Not a rifle. A smoothbore musket, a shotgun. I can fire a .62 Caliber round ball or shot. That's why I love it, I can take it deer hunting as well as squirrel hunting. Dangerous to the eyes? Potentially, just don't stand next to someone when they are firing, as a shooter, I have never had a problem.
