I'm in cosmo school and we put the "Wen" shampoo to the test today against Paul Mitchell Volumizing shampoo, the Wen failed miserably. When you see all these fancy after photos... its all a hox. You can do anything with a blow dryer and the right tools. Plus how can something both cleanse and condition? you can't open and shut a door in the one movement and you con't cleanse and condition with the one product. Don't waste your money go to a professional. If it sounds too good to be true, it is.

@MommyslilZombie I'm an actual customer of Wen & have been for over 3 years. I take MY Wen TO the SALON when I get my hair done. Every stylist has commented on how WELL it works & where to get it. I have baby fine color treated hair & BEFORE Wen I had to use dozens of products just to get a comb through. NOW all I use is the Wen Cleansing Conditioner, Styling Creme, & Volumizing Treatment Spray. It is NOT a hoax. I would be happy to elaborate if I had more room. I LUV Chaz for creating this

It seems like you're using a lot of that conditioner. It said it's a 3-month supply.. Will it really last 3 months with how much you use each time?

@mbhatesdb YES at first it will seem like you use a lot of the Cleansing Conditioner & YES it will last a while - depending on your hair type - thickness and other factors. start off with 5 pumps to the very top of your scalp (crown), another 5 to each side (temple) 5 more at the back of your head and if you have long hair (past shoulders) another 5 pump tot he length. In total a minimum of 25. I have very thin hair & still use 30 plus pumps.

Okay, this is kinda a dumb question, but, i don't exactly know what kind of hair type I have. I think it's thick, but a girl felt my hair and said it was normal. but i dunno. How do I know which product to get?

If you aren't sure what hair type you have, try starting off with one of the universal formulations like the Pomegranate Cleansing Conditioner or the Sweet Almond Mint Cleansing Conditioner. Any of our cleansing conditioners can be used on all hair types, but those are the best ones to start off with if you aren't sure what to classify your hair type as. I hope this helps!

Dang. you use this thing like 12489x its going to finish and you have to pay AGAin and again and again. atleast a normal shampoo and conditionor dont even total up to how much we pay for a small amount of WEN.

REALLY paranoid about using 40 pumps of conditioner... I'd probably run out after a couple of months. .___. I have thick hair that reaches down to mid-back. It's slightly coarse, but nowhere near, like, African-American hair. And I usually wash it about twice a week.

@Kari166 Hello there, Kari! I have hair the same length as yours and it's rather thick. I use quite a lot of cleansing conditioner, but because of that I purchase the larger sizes. They last longer and you don't have to use as many pumps because the pump dispenses more product. I only cleanse my hair once or twice a week and never find that I run out of product too quickly. If you think about it, using 40+ once a week isn't nearly as much as using 24-32 every day or every other day!

At the risk of sounding like a paid endorser, I began using this product a couple of months ago and am now ordering it in bulk. I simply cannot return to the use of shampoo. Having hair that tends to be oily, I was skeptical that this product could clean well enough. My hair is actually now LESS oily than it was before, and it is soft and supple. I need NO other styling products. One bottle, one product, and voila! Love it, love it, love it! Thank you so much for a wonderful product.

@DesAllen7 Hello there! We would never suggest for someone to use 100 pumps a day. For longer, thicker hair we suggest a minimum of 40. When we recommend to cleanse, rinse and repeat, we always state to use half the amount suggested for the first cleanse and the other half for the second, bringing you to the same total.

@XXemorissaXX We generally suggest to use cooler water if your hair is color-treated as it helps your color to last longer. However, if your hair is not color-treated you can use whichever you'd like.

@XXemorissaXX definitely no. mildly warm or the COOL-est temp you can be comfortable in. Hot water strips your natural and necessary body oils and will also open the hair cuticle and wash your color down the drain... but SO use PLENTY of water to rinse BEFORE and AFTER...

Only one has hair down to the middle of her back, the rest are shoulder length or shorter. There are also three guys. Showering daily how much should I truly buy to get through a month.

hello! I tried the sweet almond mint and it made my scalp greasy and my ends beautiful, so i tried the cucumber aloe and its wonderful for my scalp but now my ends arent as soft- i have normal to medium hair like this woman- should i try the lavender instead?

If you are having trouble with your ends being neglected or your scalp being neglected it simply means you are not using enough cleansing conditioner to get a thorough cleanse. I suggest cleansing twice in a row to insure you get a thorough cleanse! I hope this helps.

daaannnnggg the bottle will last a week or two if you wash your hair daily! that's a LOT of product! and why not just design the pump to dispense more product per pump so you don't have to sit there and pump it a hundred times per shower? it really is an awesome product, i've used it, but soooo not practical for the everday person imo

When you use the smallest bottle, you have to use a lot because the pump can only dispense so much physically due to the thick formulation of the product. However, the larger the bottle, the larger the pump, which is more convenient when you have to use a larger number of pumps. I hope this helps.

The average person loses 75-100 strands of hair a day. Unless you are allergic to an ingredient in our products, there are no harsh chemicals, detergents or stripping agents that could possibly cause your hair to fall out! Try testing a small amount on the inside of your elbow and see if irritation occurs. If so, you should contact your physician! I hope this helps.
