  • You are so right. God bless you, I really needed to hear what you had to say today. Thank you for being so genuine. I love that you said, if somebody doesn't like you because your don't grow hair on your head, they have the problem! That is so true. You look fantastic!!

  • I am with you 2000%! I lost my hair and I look totally Fabulous!!! Even if my hair ever came back I#d probably always be bald! I absolutely love it!

  • Love your Attitude !! Thanks for sharing .

  • I have been watching your videos for the past few days and I absolutely love them. You seem to have such a pure and genuine soul.God bless you and I know this video has helped many. You are very beautiful.

  • I needed this sooo much. You are the best. I stress sooo much about my hair loss. I all but refuse to date for fear of eventual rejection. So , yes I am lonely. I trust God and know He will help me get the victory over this. Anyway, I did get the mommy wig, but it is not like yours because the back is very short, wish I could find one like yours. GOD BLESS YOU.

  • Your an amazing women !!!

  • Thank you for being so open and honest about your condition. Iam a cancer survivor undergoing chemo and i am bald as well and i love it. Ive always been into wigs but now i wear them just for a different look. You are strong and beautiful i appreciate this video.

  • Your esteem should be high sistah because it's just hair... I just came across your channel today and have watched a few of your vids now, and hunny it looks like every day is a good hair day for you... God Bless! :)

  • The Spirit if God is in you. You are brave for this. Someone I love has alopecia, she would never be seen without a wig. You are very pretty with or without hair. I couldn't do it. (I don't think). But I have much respect and admiration for you for doing it. You are awesome. Stay blessed!

  • loved your video. It was the 1st of yours that I've seen...I'll be watching more, thx!

  • Hi JoAnn. I purchased the Mommy wig after watching your review but somehow I missed this video back then. I love your positivity and it's so inspiring not only to people suffering from alopecia but especially to those who may have some self-esteem issues. Oh, and I love your bald head by the way. Not all of us have the head and personality to rock a bald head but it sure does look good on you. Take care.

  • thank you for sharing. i don't have alopecia, but i went through a time when my hair was severely damaged by a licensed beautician. i felt ashamed and embarrassed; but it helped me learn that my hair does not make or break me. it taught me a lesson about myself. years later, i am not going back to another relaxer and plan to be natural and ease on into being 40. God Bless

  • You are gorgeous! What an inspiration you are! Bless you! :)

  • I think you look amazing bald!

  • You are a wonderful inspiration to the world. Very beautiful inside and out whether you have hair or not. Your strength, confidence, integrity and dignity as a lady is rare in this day and time and this is what is most beautiful about you. People are way to vain, materialistic, and do not value whats most important in life.......other people. You help me to be a better person more than being concerned about how I look. Continue loving yourself and enjoying life! Thank you and God bless

  • JoAnn you are beautiful inside and out! You just radiate light! You are such a brave lady to show the world your shining beauty (beautiful baldness)! You are a good roll model for us all. Happy Thanksgiving blessings to you.

  • You're my hero! My hair pattern is exactly like yours. I've hidden my hair loss from the world, but have been trying to get the courage to "let it all hang out." Thanks for your boldness and wonderful attitude.

  • Beautiful inside and out -- you look great with that wig and without. Peace and blessings!

  • I am so glad this video was listed in my recomendations. I too have Alopeica, however I lost hair all over my body, It was very traumatic for me and I am just now becoming comfortable with wearing wigs after 5 yrs. Thanks for sharing your story you are such a beautiful, brave, strong black woman. Peace and blessings to you.

  • Oh man you are SO BEAUTIFUL! Still feminine, still perfect with and without hair! Inspiring, thanks!

  • I have a problem with my hair falling out, and I am a 29 year old woman. As a natural born woman, it is not easy to deal with hair falling out. I am white (not sure if it matters), and have major issues using a lace front wig. I pin my hair back but when I use glue, my hair comes out and gets stuck. Do you have any tips? Thank you.

  • Its a man!

  • you are a very beautiful women bald and all girl u go head with your bad self!

