You guys are looking at the old vacation movies with a bit too much bias. The style is pretty much the same. I actually thought this was funny. Watchable if it was a movie even. Not "HILARIOUS" but most of the vacations movies weren't. Why do people insist that the past is somehow better than the present. This short is just fine.

I agree, it's time for one more "Vacation Movie" before it's too late. There is definately still a market for this, and I'm confident it would do well in the box office. Vegas Vacation was my favorite, but I like them all. I've been trying to think what the next vacation movie could be, maybe a vacation down under, or a japan vacation or a hawaiian vacation. I wish Chevy & Beverly would do it, but I think Randy Quaid won't be able to make it unless the make it in Canada!

@jocelynmmlkuntz I bought a '85 Crown Vic 'Wagon...stuffed a pair of coveralls and a dog leash, drove from Yuma to CA and back like that!! Some people got it, some didn't but it was classic. Border patrol even smiled at me,..gonna do it again in a few weeks. Even got a sticker, "Wally World or Bust."

It's sad that great actors and a great franchise are reduced to this. If there were any justice.. there would have been far more Griswold movies over the years.

This short film was ok in some ways, but ultimately pretty lame. The Rusty character is all wrong - and that orange Caveman wig doesn't look funny, just annoying.

One thing this does show.. is that there's potential for Chevy and Beverly to star in a proper, well-made update. The whole concept of them being Grandparents shows promise.

Bryan Buckly's Cinematic masterpiece(if you are wondering that is the director)!!! The only thing that made me smile was seeing the car. You know it is great when the worst outtake is funnier than anything in the movie. Glad to see the "crap Rusty" get barfed on cause the rest of the piece of garbage made me sick too. But I like dolphins too ;)
