  • since the trailer of the starcraft suite cam out before iron man

asked for permisison to do the same thing

blizzard gave them, and thats why it looks a like

  • Is the marine in Starcraft 2 Robert Downey Jr.? No? Then Iron Man reigns champ.

Really though, Iron Man's been suiting up this way for a LONG time.

  • In the future, Tony Stark XIII built the Terran suits in a cave with a bunch of scraps!

  • oh ok.... finally saw the comparison... what's everybody freaking out over? so somebody used it first... it's a very nice graphic way to display suiting up... what else would they have Stark do? skip around a dressing room squirting perfume on himself while Pepper hooked him up? maybe squeeze in a little softcore porn? this type of sequence is awesome no matter who uses it

  • I thought of this exact thing when I saw Ironman.

  • yep first thing I thought when I saw the movie. wtf this is just like in SC2

  • It was fairly obvious that someone copied someone else when I watched Iron Man. It was almost scene for scene Blizzard's Starcraft 2 movie trailer.

  • Be reasonable. Blizzards trailer aired in late 2007, the way I see it even *IF* someone who had a say about the movies design HAPPENED to be a StarCraft fan and wanted this "suit up" to look like Blizzs vid, they wouldn't have had enough time to actually make it for Iron Man.

And knowing Blizzard there's still more of a chance THEY "copied" anyone than the other way around. I mean, with SC being a WH40k lookalike they shouldn't be the ones complaining about being copied. ;)

  • exactly, iron man was produced and this scene was most likely already in the mix and on the drawing boards before the sc2 trailer was aired. Just because the movie came out recently, doesnt mean the storyboards didnt have this scene years ago, and that it wasnt already in production.

  • agree with everything above, but for the sake of agreement and discussion.

One can also argue the storyboards can CHANGE a year later and was recently in production. Given the time-frame between the 'said trailer and movie release.' thats enough time to make that scene.
