I dont know y ppl are making such a big deal about this girl's decision to answer in English. She has proven that she can speak in Vietnamese when she said "em xin tra loi (bang) tieng anh". It's not a bad choice to choose to answer in English because some of the judges are not VNese (those Viet judges can understand English though). As the title says, it's "Miss Vietnam Global". That means that people who view the show are from all around the world and English is somewhat a better choice.

I dont know y ppl are making such a big deal about this girl's decision to answer in English. She has proven that she can speak in Vietnamese when she said "em xin tra loi (bang) tieng anh". It's not a bad choice to choose to answer in English because some of the judges are not VNese (those Viet judges can understand English though). As the title says, it's "Miss Vietnam Global". That means that people who view the show are from all around the world and English is somewhat a better choice.

The thing that younger generation Vietnamese in Vietnam lack is the freedom of media. They've grown up in a society where brainwashing and censorship is so prevalent, that nobody realises it exists. "Antigovernment" are banned, films which are reactionary are banned, "adult content" is mostly banned, people's privacies are breached and the worst thing yet, the children grow up with a hatred against Viet Kieus.
