  • You know there is something called a yawn. snakes do it!

  • made me yawn goddammit

  • theirs aspen stuck on him

  • you sure he doesn't have a URI?? i notice a LOT of drool in his mouth...wait...this video is from 07'....this snake is probably long dead

  • dumbass its just a python yawn

  • no, pythons yawn whenever they want to yawn my ball python does it all the time

  • hes just yawning

  • yeah he is just yawning...my python does that after every mouse at least 3 times

  • @FlipnFilmz my pastel does that well at random

  • He wasn't showing you that he is hungry, if you feed him every time he yawns, that snake is going to be huge.

  • it is yawning, eaither that or he was edesting his jaw back in place after eating

  • well wen it ate it ass first it didnt so

  • my baby ball python does that after dust eating the tail

  • yawning fashoo

  • just yawning all snakes do it from time to time.

  • yawn :3

  • He is not angry. He or she probably just ate..

  • i cold make a shoop da whoop vid out of dis

  • thats a yawn, mine does it all the time :P shes lazy

  • press 3 and then 4 :)

  • This is called gaping [Gape - ing], it's used to align their jaws, stretch their mouth, prepare for shedding, and sometimes it's even in preparation for a meal (He may know you usually feed him when you come close to his tank, or something similar).

Although it's sometimes very weird how we as python owners can think something is one thing, when it's usually just a natural function of the animal.

  • @TheRealMaxor or it's yawing...... snakes do that as well

  • or he just finished eating an realigned his jaw

  • lol my snake does this all the time, chill the fuck out xD hes either yawning or re-adjusting his jaw.

  • Its just eaten, you can tell by the belly skin and the chin skin being all streached. They always yawn after eating to help re-align the jaw and for normal yawning reasons. Not telling you its hungry like angry ready to feed woma pythons can do

  • @Zambeezo what do you mean like woma's do? im very interested

  • maybe its because of that peice of bedding on his mouth did u think of that?

  • look like the poor snake is getting an RI

  • It's just a yawn..

  • It's just putting it's jaw back into place

  • The snake is opening its mouth to clear the mucus so it can breathe!!!!!! It has an RI, its not telling you its hungry you moron!!!

  • @MRpipeherdown Don't an asshole dude.

  • @AeyBeaCea. You're just as stupid as the owner of this poor ball python! I don't give a shit if im coming off as being an asshole! I've been around snakes long enough to know a yawn or the start of an RI! Fuck anyones feelings that's hurt or bothered by what I say, I only care about that poor snake!

  • @MRpipeherdown Chill out tyro. Snakes don't yawn anything like this due to respiratory infections. Wanna see why it's yawning? /watch?v=CUC7p56gxAE&NR=1

  • @CrotalusKid you're an idiot too if you don't think this is RI related, as your name states, youre just a kid and probably have alot more learning to do.

  • @MRpipeherdown Did you follow the link? Oh.... I'm 25 and have been in herpetoculture for 21 of those years. But you're definitely right, I have a lot more learning to do. Otherwise I would be bored. Try being a little more humble. :)

  • Dude its not yawning its just relocating its jaw. You cant eat food bigger then your own head with out side affects lol.

  • it looks like it has RI theres mucus in its mouth Ive dealt with plenty of snakes having RI too

  • shes yawning, my snake yawns like that.

  • this is a sign that he or she is yawning. Idiots

  • first snake?

  • lol I love how everyone is an animal vet on youtube. Its just normal ball python behavior. You know when they are hungry because they start to get active and come out and move around. Mostly though because you should have your snake on a clockwork like eating schedule. Unless you are breeding but thats another story.....

  • Agreed

  • For those of you saying that the yawn means it has RI you're wrong. BPs yawn for no particular reason and will do it even if they have not been fed recently. The more reliable signs are if you hear a clicking or whistling sound when they breathe, that is the best indicator of an RI.

  • @TrollingUTube you mean RI not RE

  • thats a sign that he has upper respitory problems. his tank might not be warm enough

  • Your snake has RE and needs to see a Vet. Why you assumed that means he's "hungwey" is beyond me. Looking at when you posted this leads me to assume this snake is dead by now. Good work.

  • It is probably yawning and it has Aspen shaving stuck in it's mouth so it's trying to get it out.

  • @Carrera6 not for sale any more XD these are animal but i put them on my dad acount before i got my acount!!!

