  • i just found a dvd with all of the episodes on lol

  • It's got Boba Fett!!

  • Haven't seen this in a long while! Loved this cartoon and C-3PO cereal was AWESOME, BTW!!!

  • my grandmother had a video of this show. I think it was called the Lost Prince or something like that. I loved this. We also had the Laser Tag cartoon...

  • This was kick-ass back in the days....still is, thanks for posting

  • Like Star Wars combined with Scooby-doo.

  • They should play this on Bommerang!

  • @AmuroGabe I'm not talking about the show, I just never liked that song for some reason! lol

  • @Handsome85 Gay videos are the best kind of videos. I wish that C-3PO and R2-D2 would have gay robot sex in this intro.

  • @AmuroGabe dont we all?

  • @AmuroGabe You do!? O_o o_O o_o O_O o.o O.O o.O O.o lol

  • @AmuroGabe :( no

  • @Handsome85

Indeed, HAPPY times indeed you are so right

  • where can i get this cartoon?

  • I was disappointed with the artwork. I mean with the authentic special effects. I thought it deserved neat Neal Adams/Dick Giordano art for the animation. But maybe I'm alone....

  • @jwindyboy Nah, blu-ray will likely go the way of HD. As long as DVDs keep competitive prices, there's little to no point to going to DVD, other than storage space. And with external hard drives being in the TB range, and about as affordable as getting a blue ray, it kinda makes blue ray a pointless technology since it doesn't do anything that current technology already can.

  • What a tune! Ah, pointless nostalgia...

  • I cannot but help wonder where in the Star Wars timeline this cartoon took place. Was this ever established, I can't remember. I think the best story was when they had to take a Maharajah back to his home planet before the (Obligatory) 'evil vizeer' stole the throne...

  • @Jermyn78 its about as cannon as the star wars holiday special

  • @SkInHoUnD I still haven't watched that all the way through. I keep meaning to, but I just find it terrible.

  • @Jermyn78 all you need to see is Jefferson starship

  • @Jermyn78 I think I read an explanation of this somewhere, apparently they got separated from the captain, went on these adventures before being returned, or at least that is my understanding of the situation. You must keep in mind Lucas as I heard has the final say in these matters.

  • Of course that wasn't Sting. I didn't know it was Copeland, though. That's kinda cool. Actually, I wasn't really hot on Droids. But looking back on it, the animation is pretty decent.

  • @jwindyboy not even a blue ray release, how bout just a dvd release period. yes, we did get a few episodes of dvd in 2005, but for a series that lasted only one season, it shouldn't be that hard to be the entire show on dvd

  • the animation of this series was really good for the time. i think the animation was nelvana studios. they are great. the theme song is good as well. wish there was a full length of it.

  • 0:15 - 0:18

    "whistle, beep, whistle"

"I don't know R2. I was going to shuffle to safety like usual when suddenly my legs began to feel very strange and started moving in ways they never had before. It was exhilarating"

  • Seeing R2 and 3P0 without the other Star Wars cast (Luke, Leia, Han) used to make me sad when I was a kid.

    I was a wussy-boy.

  • wait what? that was confusing......

  • in trouble again!

  • does anyone know where can I find this song?to download of course

  • Copeland wrote the song along with Derek Holt, and performed the music part of the song, but he did NOT do the singing. Trust me, listen to other works that he has actually sung on and you'll hear the difference, he can't sing high like that.

  • R2D2 as himself!? Holy shit! R2's real!? LOL!

  • @Kaagh178 lol.yeah i didn't know that either

  • The theme song's not bad, but not particularly memorable, either -- I watched this show all the way through twice, and I couldn't remember anything about the theme, not the tune, not the refrain "Trouble Again," nothing -- and I normally have a fantastic memory for both tunes and anything that rhymes. For example, having seen two, maybe three episodes of "Inhumanoids" when it was airing (around the same time), I can sing the much catchier theme from its opening from memory.

  • Actually I liked the theme song. the show was pretty decent too. Great animation. Too bad it didnt last.

  • I didn't dislike it; it just didn't stick in my memory the way the catchier themes of several otherwise inferior cartoons of the same era (notably the aforementioned "Inhumanoids," and also "SilverHawks" and "Visionaries") did.

  • Where is the DVD Lucasfilm? Where is the DVD? Not that shoddy 2-part feature flipper disc from a couple years ago. Where's the complete season?!?

  • This really brings back memories. I'm surprised it only lasted one season. I really liked it and watched it all the time.

  • in which peroid is based this show?

