  • 2:17 Iod 2I wird zu Iodid 2I- reduziert, nicht oxidiert.

  • @GeneralSzadek selbstverständlich wird zu Iodid reduziert. Vielen Dank für den Hinweis!

  • It makes me sad to see so much precious iodine be destroyed :(

  • @spotlightman1234 I got no serious use for these small and unprocessed amounts with lots of moisture in it. I actually planned another method to form iodine from iodide, using oxygen-gas (formed in a seperate vessel) and a catalyst, but I'm not sure if I'm going to make a video about it, neither to post it here.

  • nice clip,

as oxidicing agent persulfat(S2O8 --) just works wounderfull as well

  • Echt ein ausgezeichnetes experiment chaoschemiker XDDDD ich bin schwer beeindruckt!

  • Cool! Very clean and tidy. But, for favour, I would have made to things something different from yours: At first I would heat the thiosulphatic solution and stirr with the Ikamag, and second I would have spoken in German or English at the video and would have subtiteled it. But this is just my personal favour, from the objective view this is a 5-Star-Video!