  • i hate to say it but your snake appears to have respiratory infection symptoms. i unfortunately had a ball python myself who passed away due to a respiratory infection and your snake is showing early signs. i can tell by the video that it has a bit of mucous build up as he "yawns" with a clearish bubble going towards the back of its throat. take it to the vet and help this snake before its too late

  • all snakes do this its like a yawn or mouth streaching. One thing very important to remember if you see your snake laying around with its mouth open that could be a bad sinus infection that can kill snakes. I have a red tail Boa female she will be 3 years old this May 5th 2011

  • @MrSnakeman1970 tell your snke happy birthday for me

  • Hum... I got a corn snake, and she's doing that when she usuaually just ate to swallow more and move the food in her body before going to srink water or she's just yawning....

  • Insert dick here. 0:02

  • u my friend are mocking it so he got bored of u and yawned while he was starring at his food is moving cause of u shaking it

  • hey how long is he?

  • i bet your python is much bigger now

  • imagine cristina aguilara was wearing a real snake costume and she took it off but she had clothes and she says to a man "wats wrong man! Ur not innoncent idiot!"

  • It's disolating it's Jaw bone. It either, is abotu to eat, so It dislocates it so the mouse can fit inside it's mouth. Orr it just ate, and it's popping the jaw boen into place. But yea, That means it wants some food (:

  • wow its not hungry it was a yawn u dick fucks

  • @ballpython1995 dont comment if you have nothing nice to say!!!

  • KILL IT..... KILL THE FUCKIGN THIGN

Burn it, throw it in a fire. watch it burn and dance and rejoice

  • @shootnmove No I don't like snakes but I wouldn't want one to be hurt either

  • @MySnaz

    fuck it, let it BURNNNNNN

  • @shootnmove you should check yourself into mental institution.

  • @shootnmove what is your problem asshole??? damn trolls.

  • @shootnmove why? because its a "slimy slithery demon"? i bet it has less parasites than you

  • Actually, the reason they do that is it most likely has a piece of bark in it's mouth/throat. Most of the time it is an easy fix; just hold it's head still and grab it with a pair of tweezers :) Best not to used that kind of bedding.

  • Is that the cage its normally in?? If it is you shouldn't feed it in there.

  • thats totally a yawn

  • THAT IS A YAWN......

  • wow i agree with achmethedead

  • I hate how cute this is

  • i own a ball python and it does yawn quit a bit but it was doing that the relocate the jaw, it tends to do this while it moves its body up wards to help push the mouse down(n if u look you can see the tail of the mouse just outside the mouth)

  • @TRIPPgothic noo thats aspen

  • yawn... -_-''

  • i love readin dumbass comments off people who pretend they know what there on about, yall jus a bunch of Eherps..... the royal(ball) python has jus eaten possible a large mouse or weamer rat and its pushing the rat down you can see it when its turning its body and its re aligning its jaws when it "yawns" ¬_¬..................................

  • @bboygoldenboy Unlike most snakes, Balls do not need to realign their jaws after feeding.

  • @smoebrd99 lol i have 4 balls 1 afrucan rock a java retic a het green burm and an albino burm a green anaconda a yellow anaconda and a mexican black kingsnake(basically depending on the size of the meal they do...............)

  • @bboygoldenboy Alright. I only have one normal ball, so I respect that you're probably correct and I was misinformed.

  • @smoebrd99 that alright at least ya not an e-herp

  • umm its either yawning or just realigning his jaws lol

  • all you people are dumb she was obviously hovering the food over the cage why do you think its head was rising -_-

  • yawning...

  • lmao

  • COOL:D

  • my snake does that when hes tired great python i love all snakes.....i have a royal python two

  • aww its soo cute =D

  • when snakes do that they are:

    1) rehinging their jaws from eating...

    or...

    2) in need of medical attention because of breathing/mouth problems....

  • i took on a ball python with r.i that needed a antibiotic injection every 4 days and a feeding tube every 3 days ,and it would do this all the time, unfortunatly the original owner didnt pick up on this quickly enough and was not comftable injecting it so i took it off him (they didnt have a heat mat, thats how it got r.i to start with) unfortunatly it rapidly lost weight and dies, it was just to late

  • Or 3) Royal Pythons are known for doing that after resting in certain positions for extended periods of time, because it misaligns their lower jaw quarters (the lower jaw is capable of splitting into two quarters)

  • that python just ate, they useally do that to let the food slight furter in the body

  • @AchmetTheDeathBitch actually they do that to re-align their jaws and pop them back into place

  • @AchmetTheDeathBitch No, they do that to correct the jaw bones after dislocating them when swallowing the food.