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your video was a huge inspiration to me. I too have the same type of Alopecia and I must have purchased every wig on the market, but I just want to be myself sometimes & I never felt confident enough. I've been thinking about shaving my head, but never really had the nerve to do it. I found my nerve today thanks to your video. Oh yes honey, I will still rock my wigs but I found the courage 2bme & I think you're beautiful inside & out; hair or no hair. :)

  • @JoAnnGray Oh la la what have we here? How about me and you go back to my place, brown eyes? I'm David by the way.

  • youre an angel.

  • You're an inspiration. Boy sometimes God introduces people into your life and suddenly you have perspective on all the silly and superficial things that you once thought were important. Thank you for your courage and your story!

  • You rock!! I admire your beauty and positivity. I'm crushing on you!

  • Beautiful women. Beautiful spirit!

  • You are still beautiful without your wig!

  • U are a very strong and motivational women keep doing what your doing. Next I appreciate how you are showing women to accept who they are u are beautiful with or without a weave/wig something many of us women of color really need to know that. I'm a cosmetologist and you wouldn't imagine how many young girls say I'm not pretty without my weave/wig

  • You are a gorgeous woman! You can rock the bald look b/c you have a beautiful face too! All the same, I am grateful to God that I do not suffer from this issue but I'm still glad you are confident enough to post this for everyone...it is uplifting, enlightening & educational for us all! You've helped me understand something I've never even considered. Thanks again and be blessed!

  • (1Co 11:15) But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

LMAO, I laughed my ass off when you took that wig off! LMAO I'm gonna favorite this!

  • Thank you for sharing. I too suffer from hair lost. You're beautiful and 'oh so confident'. God Bless you.

  • I found your video's because I was looking for tips on how to properly clean and cook chitlins...of all things ( wanted to show my Grand-momma and my fiance I could clean and cook them even if it took all day ...LOL) and I quickly subscribed after hearing your poetry. Now after watching this video and seeing how absolutely gorgeous you are inside and out ( with or without hair) you truly have left me feeling inspired, en-lighted and overjoyed that I did subscribed. Stay Beautiful.

  • You are gorgeous with or without hair! Beautiful face and a great heart.

  • I just wanted you to know that you've given me so much support and inspiration with dealing with hair loss. I wish I could give you a big hug! you're an awesome person!

  • @nicoleneuman24: There is a free naturopathic approach for alopecia on our channel in the comment section.

There is also a naturopathic approach for hair loss and growth on the 4CHANGO channel in the commet section.

  • Oh my God, I cried when I found this video. I was the same way when I started loosing my hair. I have come to grips with it but I have become adjusted to making my own wigs. I am still a little afraid to reveal my hair, but after seeing your video and hearing you speak I glad I'm not the only black women in the world that has lost her hair. THANK YOU so very much!!!

  • I watch all of your videos and you are so BEAUTIFUL and VERY INSPIRING!! THank yu and keep doing what yu do. GOD BLESS

  • JoAnn I Salute You For This!!Like That Saying Says "Live Everyday Like Its Your Last!!"

  • I love your video, sadly I have lost 80% of my hair and now want to shave the rest off, my fear is if I buy a wig how do I get it to securely stay on without using glue or adhesive strips?? I have seen the gel bands online do these help?? I am steps away from being buzzed cut but refuse to do till I know all the proper in and outs, you are a beautiful lady inside and out ((hugs)))

  • You are so Beautiful... with wigs and bald. This vid really touched my heart. i never thought of alopecia to that extreme. Today I was educated. Stay beautiful

  • My god you look so beautiful bald.

  • you are soooooooo brave. thank you for sharing!

  • @majoshlin You're welcome. Thank you for tuning in. I can see how much of an impact this video has had on others. This is a bold statement, and I am so glad I made it.

  • you remind me of a more elegant lisa ray...beauuuutiful!

  • @majoshlin Thank you.

  • I thank you for this review..It gave me the confidence I needed to try something different and be bold with being bald. I have cancer and this whole bald thing is so stressful..you are sooo beautiful:)

  • @manda6981 You're welcome. This video has served it's intended purpose, and it does my heart good. I am so sorry to hear of your diagnosis. God bless you. Keep your head to the sky. Thank you so much for your kindness. I appreciate you sharing with me.

  • you are so beautiful..inside and out. continue to be blessed and stress free.

