Yeah, there was a possibility in the original Naruto for Sasuke and Sakura. Even though she's shown as pathetic, sometimes I felt a connection between the two. In Shippuuden, there is no chance for them. NaruSaku, maybe.

Heres some major points that I feel alot of people are neglecting to consider.

1. Naruto is an extremly slow pased series, fights scenes mainly consist of two or more ninjas standing off and staring at eachother, making random threats, or thinking about events in their heads.

2. When actual action takes place, such as a attempt to strike, the characters will always magically freeze time and go through an entire train of thought in an instant, thus boring the veiwer to death.
