AND, the only reason the mustang got ahead is because the viper driver let off to avoid a nasty accident while mr. tool kept heading straight towards another car. Video is fake. For 1 that isn't an 8.3l Viper, it is an 8.0L... 03-06 is 8.3L, that is a GTS not an SRT-10. Also look at position of cars from when it jumps to where the tool with the sunglasses hits his n20 and when it jumps back to the 'race'. The Viper hits his break when that 3rd car is in the road, then the mustang starts t barely inch up, then the cut scene happens and that 3rd car that the mustang just passed is now a bit ahead of them both - really bad editing.

Plus the viper dont need to have forced induction or the nitrous like the stang needed, without the nitrous the stang would have lost and you know it. Besides i'm sure it only took a couple runs and the stang was on the side of the road with the rest of the fords.

@68chargerlover thats cool. i dont know if you look at any of my videos , i have a dyno run up from when the car was getting tuned after the engine was put in. its stroked to a 302. all forged internals, eagle crank and H beam rods,aries pistons heads were CNC ported at total engine airflow, (trick flow) bigger valves the whole deal, custom ground bullet blower cams , a 2.1L kenne bell supercharger at 14lbs of boost. after 5 runs it was heat soaked but still made 492whp 500tq, cold prb 510whp

Watching the video, you will notice the viper hitting the brakes so the mustang doesn't run into the other car. The mustang lost pony blank. The video says it all.

Unless that Viper was modified it didn't have 500 hp. The GTS never came from the factory with over 460 (and that's only in a special edition, the standard had 450)

@melbalsan 390hp from the factory according to Ford. There have been many reports saying that the Cobra was underrated from the factory and it is more or so pushing 420hp. Cobra also has a 4.6 not a 5.4.
Mustangs are staring to mod hard, he probably had some work done, I got a GT that runs 515hp and it's a daily driver. The Mustang craz is back and in full effect.

2. It's because the viper has no traction control or any other electronic stability systems, so 500hp is more than enough.
3. Because of the high capacity it produces massive amounts of torque (a 2008-present viper produces 760nm from it's 8.3 litre v10)

@68chargerlover 4.6l v8 vs v10 . viper is modded with 2 extra cylinders from the factory. im sure the viper is lighter, and has alot of racing suspension upgrades from the factory. stock viper? it is built to begin with.

@68chargerlover cobra is factory with forced induction , correct? cobra weight 3700, viper weight 3200, cobra 281ci, viper 505ci , cobra 4.6L , viper 8.3L . viper , $83,000 cobra $32,000+ 2000 in bolt ons which doesnt amount to alot . viper twice the car , twice the money, twice as hard to take a beating by a ford. OUCH i like the car but im not impressed !!!!

@sinister99gt Not matter how you add it up you still have twice the car in the viper, heads turn when a viper is out, not so with a stang. Plus the viper dont need to have forced induction or the nitrous like the stang needed, without the nitrous the stang would have lost and you know it. Besides i'm sure it only took a couple runs and the stang was on the side of the road with the rest of the fords.

@68chargerlover i think the viper does need forced induction , or nitrous or something. maby it needs a big box of tissues mounted by the shifter. carbon fiber tissues so they wont weigh that ting down and make it any slower. i know what would make it feel better , racing a challenger . he could stop at the finish line and make a cup of coffe whil he waited for the challenger to get there

@68chargerlover i agree about the ricers. im just bustin your balls man.i like the challengers, i like the dodge vipers, i like all muscle cars. you have to admit it is impressive that i can get 500 rwhp out of my 99 mustang gt 2v with no nitrous my little 4.6 also has 500 ftlbs of torque. if i had the money i dont belive i would spend it on a viper , i would rather build some old muscle. i would rather go fast in a old camaro or cuda of mustang. i like having a car everyone thinks they can beat

@sinister99gt yeah not bad any car with 500hp is fun. I have a 68 hemi prostreet charger, its has 800hp, with 10.1 comp running pump gas, no forced induction or nitrous, all engine.

@68chargerlover thats cool. i dont know if you look at any of my videos , i have a dyno run up from when the car was getting tuned after the engine was put in. its stroked to a 302. all forged internals, eagle crank and H beam rods,aries pistons heads were CNC ported at total engine airflow, (trick flow) bigger valves the whole deal, custom ground bullet blower cams , a 2.1L kenne bell supercharger at 14lbs of boost. after 5 runs it was heat soaked but still made 492whp 500tq, cold prb 510whp

@1Kurgan1 he said that the viper had 500 horsepower so I'm thinking the viper is not stock because that model viper had 450 hp and it wasn't until 2003 that the srt10 came out which had 500 hp stock. So either the viper was not stock... or like you said this guy can't drive and doesn't know his facts.

@hammerdinz Ahhh, shit I knew that the cobra's were the DOHC 4.6 L. The GT was a SOHC 4.6, I was thinking '94 (that's what I have) and the '94 cobra had the option of the 235 horse 5.0L and 5.4L I believe...

Unless that Viper was modified it didn't have 500 hp. The GTS never came from the factory with over 460 (and that's only in a special edition, the standard had 450)

@melbalsan 390hp from the factory according to Ford. There have been many reports saying that the Cobra was underrated from the factory and it is more or so pushing 420hp. Cobra also has a 4.6 not a 5.4.
