you dont want a president whos going to shift their views and say anything to get elected. hey, remember in 2007 when obama said he was going to bring our troops home and change our global image?
When I was still a Democrat I actually used to like this dickhead. So glad Ron Paul woke my ass up to Libertarian views!
Ron Paul 2012! And good luck to all the Libertarian-leaning Republicans running in 2010...Rand Paul, Peter Schiff, Adam Kokesh, BJ Lawson, Chris Simcox, RJ Harris, Jake Towne, Earl Sholley, John Dennis, Mike Vasovski, etc. Restore America...neo-Cons and Democrats are two sides of the same coin. Vote their asses out! Tell them, "You're fired!"
He says,"spending a trillion dollars over there (Iraq) where we could be spending that at home." Doesn't he mean "spending a trillion dollars over there where we could be spending that in Afghanistan"? oh wait, and bailouts, and stimulus, and healthcare. Isn't that a little over a trillion? Oh yeah, and we're still in Iraq.
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!1 We have a Democratic President and we are still Iraq. Does partisan politics change the issues in this country? Apparantly not. republican or democrat the status quo remains.
Oh, how wrong you have been Howard. To the Dems: You really thought your party was going to take the troops out of the Middle East as soon as they won the election? Looks like they are no more different from the neocons when it comes to foreign policy... and the Patriot Act, fiscal responsibility, and transparency. Nope. Once again, you have been duped by the puppet masters and they're laughing it up all the way to the bank. Open your eyes to the big fraud: END THE FED
And the "Republicans" Dean mentions .. McCain, Guiliani and them - not Ron Paul - they are not true Republicans in any way in terms of the classic sense. Ron Paul IS. So when Dean criticizes "Republicans" he really means the Neocon Republicans" But u know .. Dem's have Neocons too. Again Left-Right really does not exist. Thats a fact. I don't think in terms of it because I know it's not there.
Thats cool that he acknowledges RP. I think the left-paradigm however is an illusion since they both essentially support each other. True - the Dem's took the house and had a mandate to get us out of Iraq and they did not. Obama seems to be expanding upon Bushes policies. He hasn't repealed the Patriot Act nor Fisa ..why not? He's also continuing in Afganastan in trying to "police the world" Jefferson said it best
I like both Dean and Paul...Dean was the guy that came out strongly against the corporations, war and Patriot Act during the 2004 elections. He became the chairman of the DNC...I wonder how he feels now after campaigning for the Dems that chief of staff position in Obama's cabinet went to pro-war hawk Rahm Emanuel(Dean thought he'd have the President's ear). Maybe now he wishes he endorsed Ron Paul. None the less go Paul, Dean, McKinney, Nader, and Kucinich for speaking the truth!
Ron Paul is against the war and wants out as soon as possible!
The other "media favorites" candidates beat around the bush and at first evaded the subject concerning our countries economy and what their plans were to help to correct it.
Ron Paul showed right away that the falling economy was one of his greatest concerns. One of the solutions was to get out of the war because our country is broke and cannot afford it.
Man I Love Ron Paul!!! I'm going Ind. So sick of the Hillary's and the Barack's they are still not in the mainstream of what we the people really need. I cant take it anymore there still not listening to us!!! We need a Ron or Dennis in the WHITE HOUSE I want both. Hill NO!!!!!! As for Bill I used to love him but he's been away to long and is now stale how dare he say that the Ron Paul people are crazy!!! for believing that 911 was an inside job!!! That pissed me off.
The truth is that the Democrats remain the party of foreign intervention. It started with Woodrow Wilson and they have been getting us into wars ever since. The Democratic philosophy is still that the U.S. should use it's strength to fix the problems in the world. Without that mentality in our country we would never have to worry about Iraq, Vietnam, Korea, and what the next president will probably get us into, Darfur.
Yeah, if I thought Kucinich had a chance, I might even vote for him, but you have to admit, it would be a wonderful world if we had to chose between Ron Paul or Dennis Kucinich. (Yes, I'll be voting in the Michigan primaries for Ron Paul.)
that fucking bill the dems sent bush gave him funding for the war(no strings attached) and contained a shitload of earmarks. how are they any different from the republicans?

Yes, Howard Dean, the Democrats have done something. Democrats continued to waste money both here and abroad. "Healthcare for kids" is a waste of money. "Help for middle-class college students" is a waste of money. If the government would quit paying tuitions for students the tuitions would come down because there wouldn't be a gov't. bailout.
You will see more and more of these chameleons start parroting Ron Paul. He is so full of it. Nixon was elected to end the Vietnam war. It was a democrat that got us into it.
discussions like this promote an "us-vs.-them" mentality. don't vote for someone based solely on their party. look at how each candidate stands on each issue and make an educated decision.
i've been a registered democrat, but this round i'm behind ron paul!!
Howard is a fool. He has power, he knows how to raise money. He lacks a brain to run for presidency this election. 2004 bid was doomed due to the 'terrorist fear', right now he would get majority of America. Oh, well, shortsighted people aren't smart, even though they have good positions. Still Like Dean.
The only candidates who will get us out of Iraq are Paul, Kuchinich and Gravel. Only Paul has a chance. Do you really trust Obama, or miss attack Iran, Hillary?

