Hi Carla! THANK YOU so much for doing this. We are fanx.com and all about THANKYOUS but we're also FB friends (I'm Louise from Sprinkleofglitter- Marie Bitsandclips is my chum, but I work for Fanx...oooff long winded there- I wanted you to know I'm not a weirdo spammer hahah). Anyhooo, thank you very much for making this video, it's super helpful because I make such a hash of packing for Darcy/Baby Glitter! xxxx
I have to say.. I have no real reason to watch your videos.. my kids are already older, girl 11, boy 15.. but for some odd reason I'm ADDICTED! I do plan on having one more child (I had my kids young, @16 &19), I'm now 32, engaged to be married in a few months, and soon after that, God willing, kid #3 will be conceived. So even though I already know the ins and outs of baby raising, I tell myself that's the reason I was your videos religiously :)
Ella falls asleep well in the car seat too and we thought about leaving at 9 at night on our trip to disneyworld but we've decided to leave at 4 am. Its 12 hour drive so hopefully for the first 6 hrs she will sleep bc she is a late sleeper.
Which carseat do you have again? Did you make a video on it recently? I couldn't seem to find it, but I didn't have a lot of time to look either. I am just about to transfer my daughter to a convertible car seat and we are looking for a good one!
Even though I'm no longer a subscriber, I still watch/love your videos! Did Mary PeskyPCOS see this? I think she needs help for roadtrippin' with Irving...
we moved from ohio to arizona, and our daughter was 7 months and it was 2,100 miles, it took us about 4-5 days to get here, it helps she slept alot in the car but we got a hotel to break the trip out
My husband always complains I over pack when we go away. We recently went for an overnight trip so I only packed one outfit of the older kids (4 & 5 yr old) and of course that wasnt enough. The got spills on their clothes and we ended up wearing dirty clothes home URGG
i have the same prob when my bf drives.mostly bc(since i told him all the time- STOP being distracted!!) he did one day, and we got in an accident.(no worries... we didnt harm others or ourself) the car seemed to swing left and right out of control for ages!i was so afraid, yet focused on the road-pleasing the car to just GO STRAIGHT!Windows were smashed.I was so scared afterwards and i try not to get into a car with him.Sad,but true.If i am,i am AWAKE and im the 6th eye!I have bad dreams too! :(
We are going to Disneyworld in September Ella will be 2 1/2 at this time and I'm super nervous about how she will do in the car for 12 hrs! We are going to leave around 4am so we will have some time before she is up and awake. Hopefully this will help us!
I totally have a video request. What kinds of things do you do on the days when you are off and with Hannah all day? What activities do you do to keep her from being bored? How do you get things done? What do you do when she just wants to be held (if that happens)? Does she have a schedule, or do you go with the flow? interested in things along these lines. Thanks :)
Thanks for this vid. We're about to take a trip from Texas up to South Dakota and honestly, I'm freaking out inside my head trying to figure out how to make it as easy as possible.
You are so organized! When we drove AK to NC we just brought clothes &diaper supplies & music Lol. But my son was 7wks so a lot easier! Very helpful video for the future though :) My son does the same thing with his cupholders and puffs Lol he now expects them every time we get in the car.
@MyLifeMyStoryMe We have a Mazda CX7 and everything fit fine. (and I WAY overpacked) Once there are two carseats in the back, my strategies for entertained and tending to them will have to change and because of that the lengths we spend on the road each day will probably dimenish, but with just 1 carseat in the back, we all fit nicely.
