The vibrato depends on how much you practice it. I'm 13 and I only have been playing one year and I do wrist vibrato. But I play the violin.

vibrato should come naturally with a musician. i started on my second year of playing, arm vibrato is not difficult, wrist vibrato should come on the 3rd or 4th year, but still, saying teachers didnt teach you is not an excuse. its not like guitarists need teachers to tell them how to do pinch harmonics.

I have a Viola as well, man. It is over 100 years old, though, so a peg broke while I was tuning it. =( I decided at that point to let it be an antique, and let it rest. Thanks for posting these vids. I appreciate how real you are. Not a lot of people are themselves because they care too much of other peoples opinions.

Please don't talk so much! They won't take you seriously if you carry on bagging yourself out like that. And you'll be amazed how far I've been without a decent vibrato.

With the rhythmic passage, I suggest finding a a better part of the bow where you may have a richer sound.

Finally, play standing up! you'll be amazed at how much more you can express yourself!

Anyway, I've only just realised this competition so I think I might hop to it myself :P
