The divine nature includes the capacity for creation and destruction, so anything that shares in the divine nature can be used to create or destroy. Interesting that the Sumerian tablets also talk of a nuclear war that took place

In the Mahabharata is described nuclear wars that happened more than 6000 years. There are also descriptions of the size of the atom and the damage caused by the atomic explosion. Oppenheimer is absolutely right!
