I find it humorous that people keep comparing this band to TOOL. I'll say this song is similar, but not their other stuff.

And saying this band is better than TOOL is also stupid. I'm not saying they're worse, I'm just saying they're different.

I don't really see the comparison. Oceansize have a more varied sound and are less toward the prog metal spectrum and more toward the post-rock side. I say they are both equal. I just haven't been drawn to Tools sound as much, although I do like them.

The drumming doesn't ompare, but I'm a drummer, and trust me, a lot of Oceansize songs are just as difficult to drum as most Tool songs, including tis one. The drummers have different styles but both are among the best out there today.

I hate the way music is like competition....fact is both are great bands who make innovative music for their time. Who is "best" comes down to personal taste; I love Oceansize, but prefer Tool...doesn't mean they're necessarily better. Anyone with some musical knowledge can see both bands are amazing...and that both drummers are kick ass, just different

With art of a certain level of excellent, you have to let it just go to taste; how are you going to compare great with great? If we were talking about this vs. Green Day, it would be different. I think of their songwriting as being very different and so the drumming is different