He's a member of the CFR. Look at who else are members and that will give you reason to not trust him. In other words, he belongs to the same organization as our current President and Vice President. Only Ron Paul and Kucinich do not belong to that organization.
Amazing how Obamas been missing senate votes that would require a stance and hence polarize voters. Obama wants to sit down with Republicans and Corporations to "listen to their needs." Who do you think been running the country for 7 years? Obama's either incompetent or a shill. Ron Paul needs our help! Remember what the media and the Democratic establishment did to Dean! These people care about their careers than the good of the country!
Where is Howard Dean getting this idea that the democrats will get us out of Iraq? They've had ample opportunity and failed. None of the democratic candidates has ever committed to it and without flip flopping. The only two candidates that HAVE committed immediate removal are Dennis Kuccinich and Ron Paul.
Yeah, that's a pretty bad generalization. Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate who will get us out in a timely matter, not only from Iraq but from around the world. No other candidate can claim that. God help Ron Paul win this nomination!
Democrats will get the troops out of Iraq.....in the year 2013. Ron Paul will bring them home in 2008-09 as soon as possible. Dems want you to think they oppose war as they continue to fund it!
Deanis dreming. Obama and Clinton didn't even swear there wouldn't be any troops in Iraq by 2013. WTF? 5 years to pull out isn't enough time??? If Obama or Clinton are against the war so are Giuliani or Romney. They just want the troops out by 2050.
I like Howard Dean and would have voted for him back when. But he is clearly playing the party line here.
The Democrats have had chance after chance after chance after chance to end the war and they just won't or can't do it.
My time, money and vote are for Ron Paul. The ONLY 2008 candidate who has promised to end the war AND has the record to back up anything he pledges to do.
I love Ron Paul's message and I find the man inspiring.
Is the republicans doing for all the spending???.....hahahahahaha....congress is dominated by the Democrats and they just pass a 70billing bill to fund the war....hahahahahaha...about Democrats wanting the war over yeah just two of them. Gravel and kucinich.
Most of the democratic candidates want to keep our troops in Iraq untill atleast 2013. We will be bankrupt by then. Ron Paul wants the troops to come home RIGHT NOW.
The only candidate with honesty and integrity is Ron Paul. They know it, they just won't acknowledge it. They have their careers built around something different.
When people compare Ron Paul to Howard Dean they are mad. This guy just seems like a regular politician. Ron Paul is a completely unique, humble and honest man who REALLY cares about the people.
Almost none of the Democrats have promised to get us out of Iraq in their first term. The top tier candidates will keep troops there forever in the dozen permanent bases we are building in Iraq. Howard Dean is a lying piece of garbage. How are we supposed to pay for health care for kids when the Democrats keep funding a war that is already bankrupting us?
Democrats are wonderful and great and republicans are evil and want to destroy american and take away health care from children and babies, and give the money to oil company CEO's.
Non-sense, Hillary (d) vs. Ron (r) Dean thinks Hillary is better on the war issue because there is a d after her name, simplistic and moronic.
Tim Russert asked the candidates whether they would commit to withdrawing from Iraq by the end of their first term, 2013. And none of the "top tier" candidates would commit to that.
Which means they could conceivably continue the war into their second term if they see fit.
that's not true about democrats wanting out of iraq. they want permanent bases, and a permanent occupation held by 30,000 troops. many of them don't rule out spreading the war into iran. check your facts, dean. the same foreign policy think-tanks advise both parties. you're deluding yourself if you put your face in the democrats. (vote ron paul!)
"They are spending 1 trillion in Iraq, when we can be spending it at home"
Or 3rd option, you could just not be spending it and lower taxes! Its not your money!
One of the biggest things I'm scared of is that after the Iraq war is over, they will continue to spend the same amount, just somewhere else. They won't just cut funding altogether.
Wow. Comparisons of Ron Paul to this guy are way off. He is as plastic (philosophically) as Romney. How uninspiring. More politics and partisan bickering. What a terrible waste.
looks like mentioning RP was a slip of the tongue!
he didn't mention that none of the dems would commit to ending the war before 2013 or that Ron Paul is committed to ending the war immediately and not starting a war with iran!

Only Ron Paul WANTS to end the war now.

that's not true about democrats wanting out of iraq. they want permanent bases, and a permanent occupation held by 30,000 troops. many of them don't rule out spreading the war into iran. check your facts, dean. the same foreign policy think-tanks advise both parties. you're deluding yourself if you put your face in the democrats. (vote ron paul!)

I don't remember any Democrat saying they would bring the troops home.

The Democratic candidates want us in Iraq just as much as the Republicans do. What is he talking about?

Wow. Comparisons of Ron Paul to this guy are way off. He is as plastic (philosophically) as Romney. How uninspiring. More politics and partisan bickering. What a terrible waste.

Difference between Ron Paul and Democrats:
Limited Govt Vs. Still Big Government.
Start owning those Obama fans, mates.

howard dean didn't talk about Ron Paul's views, but if he did, his party would have destroyed him.

That's why the title says "mentions" and not "discusses" :)

looks like mentioning RP was a slip of the tongue!
he didn't mention that none of the dems would commit to ending the war before 2013 or that Ron Paul is committed to ending the war immediately and not starting a war with iran!
