@Herowebcomics Hi I wonder can you please tell me if I can buy this on dvd or vhs even though my vhs player is not working sob sob....I looked for it on amazon but didn't find this one
I can't belive I never saw this special before. How absolutely delightfull. This is just the right messsage that should be spread around Christmas. Isn't that what Christmas is all about anyway? Thank you for uploading it and taking me back to my younger years. ;o)
I have Andy Willaims&The NBC Kids Search For Santa Claus On Dvd,complete&uncut with all the original commercials,Plus A Muppet Family Christmas Uncut ABC airing 1987 with original commercials.
it's all gotten too "high tech", these days. These shows were more like what you would see at a theater or play. It's a portion of television that is gone and I'm afraid won't be back. SAD, but this is a huge reason that I don't subscribe to any TV providers anymore. 150-200 channels of mindless clutter with rare exceptions!
i too remember this special and very much also would like to have a dvd copy. is there some way of possibly making a copy to give or sell of this program?
The blonde girl who played Margeaux on punky brewster...seems she got alot of the dance parts here. She was the world tap dance champion a few years prior to her punky gig.
"How do you go about tying a bow around love?" - and this marvellous clip achieves exactly that... I can't stop watching it! In the space of just nine minutes Andy Williams and co. deliver everything: nostalgia, great music, and love that oozes from the screen; 1985 is indeed a year that deserves lamenting. I wonder if it was Bill Cosby's inability to sing that led to his otherwise inexplicable absence from the production?
Would you have a copy of ''SO LITTLE TIME'' the theme song from 55 DAYS AT PEKING? It's a beautiful, award winning song that's been overlooked for too long...and impossible to get hold of in Europe. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
This brings back many wonderful memories for my wife and I. It's also great to share it with my two daughters who were too young to remember these Holiday Specials.
Tempest Bledsoe cracked me up the way she looked when she was singing with Andy Williams

1985 was about the only year or era when NBC was the cream of the crop in terms of networks.

The networks should run these holiday specials for today's kids. Perhaps Eminem could host. Circus of the Stars, anyone?

Weird to see the Punky Brewster set at 3:09. You can tell they are in Henry's den but you see the lights above. Crazy.

Beautiful,
A fantastic example of what Network TV used to be about, before the wankers, accountants and lawyers took over.
Kind regards,
