There re bobby pins on the top. The crown goes right on top of the head.

There are four circles on the inside of the crown at its base. We put elastic strips(like you might use for sewing) through those holes (staple them together) and then we pin the strips onto our hair with bobby pins. It works best if you tease your hair a little where you are going to be doing the pinning. Ha ha. And now I've said too much.
