And speaking of that, I got the 12" single at Goodwill today, but it's not the original version, it was a version done by Rick Summer, and this is not a promo or a stock copy, but it's a test pressing which is ultra rare. I have never saw a test pressing of Rick Summer's "Born to Be Alive" when I saw it at Goodwill earlier today. I hope "RugbyFootballer" would get a kick out of this one. I'll post it later.
KSFX, Disco 104, I remember that old call from San Francisco until it pulled the plug. It played great songs like this including 'Have a Cigar' and "Dancer'.
@Darren50001 ha, I still think I have an old aircheck from "Disco 104" back in May of 1979. The DJ was "Marcos". Some of the songs I recall on the aircheck is "I've Got The Next Dance" and "Let Me Take You Dancing"
By any chance did you work or go to any disco's back in the day, in San Fransico ????
I not only saw the birth of disco, but was able to work in one of the best disco's in the city.....The Dj was great and even made me take home tapes I still have today....
This music was, is and always will be classic....Dance on....
@VinylReelToReel I have two turntables next to one another. Each one with a different Ortofon cartridge. I generally use the other turntable most often.
@vinyl12s I have the Gemsound turntable which I'm using it rarely, and my General Electric Wildcat stereo record player, but on my Wildcat, it has an original GE C660 ceramic cartridge and a airplane shaped stylus for LP/45 only not on a 78. On top of the tonearm, it has the GE emblem.
RIP DJ Danae Jacovidis.

This video features a lost beautiful art; back when music was enjoyable to watch, as well as listen. Great tune too!!
