The dollar will go down when inflation sets in. We are spending to much money and have nothing to show for it. We are in debt and do not have a way to pay it back! The interest is killing us.

But stupid ass politicians in Washington still spend, with wars, foreign aids, banker bailouts, stimulace and now healthcare!

Y = C + I + G + (X-M)

The consumption part of this equation makes up 70% of income (Y). This is imploding. The export (X) part is imploding to as consumption in the rest of the world is declining too. Furthmore only a nutjob would invest (I) and even if they did they can't get credit and they have no savings because of artificially low interest rates. That leaves G, which is being borrowed and printed. C + I was a credit illusion anyway. Final result will be Economic Apocalyse from September.

Your right, I live in Canada and when are dollar is strong it hurts our sales to the USA, and when it's weak we do better, its the same for the USA export market.

The problem with a weak US dollar is, even when it is weak, you still cant compete with the rest of the worlds cheap labor and human capital.

A weak US dollar will create jobs but at the cost of the american standard of living. work 14 hrs a day just so you can feed your self, so a kid in china can have a pair of shoes!!
