  • You are the best man,all the best in further inventions ! Greetings from Serbia !

  • Nothin like German engineering!

You can make a bit of cash by selling bluprints friend. I will buy a print.

  • You really are the Browning of elastic powered weapons.

  • @svensken98 The black type (butyl) sucks, the latex type works a little better. But Thera Band outperforms inner tubing by a great deal.

  • @TheLecker1 Nee, passt schon.

  • Very nice tutorial.. Thanks

  • holly shit thats bad ass

  • What is the draw length about of this sling shot?

  • i think this is amazing, making quite a complex bit of kit out of the materials used id like to make one of these but you dont mention what rubber to use, how long it needs to be and the distance between the "ramp" cut out and the stop (where the rubber band reaches its peak) i would appreciate if you could send me the above info im still blown away how effective this is well done !!!!!! and thanx in advance

  • Hi, you mentioned using multiplex for the Y-frame. Is it dangerous if I use some other type of wood that i got from Home-Fix Hardware Store?

  • it turned 12:00 at 8:07 ahahaha :P

  • Germans always make good stuff, you follow me camera guy?

  • @MrROTD I was about to say something witty about German engineering perfection and efficiency haha. This video confirms they are all engineers at heart. :)

  • wow.... it's good...

  • how long is the barrel?

  • See! It's videos like this that will eventually lead to World War III. Germans just can't play nice wiz zer toyz! )Awesome video, by-the-way)

  • Did you use Thera-Band Gold for this slingshot, and do you always use Thera-Band for your creations?

  • mach doch mal ein deutsches video...bitte

  • I've been building something very similar to this. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THE TUTORIAL!!! keep em comin ill keep em buildin

Du machst ne echt gute Arbeit, weiter so!

  • where can i find the rubber bands ? the only bands that i see are the rounded ones used for the hunting slingshots.

  • 2:54 thats what she didn't say

  • 1:17 i need one

  • What are the two thickness' of multiplex you use?

  • hammer gemacht ne geile idee

  • Do u sell the rubber

  • He looks so happy at the end :D he actually shakes a bit

'"I taught people how to kill things!"

  • this guy is a Genius

  • hahahaha stupid zombies come for me now

  • Hey can you put in the description on what items or things we need to make this Sling_X_Bow?

  • 3 people can't make these stuffs!.But 467 can!

  • u can kill some1 with that .....

  • I think your inventions are amazing and work really well but also I'm a slingshot fanatic so I might try and make one of your creations. How much are the tools that you used to make the bone crusher slingshot.

  • hahaha awsome.

  • i built one but made the pouch much bigger, used very high, grade rubber, and made the stock longer. then i putted lots of bbs in the pouch, makes a great shot gun, good with airsoft bbs for airsoft too.

  • your accent fits your hobby....

  • hmm, Making this in aluminum and some steel parts would make for a perhaps even more durable slingshot:)

  • the day the kids run around with theese, I'll equip my kevlar!

  • please can you give me details of a site to where you got the rubber band thanks

  • please can you give me details o a sit to where you got the rubber band thanks

  • 2 people are wimps and cant pull back a lil rubber band

  • Hi! What kind of rubber do you use for these "slingguns"?:) Pls give me some tipps where can i get some like yours! Thx!

  • no wonder they lost the war...ghey.

  • wooooooo i have a feeling tha i will make one!!!

  • Wow amazing and smart!

  • Cool

  • It would be a good idea to put a fat dowel piece in front of your cocking grip so that when you cock it, somehow the y shaped thing could come bouncing back and break all your fingers.

  • @RockHardLiving First, there is a dowel. Second, friction makes sure that the Y shaped fork won't move at all. This is very safe.

  • @JoergSprave Ohh ok thanks :D I am thinking of making one of these models. May I copy you?

  • ahahaha id be scared of the stem not holding the sling shot under that pressure and hitting me in the fact

  • @oud25 Weapons are not for whimps, no matter what type of weapon. If it is dangerous for your enemies, it is dangerous for you too. You have to be careful.

  • @JoergSprave i didnt say they were for whimps i just would want something more sturdy than a thin piece of wood holding a several pound band.

  • @oud25 Well, see if you can break the piece of wood with your hands. If you can't, then there is no chance you can break it by using it as a slingshot barrel. Remember the power always comes from your arms, the rubber just converts it. I put very heavy bands on this model, the heaviest that make any sense. No signs of weakness.

  • @JoergSprave just saying i think id prefer a piece of pipe with a latch

    Tolles Video, tolle Idee!!

