I know what you are saying is true, but I can't help but get frustrated when I hear it. I have been seeking the Holy Ghost for years and have never received it. I've repented and been baptized in Jesus name and still haven't received it. I feel like God should have written an entire "How to" guide on receiving the Holy Ghost. The Bible is great at telling you what to do but not at telling you how to do it. Not everyone can just intuitively tap into it as seems to be the case for so many others.
BroSteve. BIG AMEN!!! Don't waste your time with the "unbeliever' who think that "loving the lord with all their heart" are save. They don't understand that they have to Love and Do HIS Word in order to be born again. Keep on preaching. Tongues edify, build and by pass the enemy. Yeah...Thank God. I am born of the Spirit.
I would appreciate your comments on my videos - I hope you can modify your views somewhat after reading. I was a pentecostal for 18 years - no more. I can see you have quite a number of important facts wrong.
@TonguesDoctrine If you are telling the truth, then God compares you to a dog eating its own vomit.
2Pet 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
2Pet 2:22 But it is happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.
@TurnToJesus1 It is rare when such a one repents. It is a dangerous game to play, however.
Heb 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, Heb 6:5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, Heb 6:6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.
Good sermon. The parable of the 10 virgins distinguishes between those who have the oil of the Holy Spirit and those who do not. All the virgins have lamps, but only the wise virgins have the fire necessary to light their lamps and meet their Bridegroom. Many christians will have to endure the trials of Tribulation during Daniel's 70th week for failing to failure to receive the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
I Appreciate your teaching on the Gift of Speaking and Praying in New Tongues but I have a check in my spirit on something you teach. I had it about a year ago when I visited here and I am writing something now. I will post a few of the verses I use when witnessing to seekers that I have learned over the past 40 plus years as a Believer.
The Seed of the Word Logos is Jesus? Jesus Has the Spirit of Yahweh living inside of Him? John 17:21 The Spirit of Yahweh lives in Us too! See Matt 10:20?
Col 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
Col 2:9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
Col 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
1Tim 3:16 And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.
Therefore, We have the Gift of God's Spirit in Us when we Receive His Word?New Tongues, and Other Gifts of His Spirit are the Manifestations of the One Living in Us?
I do agree with you that New Tongues is the initial sign of being Filled with the Spirit of God.The SEED of His Word is Watered by His Spirit?
All of the other Manifestations seem to flow thru this particular Gift because the purpose of New Tongues is to EDIFY ourselves? The Greek means to Educate, Teach and Energize ourselves?;-)
@Ash, Also, how long after the Day of Pentecost, do we have proof of anyone speaking in tongues of (either) kind??? Thank you for your time. I am sincere in wanting to know.
Please Search for Early Church Fathers, Justin Martyr, Polycarp, etc. in their writings I personally have read that it says, "We still cast out devils, speak in New Tongues and lay hands on the sick today just like in the days of the Apostles."(Paraphrased from Memory) The New Tongues were definitely in the Paragraphs.;-)
You know this comment really touched my heart. Just to try to fathom the ignorance of the false-christians as they are led into the lake of fire by their filthy false preachers. How can people be so stupid???

Two times BEFORE their Baptism in Water (Acts 9:17-18; 10:44-48)
AND Four times AFTER their Baptism in Water (Acts 2:1-4; 2:38-39; 8:5-24; 19:1-7)
In Acts 9:17-18, the Apostle Paul and the Believers In Acts 10:44-48, are Baptized with the Holy Spirit BEFORE they are Baptized in water. Cont:
ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39 For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.
So according to you, I am not saved, because I do not speak in tongues. Yet I love the Lord with all my heart, my greatest desire is to deny myself and follow my Lord Jesus Christ.
No, not according to me, but according to the Word of God. Most false-christians make the same empty claims that you do.
Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
What part of "none of his" do you not understand?
Matt 15:8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
If you listen to what BroSteveWinter wrote, you would definitely know which side he is walking with. The gifts of the spirit are many and not just speaking in tongues; wisdom is one of them too.
Also, most of the best and most soundest preachers throughout history never spoke in tongues??? Preachers like Surgeon and Pink who taught accurately right down the line?
Also, how long after the Day of Pentecost, do we have proof of anyone speaking in tongues of (either) kind ??? Thank you for your time. I am sincere in wanting to know.
No, those you mention are fakes who were only deceiving souls into hell.
2Cor 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 2Cor 11:15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.
1John 4:5 They are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
All real Christians spoke in other tongues when they received the Holy Ghost.
