Well the fan club is well organized, but that's no excuse for not bothering to learn the harmonies of Beatles songs. Only about a few hundred million people in the world know these tunes by heart, and only roughly ten or twenty million guys with guitars are able to play easy ones like this correctly at the drop of a hat. I daresay Mishka is one of those circa 20 million, which is why it would be nice hear this again, done correctly and without sloppily missed chords. His singing voice is nice.
The actual chords of the song are quite easy compared to most Beatles tunes. This video records a practice session, not a performance. Maybe he could do it again when he is further along with learning basic chords.
By the way, we were at his show at the Orpheum in Tampa last night, and he is even better live than he is on his CD... what a great show!!! He is a special dude...
haha. you bet he's a special dude. I had the great piviledge of chillin with him for a weekend at a family reunion. I must sound like an idolizing younger cousin but I really admire what he's done. ^^
There are some closeminded people on here! The point is that he took a classic and completely made it his own... If he sounded exactly the same as the Beatles people would say it was unoriginal.... The acoustic recording makes it sound even better. I have some rare recordings on CD of Bob Marley alone in the studio with just his guitar... There were a lot of little mistakes and flat notes, but that is what made it sound perfect! That vinyl sounding recording makes it sound so nice... haters.....
come on with this man singing right here... and the beatles being the original... honestly, i dont know how you can come here and even for a second think about arguing and exchanging sad words.... just listen...
I'm allowed to think it's a bad performance. The fact that he doesn't follow the chord pattern affects the sound of melody. I don't think it's badly performed, I just don't like the musical content because of this change.
Ahhh, what a sweet surprise...love to hear your vocal range in such a poppy love tune classic ditty!!!!....you can coooo brother.....keep jammin and blessin up, 6:22, jkl, Lobster
you play the wrong chords..

Actually think Mishka does a credible job
on this song. Not ever one can sing in
the Vocal range in which the Original
Arrangement was written and performed,
thus the personal spin and adaption by
Mishka on this arrangement holds warrant.
I think before Judgement is placed on Mishka
I would hand the Guitar to anyone else and
let others hear your version first.

OK, allow me to be Mr. Simon. LOL! NO offense, but um... this just didn't work. your singing was flat, and very forced. Try again.

I don't like it.

It's a cover, the intent is to offer a "new take", I think the Fab Four would be accepting!
proflex5242 3 years ago
and if he played it exactly like the way they wrote it, youd be saying hes trying to be like The Beatles... its a good cover, just enjoy it...

I fully agree that you are entitled to thinking what you want.
The singing is what I like most about this performance.
