I like airsoft far more than paintball. It is cheaper, and with hop up, airsoft has far better range. But I would say for the most part, paintball hurts more than airsoft. If you were shot with a paintball gun from 100 feet away at 280fps, and an airsoft gun from 100 feet away at 280fps, which would hurt more? But, most high quality airsoft guns shoot 300fps+, so sometimes yes, airsoft would hurt more.

airsoft is alot more realistic actually, sure there might be afew pb guns that look real but if you paint any airsoft gun it looks real. airsoft was actually made afew hundred years ago because in some foriegn country guns were banned but people decided to get guns but since it couldn't be a real gun they made model guns that at first didn't shoot anything but then over time they got remodified to shoot metal bbs, and now plastic bbs.
