yes but it is seriously comming into magic and being a much bigger part of magic than it was just 10 years ago. It will get to the stage where you HAVE to know some flourishes in order to do tricks,I think magicians should be allowed to choose to use them or not. I feel flourishes are always trying to hide something,I personally feel theres no need for them what so ever,

@dougall360 I see where you're coming from but is in reality a minority of people who want to incorporate flourishes within magic (fine by me- their choice) I am with you in the viewpoint of flourishes in routines- they really have no place (however I choose to produce aces in flourishy ways) The aim for flourishes is actually to become separate from magic.The future of flourishes isn't a "takeover" of magic but as something of its own, which the virts and many others are trying to push for. :)

Yes I know it is a small selection of people,but I am sure that number will grow. I dont have any objection to flourishes,I agree they look very nice when done,and the way you use them fair enough,but flourishes like these ones in the video have no place in magic I feel. I would have rather grew up in the previous generation where it was just pure sleight of hand,and none of this fancy rubbish

@harry140813 There isn't really a name for it since it's mostly just a thumb-cut combo, but if it helps to alleviate any uncertaintly, you can call it... 'The Thumb Cut Combo.'

Its like "hey, here's someone flourishing, but wait there is someone else in the background flourishing too!" Its total eye candy, thats all I can say. That was when the Anaconda was still called the 60cm Dribble. =) The technique has since evolved a whole lot... and if you were to see Bone do it today with the updated technique... it makes all his Anacondas in the old videos look really tiny. Haha you'll get to see that real soon actually. ;)

That's sad to hear. I'd say tone down on the Gatorade, and up on the Red Bull - the surge of caffeine will do wonders for your performances. Can't say the same about your health though.

Anyway, the move that Huron does at 0:44 is part of his Firefly combo, which is done entirely without gimmicks.

And for that matter, all of our flourishes can be done without gimmicks - all it takes is dedicated practice.

We're called Virtuoso, but our friends refer to us as The Virts. Kev isn't related to Bone Ho, but they're buddies with the same last name. Yeah! Keep going in flourishing! It's an awesome art that still has a long way to go, and me and the team have lots more to share, so stay tuned. =D

The hook thumbcuts are just standard thumbcuts done with modified motions! So I didn't learn it from anywhere per se, I just experimented with the 'how' to make it visually 'fresh'.