They do that for other reasons to, But such a big 'yawn' are most often because of mentioned reason.

  • @AchmetTheDeathBitch Actually, it doesn't do that to let it settle down futher. They have to dislocate their Jaw in order to put the mouth down in their mouth, to go to their stomach. They then, afterwords, pop it back into place, and go on with their day (:

  • @AchmetTheDeathBitch Sorry I ment *Mouse down their mouth*

  • or hes telling you hes sleepy and to leave him the hell alone for a nap!

  • Royal Pythons rarely exceed five feet - small snakes.

They also live in rodent burrows - small enclosure.

Hardly anyone on youtube knows the slightest thing about snakes, just read into the mediated, extorted, exaggerated bullshit newspaper headlines.

    Educate yourselves. :)

  • bullshit

such a big snake at home in a small glasthing

    poor snake

  • mine yawns like that its sexy

  • i read books about snakes and the snake just ate something

  • Its not sick, its just locking there jaws back together after a meal. most snakes weeze when sick. neither is it yawning lol.

  • wat is weez

  • I have kept Ball Pythons for 13 years. They yawn like this every so often whether feeding or not.

However, this particular snake just ate something. Its neck is partially distended downward, and the muscles have not reset to their resting position after engulfing and swallowing a prey item. Additionally, there is bedding in the snake's mouth as some others have pointed out. The snake's jaw is also not yet aligned before the yawn.

This snake is not sick. They wheeze when they are sick.

  • @MaximumCat ummm my snake weezes sometimes.......... what should i do?

  • Make sure your enclosure is warm enough for the snake, and make sure it has access to enough water and humidity without going overboard on any of this. Keep the bedding very clean. Remove waste within 12 hours if possible, and remove any contaminated bedding when waste is deposited. Ball Pythons enjoy an enclosure around 80-86 degrees Fahrenheit on average, with a basking area around 95 degrees, and an area around 74 degrees in case the snake wants to cool off a bit.

  • Ignorant.

  • yawning so cute

  • UHM....

    One Word YAWNING!

  • obviously he JUST ate.He resetting his jaw..

  • my python does that every time after hes done swallowing his food and from the looks of the aspen hanging out of his mouth he just ate.

  • he has a piece of aspen bedding stuck in his mouth he is trying to get it out...... duh

  • if they yawn it means they have a mouth infection just thought i tell you so i dont become sick :) unless that is just after eating then its trying to swollow its food :)

  • its hungry ass hole

  • if its hungry they dont yawn you retard anyway whats the point in abusive comment when i was suggesting you prick.... and i think i know what im talking about my family has had these pets for years.

  • it doesn't mean they have a mouth infection! they just realighn their jaws

  • I think its........cute

  • Lol, omg.

Ball Pythons yawn for many reasons.

    It's usually after a feeding.

But sometimes they yawn just because he wants to yawn.

and if they do it a lot, it's because he might have a respiratory infection.

So your all right basically , lol.

  • Beautiful python, but the quality is bad.

  • blackjaxx you also are a retarded retard a python never dislocates its jaw until after constriction..

  • hAHAHAHAAA you dumb ass. My python yawns every once in a while when resting in my palm. That's a YAWN not a hunger sign!

  • NO ALL OF YOU ARE FUCKING RETARDS HES YAWNING TO GET THE MOUSES TAIL DOWN HIS Throat!

  • actually YOU are the retard! do your research mate hes doing that because hes probably dislocated his jaw to eat.

its common knowledge that pythons will dislocate then yawn afterwards to relocate thier jaw

  • its yawning.... retard

  • your python tells you when its tired, dude

  • handsome phyt. btw there are many retarded people here.

  • my python yawns like that and then it goes in its hide and goes to sleep. lazy lil bastard lol

  • haha same with mine. hes just yawning

  • umm ya my bp does that it means its gasping for air because it probly has a respitory infecion. read it in a book :)

  • sometimes they do it for no reason
