You dont know shit about trucks... Air brakes dont come on if the motors not running.... The motor builds up the air via the air compressor to 120psi then shuts off.... No more need for the motor.... They have there own system. As long as there is air in the cylinders the brakes will remain unlocked until the air is taking away from the chambers. Hence making the brakes apply....

Just as a reminder,the trucks engine is running,because the air pump for the brakes wouldnt work and the wheels would lock up if the engine wouldnt run.

The only thing I don't like about pulling wheeled vehicles is that once you get a start, its easier to keep them going. There's a video on youtube(I think) of two guys pulling a tank. Strength wise it makes more sense because you have constant gear tension that you're working against and you're not getting cut slack with the wheels rolling.