  • @tejejakeka Thank you so much. I appreciate that.

  • Ms. J, I applaud you for this "session". What you have done for so many women with your testimony ("they shall overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of their testimony" Rev. 12:11). I just purchased the "mommie" wig by model model (couldn't find the Janet). LOVE IT!!!!! At any rate, I am thankful for ur boldness, sincerity and beauty! May God bless you to continue to share your story and lift the spirits of a sistah who may be down!

  • @temac1000 Thanks so much. It does my heart good to hear this. I'm so happy you found a wig you love and I am happy to be here at this time, sharing this way. I know I am not alone.

  • I am soooo glad I came across your video. Girl, you are so beautiful without the wig. Wear it if it makes you feel better or as a fashoin accessory, but you do not need it. You made me feel better about myself. I am struggling with huge hair loss at the front of my head and am now wearing wigs. The only problem is I can't keep them on because there is not enought hair for the combs on the inside of the wigs to keep it on my head. I tried the tape, but that sticks to the few hairs that remain.

  • @050856jrf I'm glad you came across my video too. Thank you very much. I pray this video continues to educate and motivate those who have occasion to see it. Make sure to wear your wig caps with your wigs. It gives the wigs something to grip too. Most wigs don't even come with combs, and they are unnecessary if you are bald. Try working with the adjustable straps in the back of the wigs to help you wigs fit more snug, if you have a small head try petite wigs.

  • You are just cool! I hope I will have the courage soon to just cut

mine off too. Lots of love and support!

  • @dushannonful :) Hi there. Your courage will come with time. The fact that you are aware of your options puts you ahead of the game. Best wishes to you. You've got my support when you're ready.

  • Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us. My sister "S" and I both have alopecia...and where she has adapted and has the confidence to walk around without her wig (Albeit ..only in the house) I still run in terror to put my wig on when the doorbell rings. I look forwrd to your upcoming wig reviews.

    Jennifer Brown..

  • @jennybrowner Hello there. You're welcome. Thanks for tuning in. I'm sorry to hear about your hair loss. Jennifer, know that you are beautiful. Once your reveal for the first time, and find out that your world doesn't collapse around you, you'll be free. The choice is yours. Nothing to it, but to do it.

  • I watched this video several times and I love the look.. I am bald, but by choice. I love wigs and I attend to keep wearing them.. I've done so much to my own hair that it probably wont grow back. lol But your beauty itself speaks for itself.. Thank you for sharing. Be Blessed.. Stay Blessed

  • @Beaute1073 You're welcome. Thanks for stopping by and sharing your story with me. God bless.

  • You are turning me on with that beautiful face of yours. You married?

  • @textronox Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a nice compliment. Have an awesome day.

  • U r beautiful.

  • @imonlysayin Thank you.

  • I just came across your videos because I was looking for reviews on short wigs. I have an entire head full of thick curly hair and you have just inspired me, like you couldn't believe. Your spirit is so beautiful and so evident you have really touched me. Thank you for sharing with us.

  • @ksg314 Hi there. You're welcome. Thanks for stopping by and sharing with me. I'm glad you found my channel.

  • Hello, Thank you so much for this video. I have alopecia similar to yours. The crown of my head is just basically bald/peach fuzz like. I have just started to get into lace front wigs and have been thinking to just shave off my hair and be done with trying to cover my bald spots with my natural hair. After watching you I think I will do it! Thank you for the courage!

  • @dushannonful You'll feel so much better if you buzz it all down.

  • What a beautiful lady. Geourgeous face.

  • @ZennLa13 Thank you very much.

  • Thank you, you are an inspiration! I hope some day I will have the courage to go outside without a cap...I still don't have a wig, hope to get it soon:) Great to see someone who is comfortable with alopecia, and isn't afraid to show yourself to others:)

  • @IngaLain You're welcome. One day, you'll just take the cap off and start walking. It's nice to have baldness as an option. No one knows that baldness is not your style of choice. People who have hair are shaving their heads or buzzing it down so close and they are liberated. Change your mindset about baldness and you'll be liberated. Thanks for your comment.

  • thank you, i will give that a try

  • you are so beautiful! GOD bless, and thank you for this great video. What do you use on your skin? its so pretty?

