yeah I would also like to know, as I had one, it was working, I found some epic bends, then the power cord connected to the circuitboard broke.. D: please help
My speaker wires were yellow. But I've found there are many different versions of the layout, so I'm not sure it would help. I've restarted the project so I'll probably be able to get it. Sorry I missed your response so long ago!
I actually have the blue case version of this thing but I got it already opened and the battery & speaker connections are all broken. To make matters worse, the battery pack has three solder points (???) Any ideas?
I'd kill a man to be able to see what color wires go where.
Well, a year later I now have two of these. Turns out there are at least two different versions: one with 8006-1E, and one with 5085-11 written on the main circuit board. I have a perfectly functioning 8006-1e version I can help you with, but I still have a few bad connections on my 5085-11. If you have that one I'd be curious to see....
so i opened uo my version and theres no IC on the circuit board it says 8006-1G but underneath there is a blob and beside that it says D0-8006- ROHS- VER B
i found a few body contacts but when i soldered an actual wire and contact it killed the cidrcuit, also found a pitch adjust by taking out a resis. but it wasnt very cintrollable. wondering if you can help me out, so i dont feel like i wasted 4 hours and some switches. thanks
I guess 1G is just a later run than my 1E. The blob is actually your IC, or rather a coating over top of the IC. It's probably on a small "shelf" piece of PCB perpendicular to the main board. It's the same sort of thing inside a Furby and other noise "toys". Not sure about the body contacts (I haven't modified my 8006-1E at all to tell you,) but that doesn't sound right. For pitch adjust generally you put a pot in parallel to the existing resistor, leaving the original there.
@scabbedeye Hello Im sorry I didnt take notes on this one but the body contact problem sometimes can be fixed with a trim pot or res in line. the pitch on this one I ran a wire from the neg to the extra lug on the pitch pot to make it more controlable
@Cyeos yes I'd be interested to know of what you made of this one if you ever get any pics posted somewhere - mine seems fairly crashable... I guess if you have a 8006 series, you probably wont need the pics I just posted to your electro-music post regarding power and speaker layout...
yeah i got all that, im pretty familiar with the basics, just dont know why the body contacts wont work. wish this guy would reply to his own video

Ah...OK.
Does your PCB have a transistor on it by chance?

yeah

wondering if you have any notes or shematics for where the pitch knob goes and th eother bends
just found the blue version at a local goodwill and could only find the body contacts. any help would be great. thanks in advance

I can help you with battery lines if your main circuit board (the one with the slide switch pads on it) says 8006-1E or 5085-11. Let me know.

what color are the wires ?

any way you could open it up to tell me where the pitch knob goes?