  • between Episode 3 and 4

  • 1985

  • For the first second, I thought C-3PO was singing.

The song reminds me of Mystery Science Theater 3000.

  • OMG brilliant cartoon show, terrible theme though, all well never judge a book by its cover

  • oh bullshit. the theme was great

  • lol when i was a little kid i'd always wondered where was luke and chewie

  • A million years beyond the weak and pathetic Clone Wars series... Such a sad attempt to reclaim greatness.

  • Which Clone Wars series? The CG one sucks ya but the Genndy Tartakovsky one was pretty wicked.

  • youre weird, to each their own I guess :p

  • I never knew about this show. This is kinda cool my little cousin likes it.

  • I always loved this song,it was kinda my theme song when I was growing up, always getting into trouble, lol

  • is dat c3p0 and R2?!

    whoa total awesomeness!!!

  • i love this cartoon

  • stepping softly in a danger zone, no weapon in my hand, its just this frame disigned by man, got me in trouble again, i put my life in destiny in the serface of my friends, I wouldnt care but it is a dangerous affair, Im in trouble again, trouble again! Those are very profound lyrics....you wont hear that anymore!

  • i am a big fan of the theme song of this show, i though it was sting and it isnt it's some dude named stewart copeland maybe? but i used to catch this leaving out for school and would sing the theme song to school, i miss that, in trouble, in trouble, IN TROUBLE...........(dum,dum)

  • i share my fasination for this cartoon with all of you guys, one time i went to a comic and toys store i spot a r2d2 of the series cartoon four or five years ago,i did`n buy it in that moment when finally i decided to buy it the toy was gone something i`ll regret my whole life,i`m in trouble again, trouble again,in trouble,in trouble,in trouble.

,estoy en apuros otra vez, apuros otra vez,in apuros,en apuros,en apuros.

  • One of the best toon songs ever. Sweet.

  • "R2D2 as himself" I hear hes got a condo in malibu. Anthony Daniels used to stop by and try and clean the puke off his hologram projector, but when he started waving his soiled adapter in Daniels' face and sprayed waste oil and grease on him D2 went too far. He was arrested for electro-robbery of a Circle K after this series was cancelled. C3PO made 2-1B his new partner and the 2 seem happy despite Lucas denying them royalties.

  • fuck sting I like this song :D

  • Cool! It's not Sting, but rather, one of his buddies singing it.

  • Woah, C-3PO can RUN here. R2D2 as himself. That was cool! Thanks for the video.

  • Crei k a C3-P0 no le gustaban las naves,

y nunca habia visto un AT-AT en el desierto. xD

  • Loved this show as a (Star Wars fanatic) kid, and wish they'd release it properly on DVD. Then again, watching it again as an adult, the first story arc was - IMO - better than the prequel films, so maybe they don't want to show George up? :P

  • LOL you may be right... This series was way beyond what Lucas could attempt to write. Let's admit it: No matter how much people love episodes 4, 5 and 6, they were slightly above mediocre. Episodes 1, 2 and 3 were simply garbage. Lucas created a universe of massive potential that everyone took advantage of EXCEPT him. That's my opinion.

  • I certainly agree on your last point... I get a little angry when SW fans go on about the 'expanded universe' (i.e. what George didn't write) not counting or being 'not real Star Wars' or rubbish... for me,while some EU is poor fanfic, other stuff is far, far superior to even the original films (IMO, books like 'Tales From the Cantina/Tales of the Bounty Hunters'). On the other hand, my fave movie is TESB, which George had the least creative control over, AFAIK... :)

  • well said BanjoOz

  • Droids & Ewoks is going to be on DVD soon do not know when

  • I bought the DVD of this show wanting to see this intro and it doesn't even have it! I feel ripped off. I also thought when you buy a show on DVD you get the entire thing. I was very dissapointed.

  • awesome, i remember that this cartoon was pretty good to me when I was like 6-7 y old... and it was a introduction to sw for me

  • I loved this show when i was a kid every saturday morning on the abc channel. The memories

  • did you know the drummer from The Police recorded ans sang this song how cool is that

  • what a kick ass song that was. I loved it

  • who sang the song? almost sounds like sting

  • Does anybody know if there was ever a full version of that theme.

  • I'd love to know this as well. I really like the lyrics

  • It was apparently written by one of the guys from the band Police but that's all I can find out about it, a shame really cause it's a good song.

  • Stewart Copeland the drummer for The Police performed this song.

