Insects & Bugs : Where Do Fruit Flies Come From?

Every time i see a fruit fly, i catch a few in a container and squish them softly with a cotton stick, after they're dead i prepare my stove and put some vegetable oil and butter, I put the fruit flyes in the pan with vegetable oil and butter and cook them till theyre fried and sprinkle them on spaghetti. :)

yeah but do they hatch from already laid eggs in the fruit? cuz they just show up out of nowhere, even when the windows are closed, it seems - or do they come in through the cracks of (closed) windows smelling the fruit from outside?

Duh!! Fruit flies are the result of Fruit Fly sex. While you are sleeping at night, the fruit flies are out partying and having wild sex. When you wake up in the morning the fruit flies are normally exhausted and back to eating fruit to recharge their energies for the next round. To eliminate fruit flies all you need to do is to confuse them by showing them videos of Lady Gaga. The resulting fruit fly imitations of Gaga's insect like movements usually results in death, even for fruit flies.

we dont have fruit just trash in the garage. thats stinks. they eat f'in old chickien and all other stuffk crawling in the toilet lol. we spray all fruit flies with bleach. they are so smart though

this doesn't explain it well.. you never see fruit flies outside flying about, so my guess is that they come from the fruit

well I have little tiny flying insects that are annoying but I don't think they're fruit flies. they look more like flles with wings instead of tiny flies.

they were actually tiny humpback flies, apparently some weeds from doing yardwork got stuck at the bottom of my trash can and started to rot which is where the flies came from. I was able to get rid of them once I figured out where their breeding ground was. They don't look like fruit flies, they look a lot more like fleas with wings.