  • @JoergSprave whats the time lapse and cost of this project, btw love our accent and show. do you know how to play jass?

  • @oud25 He's using hardwood. Notice the - - - - in the grain?

  • JoergSprave: Ich habe mich gestern abgetrochnen

  • Great video, it's rare to find homemade bows/slings on youtube that look like they last more then 5 shots. Schon !

  • man this would really hurt if something snapped when you were loading it.

  • @furious41196 Yes. Kind of.

  • Fred Flinstone would be proud!

  • holy shit at 1:13

  • You could also make a less strong model, for people with dogs, on the park!

Imagine the fun, for man and dog:

Throwing a dog-toy rubber ball the mutt would run the entire park length, just to get it back... Lots more exercise for each throw.

  • capital! with a little modification, this could probably shoot bolts as well.

  • how long is the barrel??

  • you are awesome man!! i wanna make my own , but theres one thing that pisses me off, were the hell do i get plywood that thick!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i subbed to u subb back plz! :-)

  • I was thinking of a "bullpup" design,so this can be shorter and stronger, but, hey, this is already AWESOME!

  • @MrEinstain I have a bullpup version of it, just search through my videos.

  • Mr. Joerg, your skills and ideas are awesome!

Keep up the good work, your channel rules!! :))

  • from where do you buy rubber? i.m from romania

  • i took the slingshot peice of what i downloaded and made a slingshot out of it :-)

  • how you uses like ammo?

  • JOERG!!! You are a living legend. How could you make that..I am currently working on it with my dad and and now its alot easier since we watched your video. HERO JOERG. I look up to you!

  • genius!! a pleasure to watch! will make one myself :)

  • man, you are my new hero!!!

  • you kinda sound like arnould shwarrzenegga (sorry if i spelt it wrong)

  • Go for a coffee with beautiful girls naneedj.info

  • Man, you're good. Happy you wasn't born before and haven't fought in the WW II. :)

  • hehe you said "ball in the pouch" and "cock" :P

  • Whose the ONE jerk who dislikes this video?

  • @AKx4 how could anyone dislike this guy ! he's so freaking happy !

  • i have concerns over the type of timber being used, but overall i am glad to see you using multiplex, i call it plywood here in Australia. The advantages of the steel framed model are clearer, but I would have liked to see a comparison on the balistic gel with both wood and steel versions.

What is most intriguing here is your trigger system. i admire the use of cylinders to allow an easy and smooth transitional cross-over of energy. I only advise more robust materials for the trigger mechanism.

  • WOW !! It's just like the rifles the used on The Flintstone cartoons !! Amazing do-it-yourself...can't call this a toy....backyard artillery piece?

  • Joerg, what's the effective range?

  • Win. That's all I say. Win.

  • Gotta love that German engineering ;)

  • Where do you buy your rubber from. I am in Deutschland, is that where your from too?

  • @flyod26 Yes. And I buy my rubber on ebay, search for "Thera Band".

  • @flyod26 Deutschland, eh? Orale! I want to go visit there. I hear German girls are the best =)

  • 0:28 "Let me show you how to load it." Now that is a manly line. xD

  • 2:55 that's what she said. :D

but seriously, awesome vid. thanx 4 posting it

  • nice tut but not joergs design. google image search slingshot rifle and click on the second image in the second row. that website was made years before this channel

  • @lemming124 My slingshot rifle has a sliding fork and a true lock and trigger mechanism. Earlier weapons were just slingshots on a stick.

  • Comment removed

  • @JoergSprave no. the one that I saw had the same trigger mech as yours, a sliding fork and a proper locking mech for the fork. I just checked the website and he accredited it to Eingesellt Von from germany.

  • @lemming124 Pm me the link and I will take a look.

  • Comment removed

  • you should try to put these on the market you'd make a million buddy =] =] great vidieo

  • how long did it take you to make it?

  • extremely innovative, i enjoy all of your vids!

  • lmao...this thing has the destruction of a 9mm....just depends on how long it maintains it's (ball) velocity...very impressive good sir...i still don't think i would trade in my ruger for one...next build idea...semi-auto slingbow!

  • sorry again last question how much will makeing this cost

  • what would be the best wood to use and what would be the best rubber to use with out the wood starting to bend, please reply thx joerg

  • Joerg what would be the best wood to make this out of and where to you get the rubber stuff.

  • wow thats looks like it shoots stronger than a 22 short

  • German engineering, you know those guys make good stuff.

  • Nice slingshot-gun! Im also very surprised you dont have that very strong german accent while speaking english!