  • @cheleigh1961 You're welcome, and thank you for your kind words. I avoid soap of any kind on my face and I don't apply cosmetics either with the exception of eyeshadow. I like using Noxema makeup remover cloths on my entire face. Aside from water that's it. God bless. Thanks again.

  • You are a beautiful person inside and out, with or without the wig and may you continue to be blessed. Thank you for the video.

  • @MultitaskMe You're welcome. Thank you so much for your kind words. I appreciate that. Thanks for watching.

  • You have a really pretty face that fits all styles of wig.

  • @ttcake Thank you so much.

  • LOVE! this video thanks for sharing

  • @BcPrettyGirly Hi sis. You're welcome. Thank you for reaching out.

  • OMG, you are so beautiful. I just happened to bump into this video because I am trying to get some motivation to cut my hair. I had below the shoulder hair and went to a salon to get a bob in 2002. since then the back of my hair has never, never grown back. In 2007 I took of my braids and saw a bald patch behind my ear and that area has not grown back either. Whenever I comb my hair now, I'm amazed how much falls off so I have decided to cut the whole thing and you have given me the motivation.

  • @odooma721 Thank you. Hi there. I'm sorry to hear about this happening to you, but I'm glad you were able to find your way to my channel. I wish you all the best in whatever you decide. Bless you. Stay motivated and encouraged.

  • shes beautiful bald.

  • @dukeofmystery Thank you.

  • I LOVE your wig choice!! You have amazing style. <3

  • @MsMenaJay Thank you.

  • you look great girl, we appreciate you.. tee

  • @terryellis100 Thank you so much. I appreciate that.

  • You are simply beautiful! :-)

  • @spiritualgal07 Thank you very much. That is so nice. Right back at you.

  • You so beautiful! I had brain surgery and they had to shave my head. It was so hard for me. My hair grew back and recently I had to get it shaved again and its hard ..But i still have a some kind of feeling about it. I know it will grow back. But, this video help me to look at it different. Thank you

  • @tonjaj1 Thank you so much. I know that had to be a difficult adjustment for you. I'm glad you survived. Somehow, for some, it's hard to fathom that hair loss or cutting one's hair is not the end of the world. We must find something else to believe in, and focus on what's really important to and in our lives. I pray that all is well, and that it continues to be.

  • @tonjaj1 You're welcome. Thank you for sharing this.

  • Beautiful shaped head!!! You are an inspiration to all women. Much love to you

  • @meankitty8 Thank you again for being so kind. I truly appreciate that. Much love.

  • girl you are beautiful! im black and hispanic mixed, my hair is to the middle of my back. i have never had to wear wigs or weaves and it makes me want to cry but i have heriditary hair loss and im only 34. i will eventually have to wear one i guess because the top of my scalp is starting to show. it used to be so thick.. anyways, you give me inspiration. God bless you dear. sincerely. very sincerely.

    barbara

  • @indibabs122275 Thank you so much. Of course I'm sorry to hear about your hair loss. Parting is such sweet sorrow, but change is also good. Going through this process is a challenge and what is initially painful becomes a blessing. Hair loss, especially if having long hair is what has defined you, is a humbling experiences and it forces you to search even dig deeper into your soul for the truth and what really matters and who you really are. I know that everything will be just fine.

  • @indibabs122275 Barbara, if and when the time comes that you opt for a wig or even to cut your hair be strong and find a means to become a blessing to someone else in need. There are so many people who are suffering this same fate. It is not the end of the world. Continue to or learn to love yourself from the inside out and that will be your key to getting by. When you love yourself. The world loves you in kind. You are so much more than your hair. God bless you. I am here my friend.

  • you are beautiful, face, spirit, and support of others going thru similiar! I have a co-worker that she wears wigs, because her scalp shows thru. I told her about youtube, and tonight I was looking for temp.hair color to cover my grey and found your video.I will write down your info for her! Not sure how many times you've had to have been through our hearts "adopted as a big sis" ! Thank you!

  • @4shys2 Hi there. You're welcome, and thank you so much for taking the time to comment, and for your willingness to share this channel with your co-worker. You are very kind. I pray something about this channel gives her comfort or insight. I appreciate all the care and concern from those who visit. Thanks again. Happy Valentine's Day.