  • So it's not just me that loves the lyrics! I like how the lyrics are full of Star Wars jargo yet still is emotional.

  • Wow!

I remember still that I watched both of this cartoon and the Ewoks cartoon at young age, maybe at age of 4 or 5.........Memories! ^^

I didn't regonize that one of the members of the Police did actually sang that intro song :|

It was really awesome for me, it was also really catchy ^^, including the Ewoks theme...in my opinion :)

  • Wow I was just gonna say is that Sting?

  • Thanks for uploading!

  • is this canon?

  • Yes.

  • This intro is so much better without that guy singing.

  • Oh How I ADORED the theme music for this!

  • THE REAL HEROES OF STAR WARS

  • gess wish i was born earlier to see this series n.n

  • You can watch it now. A user by the name of Shadowboro has uploaded all the episodes. The first part of the first episode is under the video responce.

  • Did Sting do the theme song?

  • Stewart Copeland the Police's bass player performed and wrote the theme song.

  • Stewart copeland is the drummer genius!

  • my mistake

  • i am not a droid

  • Can anyone post the 7th episode of Droids which is "The Pirates Of Tarnoonga"? That would be really nice if you did and I would be really thankful.

  • firts time i saw 3PO run lol,great cartoon¡¡¡and song

  • God I miss these. To think of all the othr animated Starwars series they could have did back in the 80's. Droids was great, little stories with little characters that were still terrific. And whata theme song!

  • Kinda hard to believe that the Ewoks cartoon managed to go beyond one season when Droids lasted only 13 episodes plus The Great Heep. There are three ways I know of getting this series. A commercial dvd came out 2 or 3 years ago with 2 of the storylines on it. There is a homemade dvd on eBay sometimes with all episodes on it. If you have bittorrent or eMule you can download it too.

  • is there any crossover between the ewoks and the droids?

  • Not in the shows themselves, but the Marvel comics based on the shows did.

  • Eh,eh I don't know this cartoon, eh,eh! I want to see!

  • Nice, back when life was so simple

  • Ah, the memories...

  • this cartoon never aired in Turkey:(

  • i was 10 when i found out about this, (im 15 now) ive seen every episode, damn i loved this it is sooo good.

  • I remember how much I loved this show. I only wished all the episodes, including "The great Heap" were released on DVD.

  • I remember watching this on Saturday afternoons (followed by The Ewoks). Never liked the Droids intro music, found it too sappy, but i'll admit it was catchy. The Ewoks music was creepier and more memorable.

  • That's some seriously high-quality intro music. Very new wavey. Oh the eighties.

  • I used to watch this when I was a kid. Very good memories!

  • I used to watch this and Ewoks every morning back on Sci Fi Channel back in the early 90's. Wow, the memories. They showed Stingray before that too. Good ol' days when Sci Fi didn't suck.

  • I loved this toon! Long live Starwars!

  • Holy Crap in a HAT!!! I LOVE this show!!

  • Damn I want to download this theme song!! :)

  • Stewart Copeland (of the Police) composed and performed the main title theme as well as the instrumental piece that ran over the closing credits! The end credits piece was always my favorite as it really rocked!

And "In Trouble Again" did NOT feature Sting on vocals. The singer was Derek Holt.

  • Know where I can find the mp3?

  • I always wondered if there was any relation to the Police given the vibe of the title track.

Copeland has done a lot of composing for video games and such...As desolateangel83 asked is there an MP3 of this available...I lived for this show as a kid, I cannot believe Lucas has not breathed new life into it?!

  • They should have extended THIS series instead of "Ewoks" back in 1986. I loved this show, though I thought the animation could have been a bit better, especially on R2.

  • Thanks for this. I used to watch this along with Ewoks. I had totally forgotten the theme song to this show...the Ewoks theme however is hard to forget :-(

  • Wow this show looks like it rocked. I hope there's A 'These aren't the droids you're looking for' bit. That would be funny as.

  • Man!! AAHHHHH SHIT!!! This is from back in the day when I was a kid!! I love this theme song. Thanks for posting as always.

  • oh, what a flashback!

    i loved this stuff!

  • Sounds like sting and the police, did this song

  • you are correct

  • OMG!!! the memorys from a kid =) this stuff rocked!!!!

  • LOL that ruled. man..i wanna go back to the 80's and be a kid again.

  • Haha, funny, I was just thinking that too

  • Aaah... I just love how monochromatic textures were used for a lot of logos and name designs back in the 80's, good times, good times...

  • ..Damn, how can a cartoon be THAT bad? Kinda scarry, i suppose..

