaco87 Cadet Platoon Sarge, my bad, I just don't let my cadets mess around at all

  • @deparnieux123 its u that we need in rotc but u cant do shit to unrespectful idiots cuz then ud get sued, thats why i hate jrotc no real discipline, no real physical challenge, no real anything, just a marching class. Im a person who likes being challenged and this was a dissapointment.

  • @deparnieux123 wait CADET SARGE? NEVER FUKING MIND i thought u wer in the real military

  • @TheRealTaco87 hahah so true, i was hoping a tough military like experience like the REAL military, but no its just not doing anything acting like we're listening and hoping we had never joined such a ridiculous class. Its funny cuz actually the most unfit people in the school join rotc , all i see is so much fat and weak people in there and rotc does nothing to improve them cuz we dont do shit.

  • I credit JROTC with my success in high school. Thanks to the leadership of LTC Bruce D. Kahl and CSM Ronald E. Stallings, I ran for, and was elected President of the Student Government for the 2006-2007 school year. I enlisted in the US Army shortly after the year began as a (then 96B) 35F. Patapsco Patriots!

  • i know CSM Stallings, he's awesome! I dont go to Patapsco, but he was one of my cadre at JCLC 08, i learned so much from that man.

  • i'm in jrotc right now and i gotta say it teaches you alot. its not just an elective. it teaches you leadership and life skills. its great for college and when you get out of high school and actually work.

  • I signed up for this next year in my 10th grade year ^^

  • JROTC is really great. It worked wonders for me.

  • I signed up for next year, my freshmen year of High School.

  • Hooah!! LTC. Chuck Fields is pretty much amazing!!!

  • JROTC is a elective i will take when i'm in 9th grade im in 8th grade. SO......JROTC

    ROCKS NAPLES HIGH FL

  • Kahuku High School Hawaii Red Raider Battalion HOOAH!

  • JROTC Rocks the school man, Riverdale High School, Murfreesboro, TN.

  • HAHA iM TAKiN THis CLASS.. iTS FUN! =]

  • There are many misperceptions about JROTC. The most common one is that anyone who hasn't done JROTC yet will always assume that you are admitted to the army once you join. JROTC should start enlighten more people, because my JROTC doesn't do that much which is why we're short of cadets (Team members that participate in any JROTC team)

  • im in it its fun george roger clark high school . long knifes

  • ARMY JROTC is awesome IM a Cadet Sergeant First Class HOOAH

  • 6th Brigade. Fort Pierce Central High School. FL. CORBA BATTALION

  • It's all about Lakes High School! Can i get a hoot!

  • GO ARMY JROTC!!Steinmetz Academic Centre Chicago, IL!!!!

  • ARMY JROTC, HOOAH!

Alhambra HighSchool, Phoenix, AZ. Honor unit w/ distinction for 9 years straight. HOOAH

  • I was in JROTC and also in ROTC in college. It is a great program that has taught me many skills. However you can make a modest comparison of the program to the Hitler Youth of Nazi Germany. We find that the Hitler Youth was part of an evil empire but "The Youths" participants did not know that. they were taught how to care for themselves, their communities, and their country. Only during desperation in war were they used as a weapon. Therefore you can easily compare the Hitler Youth to JROTC.

  • Thats bullshit!

  • Sigh, there is no comparison. JROTC doesn't learn anything that deals with combat. The only actual Army based thing they learn is drill and the wear of the uniform. Everything else is like first aid or financial planning or social skills. They aren't allowed to learn anything that is "too" Army.

ROTC of course is a little different but it is an actual program designed to create ARMY officers, its no different than going to West Point albeit less prestigious.

  • go foxtrot campany charlie sucks

  • Most private schools have their own JROTC Battalion.

  • Im in the Red Bull Battalion in Iowa...i joined the Jrotc program last year i never looked back!!!! BRAVO NOTHING LESS BUT THE BEST HOOAH!!!

  • I kind of know what your getting at Philly, but the truth is the program is meant to motivate young people to become better citizens. My SAI/AI don't preach us on joining the military, they tell us just to always keep striving forward, how to be a strong leader, and on top of that just motivating us to do our best. And not only the military benefits from JROTC, the whole world does by having better leaders.

  • Sigh, I wish people would get themselves informed before they insult things. The only thing I have EVER learned in Army JROTC that the Army would want me to know as a soldier is proper wear of the uniform and how to march. Do you honestly think the government would spend that much money on a program if that was all the useful things they got from it? Especially considering if I were to enlist in the military I would still have to go through basic and learn that again? You are a fool, period.