  • thank u so much.i love that confidence. im a hairstylist an i have seen so many women who hav this an r in denial about having alopecia.an i tell them its only hair it doesnt define u.i wish more ladies understood this...

  • @snickers619 Hi there. You're welcome. Nice to hear from you. You can run but you can't hide. I pray that these women and men learn to accept this condition so they can live. It's not the end of the world. I hope this video continues to reach all of those who need to hear it's message.

  • This is a Brother from NY. You look beautiful bald and I understand that this is beyond your control. However not every woman looks good bald. With all the weaves and wigs that a great number of our Black sisters wear along with hair destroying chemicals (which is within their control), it makes me wonder how many of our women will really look "revealed". Is the average Black woman bald or balding? As a Black man I dread such a great "revelation". Sisters its okay to go a'la naturaal!!! :)

  • @sfumatoking Hi there. Thank you. I overstand you. Women are making all sorts of choices for themselves, for convenience sake, for the sake of a man, for the sake of society and also personal preference. It is okay to go natural and it's ok to take alternative routes. I say to each her own. Whatever she chooses or whatever hand she is dealt, it's only fair to be respectful and tolerant of her choice or circumstance.

  • You are so pretty!

  • @immau2brr Thank you.

  • It wouldnt look good on me but you look great in it!

  • @nyruby Thank you.

  • beautiful

  • @OHYOUDIDITAGAIN Thanks so much.

  • You Go Girl, I love your self confidence, you can tell you are a believer of God. That is the only one who can allow us to be so sure of self, is because you know him.

It is AWESOME how you display that you appreciate life.......................

  • @SharronConversates Hello there. Thank you so much.

  • You are beautiful

  • @CoaGlobuleGrunk Thank you. How sweet is that? I appreciate it.

  • Joann - Thanks so much for posting this video. Today, I go to shave my head because of a similar condition. I have gone through the same process as you and have similar feelings/reactions/emotions to my disorder. It has been an emotional journey for my whole family and friends but I am good with my life and accepting my state. I'm a healthy woman with many more years ahead of me and pressing concerns than how I look or how others perceive me. Continued success in your life.

  • @1450Kenneth Hello there. You're welcome. Thanks for tuning in to watch. Best wishes on your head shaving. Trust me, you'll feel so much better not having to deal with the bald patches of hair. You will be fine. Never forget that you are beautiful, and that you are not alone. I wish you much success in your hair journey.

  • Wow! You look fantastic without your wig. The 'skin-bald' look is just perfect for you.

Often a smooth, hairless scalp can be one of a woman's most attractive and sexiest features.

I was sorry to hear that you're thinking of growing it out a bit because you can't shave every day. :( That head's much too beautiful to be covered with hair.

Do you think that your hair will ever grow back? If not, perhaps like more and more gorgeous women you could choose to have it all removed permanently.

  • @daz2305 Thank you. I love the skin bald look. I shave my head once every month. I'm keeping it as low as the clippers cut. Shaving my head as stated in this video is painful because it begins to grow back instantly. I have been bald 18 years. It's not growing back. I'm fine with buzzing it down monthly. Thanks for tuning in. Appreciate your comment.

  • You have like the perfectly shaped head! And you are gorgeous. Also I like your earrings. :)

  • @ubergirliz1 Thank you so much.

  • I thank you for not only revealing this to us but educating people on what is known of Alopecia. What I love most is your confidence sis! You are jazzy, pretty, warm hearted and all of the above (comment wise) of what people have said thus far. Again thank you so very much for sharing!

    (◕‿◕) Kokofemme

  • @kokofemme You're welcome, and thank you for making the time to tune in and to comment. It really means so much to me. Have an awesome day.

  • Hair or no hair, YOU are a beautiful woman!

  • @ElleJoie Thank you so much for your comment. Thanks for stopping by.

  • Alopecia affects a lot of people yet not all have the courage that you have. Is it any particular brand of wig that you prefer because all them r cute on you. May God Keep You & Bless U In A Special Way!!!!

