The lighting depends on the law in the state in which the dept. is registered. Some states allow red and blue, others just blue. White/black cars are almost never used for highwat patrol--they are far more common in big cities (LAPD, FWPD, MGPD, SBCSD).
@SizilianoMafiosi the black and white isnt used to much these days anymore. different states use different paint schemes. new york state police have blue cars with gold letters. and our STATE law prohibits blue lights from police vehicals unless its 1 or 2 lights faceing the REAR only. blue is reserved specificly for VOLENTEER firefighters in this state. some southern states disallow red on there police vehicals. and only use blue and white bars. only metro cops in SOME citys still use

and i always thought usa HIGHWAY PATROL have black-white cars...