  • ingenious! - what do you use for ammunition?

  • If there was a zombie apocalypse......joerg would definetly be 1 of the survivors, thumbs up if you agree

  • @Impact2us Thumbs down because you said thumbs up.

  • @Peppsism thanks :P

  • @Impact2us Thumbs up because you said thanks. I wasn't expecting that! You're alright :)

  • @Peppsism lol

  • what camera is that the hispeed one

  • @Huffdev Casio EX-F1 Pro.

  • "These are da toolz we gunna need" the accent is so epic

  • What is the accuracy of it?

  • hey, that is a neat sling crossbow-----you've got many good ideas involving slingshots--makes me want to experiment and make some new designs also---I've made a couple simple type slingshots but yours are neater by far--ha! Kee up the good work

  • where do you get the rubber?

  • lebst du in deutschland?

  • 1:34 Are you pulling your stomach in?

  • @TheFinlandnator No, I push it out in all the other scenes... :-)

  • @parrotguy101 Sorry, I don't sell., It is just a hobby.

  • I think by adding pedals to the "slingshot" part of the crossbow, you could probably make it considerably stronger. Just push your foot against the pedal and pull the crossbow towards you?

Also, along with traditional crossbow designs, a windlass could also increase the tension of the rubber tubing, giving it more penetrative force.

  • @iChayce No. Rubber has an inherent speed limit that can't be exceeded. A windlass operated sling-x-bow would only bring more energy if you use very heavy ammo. For steel and lead balls up to .75" (19mm), no such pedal or windlass is needed, stronger rubber would NOT make the shot significantly faster.

  • powerful much? what kind of rubber you use?

  • Germans are genius seriously that's so well engineered, i work at a builders merchants and ooo boy am i gonna have some fun making this :)

  • Nice!!

  • kool

  • you are so awesome and i frickin love you haha :)

  • subscribe purely for the sheer levels of awesome just pouring out of this video. time to go watch all the other slingshot videos!

  • Gold finger he the one with the Midas touch

Do you expect me to talk no Mr bond I expect you to....... Make a bonecrushing Sling-X-Bow at home

  • PHANTASTISCH!

  • thats realy nice

  • This is the best homemade weapon ever!

  • @JoergSprave What is the rubber material called and where does one get it?

  • Excellent vid! I would like to make one of these.

  • 4.50 Cue Christopher Reeves hand model!

  • how many feet long should the square rod should be. Also how many layers of thera band gold. Thanks Joerg

  • i think a gun will be just fine

  • @masonskip808 So you can make a reliable gun at home, for 10 dollars? Respect.

  • @JoergSprave making the trigger release mechanism reliable, and safe, must be very difficult. I would be scared of it breaking! as its only wood, it dosent warn you by bending before it breaks like metal does. Nice work!

  • @masonskip808 Childspeak. i have many firearms, i never refer to them a guns. That tells me something of the poster. Anyway, though i have firearms, i also appreciate and use slingshots, which joerg is an expert at, bows and knives. Each has their own purpose. i can use my slingshot in the park and back yard. i cannot use my firearms. Thanks joerge for the video and your many others.

  • @masonskip808 "i think a gun will be just fine."

Hi!! This is my good friend 'subject'.

I don't believe you have met.

    Try staying with him.

  • is it consitered a wepoin

  • @topgunner16 What exactly is a "wepoin", please? :-)

  • what ball what hit the bone wheres the ball

  • Wow, that crossbow is so strong you might as well let the army buy it off you to practice in shooting ranges... that thing can kill :O

  • smart guy you can tell not only from his crossbows (smart people think alike)

  • once i saw this video i knew i wanted to make one and i did it looks amazing but im having a hard time finding the rubberbands or rubber that you use as the force of the rifle. where can i find this product so i can complete my rifle..thanks

  • @MrSkittleman56 Go to ebay and search for Thera band Gold, Roll Cutter and Steel Ruler.

  • @JoergSprave cool thanks...oh do you know if i can find some smaller amount of the rubber that i can buy..i really don't need much

  • The smallest package contains 1,7 m of the stuff, enough for 9 band sets. A band set will last between 50 and 200 shots (depending on how far you pull it out and how good your cutting skills are). So yes, you do need a bit of the stuff.

  • is this band extra light risestant and made of latex?

  • hey you should make one that can take out tanks LOL.

  • you're the coolest man alive

    props from Canada.

  • very cool

  • you sound kinda like arnold swatseneger

  • Very nice video, informative and helpful. I helped my little brother make this and he loves it.