  • @lad2y Yes, it does affect more people than are sharing. I pray that those with Alpoecia know peace. As far as wigs. I just pick out what stands out to me. Thanks for your kind words. God bless.

  • Beautiful video from a beautiful lady with or without hair!

  • @mezier50 Hello there. Thank you so much.

  • @JoAnnGray Amen to that!! With hair or without hair, we are ALL beautiful because God created all of us!! I would like to thank you also for helping my friend by making him feel better and have more courage with his male pattern baldness which he was worried about and felt even depressed about. Your comments helped him and made him more confident and comfortable!!. So thanks for your video!!

  • @xhemexx Hello there. I appreciate you sharing this video with your friend and I'm glad my words helped. You are so welcome. God bless you both.

  • JoAnn Gray, you are truly GOD Sent! I love your humbleness, and honesty. You are awesome! I love you, and GOD Bless You!!!!

  • @cherylsworld2 Thank you so very much. I am very happy to be here and to be able to share with others. I thank you so much for your comment, and Ii appreciate you so much. God bless.

  • Wow! You're beautiful with and without a wig. I don't have alopecia, but I'm considering going bald for a new look. BALD IS BEAUTIFUL!

  • @cocogrrl Hello there. Thank you so much. It is a nice option, so liberating. Best wishes to you. Bald IS beautiful.

  • You remind me of halle Berry,, beautiful with or without hair.. you have a great bone structure which makes it suit you loads.. I have Alopecia for 6 years now. no sign of regrowth but If i stay healthy then im happy. Plus it's made me stronger character wise. I also loved your music. Very charismatic.. take care and best wishes x

  • @martinleejones How sweet. Thank you. I think you have the right attitude. Thanks for sharing with me. All the best to you. I appreciate you listening to my music. I appreciate that.

  • Wow, 1stI looked at 1 of your wig revues which refered me over to this review and girl you are the bomb. I have alopecia and like you the top is almost completely gone. Always had issues with hair since lil girl, and got worse as I got older. My stylist found a freeze style that works altho thin it looks like it is supposed to be that way. I have been wearing for several yrs. Start lookn at wig reviews to figure how to save $ on hair dos, but boy did I get so much more. I GOT A BLESSING/

  • @yogi09644 Thank you so much. Nice to hear from you. Sorry to hear about your hair loss, but I'm glad you have found positive ways of dealing with this huge change. Thanks for sharing and being so positive. Nice to hear from you.

  • I heart you!

  • @luckyducky224 Aww, thank you. God bless.

  • you are one of the FEW women that still look good bald! PROPS! (:

  • @youniicee Thanks so much.

  • thank you for helping me to accept my Alopecia its been 20 yrs battle ty

  • @angeladenise041566 Wow, that's something. You're welcome. Thanks for sharing that with me.

  • Thank you! I don't have that issue however this will definitely help that have that problem or even can't grow their hair feeling sorry for themselves. the hair doesn't make you! beautiful with or without.

Hope i can learn to have that much strenght in my life.

  • @MzKalunji You're welcome, and your comment is appreciated all the same. Thank you so much. God bless you.

  • I love watching your videos...and i shaved my hair off recently and I'm a wig wearer. How do you keep your wigs on?

  • @missvalarie1 Hello there. Thank you. The wigs have a snug fit, just like a cap. They have adjustable hooks to adjust the tension of the band. I wear a wig cap which helps the wig grip and they have fishnet wig caps that fit very snug and you can use bobby pins to hold the wig in place by hooking them into the holes in the wig cap.

  • Thank you so much for sharing your story.

  • @SharmetaB You're welcome. Thanks for tuning in. I appreciate you for taking the time to watch and comment.

  • @JoAnnGray Thank you. I am working on my hairline my doctor said that I might have Traction Alopecia because my mom use to get my hair braided when I was young but did not see any problems until it was gone

  • @SharmetaB Yes, I think that's how it works. You don't notice it as it's breaking.... then it's gone. That's terrible. I'm sorry that happened to you. God bless.

  • I love the way you have taken true power!!!! May GOD continue to bless you... Please continue to share.

  • @thelacewigmaster Thank you. Had to do it to survive. I pray His blessings continue to flow, and I'm here as long as I can be. God bless you.

  • you're beautiful!!!
