I wasn't a child when this was around, my parents bought me a dvd of it for christmas and I love it! I much prefer this to all the rubbish on tv now!!
When I watched this at the time I thought Dora was a real drama queen, all I remember was her crying and moaning 'Oh Steve' every five minutes! But didn't we all fancy Steve too????!!! I can't wait to watch this old classic on DVD. Thanks for posting, happy memories of better days. If only we could turn the clock back to that era x
Was kind of an Emmerdale for a younger audience. Great stuff. A reasonably well-written drama, even for those days.
Was this really 35 - 40yrs ago? That is terrible !!
But, let's be honest friends, we didn't really watch it for the farm stuff .... it was Steve Hodson's big dark eyes that we fell for. What a handsome fella !
@mountfields gillian may be 61 but in my minds eye she will always be sweet 18 (well I know she was older in follyfoot but hey ho I will love her character forevever)
@mountfields Eeek!! Happens to us all, I guess. It was quite sweet, the tension between her and Steve because it was done in a polite way. No overt displays of sexuality that one sees in kids shows today. I mean, even the wholesome one's still come across more worldly than they should be for their age.
used to love watching this as a kid, in germany ! Ron was sexy and dora had great hair ! That was the england i fell in love with, sadly it's only a shadow of it's former self now, tv is specially crap !!! Used to love catweazle too and another series called thursday's child. Anyone remember that one ?
I loved Follyfoot ,but I also liked Flambards ,now which one was the best ,Follyfoot or Flambards,,,,,there's only one way to find out ,,,,Fight ,,,,,Join me on facebook -Follyfoot v Flambards .
@2pikeman Too true brother! I live in USA and consequently watch NO TV.... just YT and rent old movies... sadly, it's always about the money... when money rules, everything turns to shite, not just production values. As for turning back the clock, well, it's easy as long as one retains their memories. Might seem somewhat nebulous, but a good memory is worth 100,000 lame TV shows. Just my opinion here......
This was a smashing series,superbly written,brilliantly acted and a reminder of simpler times.They dont make tv like this anymore so thank goodness the entire series was released on dvd.Gillian Blake was wonderful as were the rest of the cast...truly a quality show.

@kazluvsfolly
So do many others.
I looked a bit like Steve at the time, frightening to think this is nearly 40 years old.
Checked out quite a few of the music you tube sites on this and all are good.
A grown man and (probably like others) still adore the adorable Dora. Where has the time gone?

No, it's not 40 years - it's only yesterday...
