Umm, if your dumb ass would play the kate part all the way through, you would know she was talking about him not being afraid of the needle(stiching up).
Hi, just watched this, wow, very interesting. I think you could be right about this. I can't believe other people haven't noticed this. Brilliant, v excited now it's coming to an end, but considering not watching the final double episode and watching from the beginning again. Love this, please do more. Please let seanie b know.
Ok,... interesting.... but what about the hundreds of times Jack is wrong and clueless? If anyone seems to know what is going on from day one its John Locke.
good thoughts. I was first thinking the whole not telling hurley his name thing was just because he was in a panic. but aren't most spinal surgeons pretty cool under pressure. and i know that in most first aid training they tell you to identify yourself when you start to enlist the help of others. good stuff man
I think this is an interesting theory but I don't think it's right. There are reasonable explanations for everything in this video. I do however think you bring up a good point with the black outs and hopefully that will be explained in this last season.
I think you're looking into this too deeply. Yes, I agree that with Lost anything is possible, but if this was in the show I think I would be super pissed off. It just doesn't seem like it's their style of writing.
I think this is a common case of completely overanalysing lost to the nth degree. ;) Although I will say it's insteresting to mention the blacking out. I suppose this could have happened both plane crashes, although it wouldn't explain their injuries.
i just started rewatching and noticed everything you are pointing out... you have to watch everything over for it to make sense... but i definetly found it odd jack blacked out and woke up away from the crash in the wood nonsense... can not wait till feb 2
I havent read the other comments...although i agree that Jack is key...there is no reason why he would be able to predict or expect the crash...even after crashing, he has no knowledge of how to react or what to expect.
I think this theory is the real ending of LOST!!Go to wikipedia and type DARK TOWER.Its a 7book series of stephen king. You can find in this site the names JJ Abrams,Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof.Ok next go and click on The Dark Tower VII: The Dark Tower and read how this roman series ends!!You will be impressed and it has some similaraties to LOST!!
I gotta say, this is really freakin interesting. I forgot in the first crash Jack seemed to be the only one out in the jungle (just like in the second crash) while everyone obviously was with the plane. Did he "jump" out of the plane like he and the others did during the second crash? I totally never realized this before. Good observations! Keep your theories coming!
I think this makes sense. Usually there's a really simple explanation to TV shows. Although we still don't know the reason Jack time travelled to that point. This also adds upp with how the time travellers of the second crash woke up in the middle of the jungle etc. Since this is what jake does in the first season.
i dout this is true, good thinking tho. but we see jack trying so hard to get off the island. if he was time traveling, he would of known it would of bin a waste of time
Which means the bomb going off is the reason why the plane crashes on the island. (Miles makes a comment about this theory. (that the bomb is the incident that brings them to the island). But basically my theory is the bomb flashes them to when the plane crashes rather than at the airport before they get on the plane.
I thought I thought up this theory myself..lol but if you go watch lost missing pieces #13 it shows Christian telling Vincent to go wake up Jack when he first gets on the island. and this really makes me think the eye at the end season 5 is Jack's eye.
uh how could jack time travel when he is in the same airport and on the same plane? are you saying we missed the part in between the plan breaking apart and seeing him lying on the ground?
Jack has a 'concerend' look on his face because hes wondering why a man shoved pass him being chased by the staff. He also seems shocked when the turbulance hits.
There is another clue regarding Jack and time loop: When Vincent comes out of the jungle the dog seems to like Jack as if it knows him. In Jacob's cabin is a picture of VIncent so the dog seems to travel through time too.
Another strange lyric: Charly to Claire: "First Plane Crash? I always spot the noobies... hrhr." ô_0
Irony is one of the key-elements when people write series like Lost. So it is all given in the text already I think :)
In an Interview Terry O Quinn said that the writers dont allow them to change their text when filming. I am glad to see, that I am not the only one who seeks for clues in the textlines :) Good Job man!
Though I still hope Jack will travel through time first before the whole thing starts again, because he could do the operation secretly we saw in season 1 suddenly turning out good though he did not expect to fix his later wife. I wouldnt be surprised to see the future jack operate her :)
Watching the first season again there is a scene with Locke and Kate, where Locke smiles with the orange-smile... when I watched this I thought Locke knows Kate from somewhere. Like a "haha you and me we know whats going on here dont we" smile. But then Kate looks at him sad and Locke looks down as if he knows: I am not supposed to change things here so early in the story.
Like this vid! I thought the writers would give a BIG CLUE by the little alcohol bottles: Jack receives some from the stewardes, drinks it, but later on the beach has it again... as if traveling through time. But I was wrong. He gets several from the stewardes. :)
you might be onto something.. besides, this actor is the only one who knows how the entire show ends at the moment. Maybe he has the most significant part to play, and we just won't know until the end..
good idea, specially since the writers were planning on killing Jack's character after the pilot episode. I'm glad they changed their mind. It's been a hell of a ride for 5 seasons, I can't wait to see the final season and show finale. My thoughts are all over the place. :)
You are wrong and wrong at once. The writers and producers had the story line (plot) from the begining. Time travel was and has always been the main topic of Lost, audience never guessed it in season and 1 or 2. If the show were to be cancelled in season one, no one would have found out that the it was about time travel, (time loop, manipulation ,etc) one word 4 u: "flashbacks"
mate they even said on a podcast that there was no time travel few years ago, Ive seen the interviews where they said they needed to know how many season there will be so they could write further more. Time travel has never been a main topic until season 3. Just look at it this way if they planned time travel in season one, then why wouldnt danielle remember Jin? did she forget him?? thats unlikely.
it's true they said that, also true they can't tell us everything, JJ Abrams laughed in season 1 DVD when asked about the time loop. Danielle and Jin I can't explain why she doesn't remember him yet. But there are a lot more indications that the show was going in the time travel direction. This video of Jack (from carnivalenoblesse) has plenty of signs the show's direction.
Remember the white tennis shoe lodged in a tree at the very beginning of the pilote? Why the hell the camera would zoom it in? Jack talks about his"white tennis shoes" that he put on his father's feet before flying to LA from Sydney in episode 6 season 5. But don't know how to figure this out .
YoUr theoy is quite relevant and I sense it is the one.
i agree with jack being the only one to have been on the island at the point of the first crash. It was a pretty big reveal when they returned to the island and they all blacked out. also, when he says he "took a coulple of flying lessons", it sounds to me like he's saying it sarcastically. Like, yeah i've done this a couple times. since the whole black out, it leads me to believe that the jack on the plane and the jack that wakes up on the island are not the same one timeline wise.
Really interesting theory about Jack, but throughout the whole show he's been the most sceptical character when it comes to anything supernatural etc going on, although i guess it could be a ploy by the producers or just to his "prior" knowledge of the island and his way of protecting other people.
May be Jack is a bad actor and writers are pathetic to leave behind the clues to what they didn't intend their viewers to think....

It`s nonsense!! Most of the things have other reasons... for example, the strong drinks are for his meet with Ana Lucia, remember?
Kate know the band, but they are a one-hit-wonder, not so famous to remember the members!
And of course that Jack didn`t introduce himself... you want to say "Hi, i`m Jack" in the middle of the chaos? Are you kidding?

I have a question.
If Jack is in a time loop, re-living all the experience.
Then, why did he let himself got caught by the Others in season 3?

This theory is great, and fits in with the Season 6 trailer, the bit with the eye, it's Jack's eye so this must unravel in Season 6..

I know. But often writers have a concept of their story and then place ironic elements in the text. its about the meta-level of the story.
