Here's a rather valid point, all this filming of a man running around in his pyjamas across a city (OK, two cities!!) chasing helium balloons with unusual (to the Spanish anyway) TV logos on them, well I'm sure they may recognise the BBC logo - and absolutely NOBODY took any photographs?
I was really surprised when I watched the commercial on TV, it's Sabadell, my hometown, where I used to go for walks and to play when I was a kid... from second 38 you can see Parc de Catalunya and Eix Macià (the business and commercial centre of Sabadell).
All these references to channels contents/features is all obviously too clever for me - I thought it was an American advertisement (flag at the end) with the balloons images overlaid like so many cheap adverts do these days with dubbed voices.
This ad was filmed in different places. Certainly the park that we can see at the end of the ad is in Sabadell (building on the left is the Shopping Centre "Del Llac"), Avinguda Francesc Macia. Great to see Catalonian flag (second 52). The Interface Building (revolving doors) is in Barcelona City, 98 Tanger Street. The yellow bus bellowed to Monh Buses services from Baix Llobregat (Castelldefels, Gava) to Barcelona.
Dave... Starts in hallway but decor is old 70's/80's? reflecting the type of programs that Dave channel previously aired (previously UKTV Gold). Also oval balloon shaped like window in door.
Peep Show... Hiding behind wall (peeping?)
4... Not sure of significance yet
CBBC... unsure of significance of 'one way' sign but the guy passes the balloon to a child on the bus.
Film 4... The doors on the bus open like old theatre/cinema screen curtains to reveal the balloon.
in the other version of the ad there are two boats... one is stationary and a 'pause' balloon floats out of it while another passes (backwards) with a 'rewind' balloon while the narrator describes how with freeview you can pause and rewind programs. :)
Not Barcelona really, but my hometown of Sabadell, 25 km away. Can't really think of a reson, maybe it was cheaper than Barcelona and looks southern and sunny all the same. Weird though...
@94flyingpig It's filmed in Barcelona. I particularly like the "One Way" sign that's painted on the wall, which is then obscured by a bus with the driver on the left hand side of the vehicle!

Some of the balloons seem to be cleverly placed so that their environment/background has some significance/visual reference.

YouTube... On stack of used tyres (tube - inner tubes?) along with DEMAND 5 and BBCiPlayer.
ITV1... Drifts vertically with stairs behind. Notice the ZigZag Stairway? Remember the old ITC/ITV Logo with the letters in the zigzag device?
More4... More stairs! also the Balloon is shaped like stairs right?
ITV2... I can't find any significance with the revolving doors of the interface building (yet).
Channel 5... I not yet see the significance of the guy reaching over the shopping trolleys (yet).
