They did it in Cloudy Park.

However, I think what happens is that the game makers went for safeguarding against just bringing in Coo or Pitch, since both of them can fly. I think this is why Propeller Bombs had the ability to IK animal friends in KDL2 to punish Coo if he went too high, although Coo+Parasol circumvented that. Animal friends in KDL3 have no lifebars of their own, sadly.

The shock powerup, espcially with Kine lights up the hidden door. So when you have shock its easier to find it.