Now what about "when that which is perfect is come" ??? I understand 'that' is in a impersonal sense rather than personal.. which would indicate the Word (the Bible) rather than the Word (Jesus).....????
1Cor 13:8 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
When knowledge vanishes away then tongues shall cease, not until. Your false preacher is hoping that you don't see that verse.
Firstly, you will not get away with calling Spurgeon & Pink false teachers without me wondering about where you are coming from! And secondly, we have no indication of any true prophets, tongues, or new knowledge from God that is apart from the Bible...since the disciples wrote their accounts down. DO WE???
Is not the Word of God complete and all we need for knowledge? What about when 'that' which is perfect is come??? Which is in the impersonal tense rather than personal?
The word "that" in the verse you mention refers to Christ in the neuter singular, which also occurs elsewhere in scripture several times. For example, in Matthew 1:20, the angel said to Joseph in a dream, "... fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for THAT which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. " So, from this we can see that Christ can be referred to as a "that" in scripture. Also, when that which is perfect is come, verse 12 says we will see face to face, not face to book.

Thank you for this lesson Brother Steve. I don't fully agree but, I think I follow you. This has been the one subject that has caused me to be confused. And I know that God is not the author of confusion.
I read that Acts verse (2:4), and not being a Christian I thought to myself oh gosh I guess the tongue speaking people have a point, I should give them a break. Then I thought for probably around 5 seconds, the New Testament was written in Kione Greek, these people are parsing hairs over a translation. Never a smart thing to do. Then I remember that in Greek and Latin for that matter, the word for tongue is the same as the word for language (Γλώσσα, Lingua).
Did you watch the video? The subject is about people speaking in different languages or "tongues". That is the point, friend! People speak in new languages when they receive the Holy Ghost baptism.
I thought only the Apostles were baptized by the Holy Spirit (not the 120) on the day of Pentecost? Jesus was only speaking to the Apostles in Acts 1:1-8, verse 5, for John baptized with water, but you (Apostles) shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit. Thanks
Please read Mark 16:17..."These signs shall follow THEM THAT BELIEVE...they shall SPEAK WITH NEW TONGUES." This verse shows that speaking in tongues is a sign that will follow ALL believers, not just some, or just the Apostles. Please look at Acts 10:44-46 and Acts 19:1-6 also.
like in 1 Corinthians 14:4, the person speaking mysterious languages is not as beneficial as the one prophesying, speaking other languages (unless it's interpreted) because he's not building up others, just himself, in praising God :)
also, like in 1 Corinthians, 13:1, Paul's saying about human tongues and angelic tongues... so the ones we don't understand are the languages of angels. So we're praising God either way, but in unknown we're exhorting angels, and the known we're encouraging men
tongues just means languages... so why do you think they all heard it, those from other countries? because the "other languages" they were speaking when empowered by the Spirit were the languages of the other people. the other word is glossolalia, which is a combination of two words, "tongues" and "speaking" - so it simply means "speaking languages". people over scrutinize when they don't have the understanding... and yeah, God will enable you by the Holy Spirit.
Jesus said in John 3, that the wind blows & you hear the SOUND, but can't tell where it's coming from or going. So it is with EVERYONE who is born of the Spirit. When you're born again, there is a SOUND (tongues). The Spirit can be seen & heard (see Acts 2:33, 8:18). What did Simon see that was so miraculous & wanted to buy it? Were they simply confessing Jesus? If you say you're filled when you believe, what about Acts 10? No altar call, no prayer - the Holy Ghost just fell during preaching.
Do all speak with tongues? ALL did at Pentecost. ALL did in Acts 10. ALL did in Acts 19. Why? Because these were other tongues, not unknown tongues. Not all speak with unknown tongues. Correct, Steve, unknown tongues can not be understood by men, but other tongues can be, as they were at Pentecost. No interpreter was needed in Acts 10 & 19, because these were other tongues, not unknown.
The tongues at Pentecost were NOT for the purpose of preaching the gospel. If this were the case, then why were the hearers amazed & in doubt? Why did they ask, "What meaneth this?" They were NOT preaching the gospel, but were praising God in other languages. That's why Peter stood up & preached the gospel to them. He wouldn't have needed to if they had just heard it! WHY did they ask the question, "what shall we do?" Why, if they had already heard the answer? Amen Steve!
I know what you are saying is true, but I can't help but get frustrated when I hear it. I have been seeking the Holy Ghost for years and have never received it. The Bible is quite clear that all the 120 were filled with the Holy Ghost and spoke in tongues, including Mary.
Acts 2:4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
We look back and see who the "all" were.
Acts 1:14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