  • I like the theme song. Good stuff.

  • its not Sting or Stewart Copeland or the Police that do this but a clever set of wannabes that created this theme song.

  • Actually, Stewart Copeland wrote this and the intro song for 'Ewoks'.

  • sorry hortha but this is stewart copeland solo . he's done alot pf cartoon , anime songs . i've always liked this song myself . nice lil diddie

  • I dont care what anybody say's. Star Wars Droids was awesome. It should've lasted longer with the Ewoks. I remember watching both series on ABC Saturday Mornings before Super Powers Team:Galactic Guardians.

  • me as a kid

  • I remember watching this years and years ago in the late 80s when I was really young. I distinctly remember a character called "Orin Yom." Not sure if I am crazy or not, but damn it was a while ago. The cartoon was pretty nifty for very young kids. Otherwise, not so much.

  • I used to love this theme song;I had no idea it was the Police. This Is cool;Sting roxx.

  • The same studio, Nelvana, that animated the "Droids" series also did the animated segment in "The Star Wars Holiday Special" which was probably where this series got its start.

  • i love that intro. thanx

  • ha ha i like that song ^_^

  • I like how they introduce Anthony Daniels as the voice of C-3PO and R2-D2 as "himself"! :D

  • Omg

    That was so gay

I think I used to watch this when I was a youngling

    It just seems familiar

  • Best...theme song...ever!

  • This changes everything. C-3PO wasn't a little homo, he was just a diva.

  • wow like the song im in trouble again

  • The theme is sung by the Police that Sting used to be a member of.

  • I love this song. Show wasn't bad either. Ewoks ending theme is also cool...

  • Isn't this one of the catchy songs you have ever heard? I've been singing it all day at work!

  • ...there's a Spanish version??

  • The Spanish version of the song was 100 times better.

  • The whole lyrics were too long, and I had to split it up between comments. Here's where it continues...

    I put my life/In jeopardy

In the service of my friends

    I wouldn't care/But it's a dangerous affair

    I'm in

    Trouble again/Trouble again

    In trouble/in trouble/in trouble

  • close, but you got some of the lyrics a bit wrong, i think. i believe it's

strapped in softly/in a danger zone

    no weapons in my hands

it's just this brain/desinged by man

    that's got me in

    trouble again/trouble again

    the rest seem ok

  • I think I've got it...these are what I can make out of the lyrics:

    Stepping softly/In a danger zone

    No weapons in my hands

    Just this frame/Designed by man

    Got me (in)

    Trouble again/Trouble again

  • Yay!! I found my old video!! Also...someone needs to post the lyrics to this. I can't really make out the beginning words...

  • the intro rocks. i loved watching this show when i was a kid

  • That sounds like The Police singing there.

  • Stewart Copeland did the intro song... Guess is him singing...

  • I agree; I wish I could find my old video that HAS the intro on it. Thanks for posting this!!

  • Yikes... the song is much worse than I had remembered it to be. Maybe this is why they left it off the DVD release?

  • They left it off the dvd release cause they are scumbags. Actually, I read somewhere that the dvd is missing about 20 minutes of the original tv version for both stories that are on there. I believe that article also said that they didnt want to include the intro cause they felt it was a horrible intro. I feel that makes it an inferior dvd release.

  • I was going

  • I meant to put up that I was going tobuy the DVD's till I read that.

  • that was one of the best theme songs ever.. if you check out the lyrics it explains the situation of a droid.. no one gives a shit about em... cuz there not alive.. "I b cuz of this brain Dzined by men.. i got in to trouble again." think about it.

  • You know..... *scratches head in thought* now that I'm seeing this again, it kinda makes me a bit sad because, and I know this may sound really strange, it makes me wish I could go back and re-visit my childhood for just one day, to relive the memories and see things I loved again.

  • Amen to that!!!!

  • I know what you mean. If time travel was possible I'd go back to the 80's any time I wanted.

  • Ha I was just hinking about that today. I would just like to go back every saturday morning:)

  • OMG! This used to be one of my absolute favorite cartoons when I was a kid. I always loved the opening song. Thanks for posting.

  • greatt musicccccccc

  • La letra de la canción es un homenaje a la paz, no hay porqué resolverlo todo a palos... de las mejores series ochenteras...

  • I miss this cartoon.

THe song has a cool tune.

  • no it's not Who ever thought of hiring him as a singer

  • WOW!

  • Great!!!

  • Wow...this is SO strange...

It's as if the makers were high or something. :O
